That picture is not like a csgo knife. Anyone can produce an exact, pixel perfect copy of that shot just by screenshotting that image but you can't replicate a csgo knife in csgo. You can in private servers but others won't be able to see the knife. Owning the original image doesn't really matter in case of digital images because anyone can fully replicate it unlike owning famous paintings that cannot be 100% replicated. It's just the case of rich people buying things just because they want to.

I tried playing Game Dev Tycoon a while ago, but after struggling a bit I remember looking up some info and finding out that to really min-max the profits in the game you can't do something like really try to make great games - as if you do, the gaming public 'gets used' to that quality and judges your future releases much more harshly for it. While there's some logic in that, gameplay wise it makes it far less engaging if your strategy is supposed to be "let's not actually try our best here and intentionally aim for 6s and 7s instead of 9s and 10s".
I’d love to see you try and exploit the similarly named “game dev story” app - it’s decently complex and well built, and by my father’s word it is possible to have your game win grand prize on the very first year - though I have NEVER seen it happen!
