    These are the kind of scenes that make this game. Drack is a great character, veteran warrior on the outside but very caring and lovable on the inside.

      thats why i call him "badass grandpa" :) i guess that saying "with age comes wisdom" holds true for drack

    The thing I like the most about Drack is that he makes me feel for him in a way that I never got from either Wrex or Grunt. The whole thing about him being over 1400 years old and having fought in the Krogan rebellions... it's not necessarily unique: it's actually pretty strongly implied by Wrex at various points that he, too, is old enough to remember the rebellions and the Genophage. The difference is that Drack is much more colored by his past compared to Wrex. They both believe in a better future for the Krogan, but where Wrex is proactive about shaping that future, Drack instead sees himself as a relic. An expendable pawn that must be sacrificed to bring it about. He resists others telling him that he has value as a person, beyond his usefulness as a soldier. It kinda brings out in a stronger way the real tragedy of what happened to the Krogan. Grunt barely connects with it, and even Wrex at his most cynical and fatalistic in ME1 is only so because he already tried and failed to change things for the better. Drack hasn't, he comes off to me as having given in a lot more to the fatalism a lot of Krogan must have experienced post-genophage, to such a degree that even with people Like Kesh and Lexi around him he struggles to let go of that mindset, and I think that's really sad.

      Wrex is 800 when the rebellions were 1100 years ago. He probably watched his own people bomb themselves back into tribes but he never the genophage first release

      Imagine Humanity finally being able to explore the stars, being heralded as heroes for winning a war that no other race could, only for the other races to turn around and obliterate us, strip us of all our weapons and just to rub salt in the wounds, release a virus that makes only a third of all births viable.
      Granted, its not like The Council went to war with The Krogans over nothing, but it would make one pretty jaded to see their culture fall apart and their people splinter into a shadow of their former selves.

    damn its unsettling how much he reminds me of my own dad too stubborn and strong for his own good but deep down knows how bad it all is. hes seen war been through hell and back and came out the other side broken from it but survived. its true what drack says surviving isnt always living but if you can you do it anyway because thats how life and instinct works. even easier if you have a purpose like having a child.

    I believe people were too harsh with Andromeda. Scenes like this got me super close with the team. Drack, Vetra, Lexi, Jaal, Peebee, Cora. I thought Cora would be the bossy one, like Ash and Miranda were, but she felt so original and how she just wanted to belong. Drack with his "I'm just living in the moment, but I'll share what I've learned." Vetra having to learn that she deserves to have some personal time instead of having to watch over people, whether it be Sid or the Initiative. Just so much love for the characters. There needs to be more. These characters need to flourish more!

      the exact line is "arm, side, hip part of my leg, strain balancing threading across my spine, its all prosthetic's and implants"... a krogan is a large powerfully built creature so by this description id say its one prosthetic arm plus nerve linkages, reconstructed hip bone possibly the joint, side so half his rib cage and maybe part of his muscles and diaphragm (the part that separates the chest cavity heart/lungs from the thoracic guts/liver replaced/rebuilt, part of his leg so either partial leg prosthesis or synthetic muscle grafts, strain balancing threading across his spine sounds like structural work with his spinal column vertebrae replacement and rebuilding as well as reinforcement to compensate for his old bones or the load of the new parts, possible neural repairs to the spinal chord. so a lot and all of it built to Krogan physical standards which means quite possibly tough as old hull steel and what most other races would consider heavy industrial materials... hes gonna set off metal detectors even when naked that's for sure

    • @jfmn64
      @jfmn64 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Besides the engine and a few elements involving quests and dialogue? very little, it's obviously Bioware so there's the similarities but they're different.

      actually to be fair andromeda has the same sort of map system DA:I did as well as crafting and resource gathering. a few hub planets with an explorable area, major outpost to call home and fast travel points throughout. not a bad thing mind you though i wish the interplanetary travel could be sped up a tad.

    • @Fr0st1989
      @Fr0st1989 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This isn't engine stuff, but they carried over quite a few voice actors
      SAM is played by the woman voiced Calpernia for instance

    • @TheGorox7
      @TheGorox7 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Open world is handled in a similar manner, but builds up on what Inquisition had. You still get dragged into new areas by your main quest, but ultimately most of the things to do in those areas are side quests, not main quest itself. You still have outposts and fast travel points, but the areas are bigger (but also a bit more empty) to accomodate the use of Nomad.

    • @MrZlocktar
      @MrZlocktar 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Only few. And to be honest that barely can be called as a DAI elements. I have really nice time playing this game for 95 hours. Best hours in this year i think. All i can say, that the history is not in the main quests. The history is a world itself. If you will try to force into main story as fast as you can, you will not understand the game how it should be. Surprisingly this game is very deep for those who play correctly. The characters, their life, their history, the world life, the way it live and change.. Just to many details in this game. Too many. I am very impressed with it. Even after game was complete. World was still alive and still react to everything i did. Can't wait for next part in this new trilogy.

    This is sadly pretty much the only scene i can think of in the entire game that was good.It was well written, told you much about the character, and even reflected on your own character. It's sad this is an exception.Pretty much everything else that is supposed to be emotional falls flat.
