Thanks, Karen -- for more inspiration and WIP/STASH BE GONE motivation! And for the lovely clip of the manatees. That first fellow had such a patient, resigned look in his/her eye. Here today in central Alberta it's "mixed precip" which is Weather Speak for rain/freezing rain/snow -- and the wind is brisk. Perfect weather for staying in to knit, knit, knit! 😀
It's not yarn hoarding. It's yarn collecting and we're connoisseurs of fine fibers.....Those colors in the sweater you're wearing today look great on you!
North AL is experiencing very cold weather with snow. A wool sweater would feel wonderful. I enjoyed your podcast. This is the first one of your podcasts I have seen. Will have to back and watch previous ones. Look forward to your next podcast.
I’ll be happy to send knitting stuff to CA if you let us know. When I have a big neck on a sweater like the one you’re wearing, I crochet a couple of rows to pull it tighter
Good eye. It’s the Anthology throw ( not round) and I made it way bigger. Got rid of a lot of scraps and did take a looooong time in fingering weight. Thanks for watching Barb. 💙
I love going to see the manatees whenI visit my daughter in Merritt Island. They’re so big and ugly and adorable. I’ve often seen babies and the River dolphins frequent the area too. (It’s down at the Cape.). Your sweater is lovely! Makes are looking good. Sorry you’re feeling with pain and hope they get that sorted out soon.
Manatees are so amazing and I love that you’re so close to them while visiting. They are very ugly but a wonderful living creature. ❤❤❤❤ keep on knitting! Thanks for watching.
Thank you Karen, I do enjoy your podcast. You have added many items to my list of what to knit this year. But even more you take me away from all those other things you mention at times. I think of knitting and put my mind in a better state.
Have you seen Laura Nelken, she has a technique using barber cord for the gusset where she adds that while doing heel flap. I need to give it a try. I have yarn at the post office but have been snowed in all week and snow falling now, 🤮. Working on 2 test knits pair of socks 1 finished it’s to big but size I agreed to test, second is a hooded cowl and my brain is not interested it’s saying cast on something else!
I have not seen that. I will have to look into that. Always the problem with socks, imho. A hooded cowl? Like a snood? I mean it sounds like you could use it with your weather. Get to knitting!!!😂🧶
Thanks for sharing the manatees with us! Karen, what size needles and what’s your stitch count for your socks? Your sweater is beautiful!! I’m loving your pink yarn purchases!!
Linda, I use 64 stitches and use size 1, 11/2 and 2 dependent on the yarn. These are on 1 .5 and should have been 1. The fabric is a little loose. Glad you enjoyed the manatees. It’s too bad I couldn’t get better photos. Thanks for watching!
Truly enjoy all your podcasts Karen! You are always so inspiring! Happy Knitting!Keep warm!
Thank you! I'm so glad you're here!

You're right, connoisseurs of fine fibers! It's a habit not a problem.
Thanks for watching!
The Dark Sky Neck warmer is beautiful, the color combination is very nice. Great job 👏
Thank you so much! The yarn was a splurge. 😄

I can see a blanket or shawl on the chair in the corner. Is it an Anthology throw, I am making one right now. Wonderful podcast as usual.🎉❤😊
