Thanks for the update! I just ordered mine yesterday and really looking forward to using it. Did you keep the factory wiring harness on your Triton or upgrade? My Triton is an ‘04 and I’m on the fence about pulling new wires or just leaving what’s there. Factory wires are in great shape but I think they’re 8ga.
I used the factory wire and plug, mine is 6 gauge. I just run it on 24V. Check to make sure you have the right sized breaker too. Here's the installation video th-cam.com/video/zfsITCo0qAk/w-d-xo.html it was an easy install. All the holes lined up from my Motor Guide so I didn't have to drill any new holes which was a big bonus.
I have noticed that it will backup when you hit the anchor button and takes a minute to settle down. However, it does this because the boat has forward momentum and the motor is trying to get back to the spot that the anchor button was hit. Let's say I have a brush pile marked and as I approach the pile and hit the button the boat will backup and settle down pretty close (within 3 ft) of where I hit the button. I haven't found what Lowrance says the accuracy of the GPS is on the Ghost, but most recreational GPS units say 1 meter which is about 3 ft. I think that's as accurate as the government will allow them. So really the Ghost could wonder around in a 6 ft circle and still be within the accuracy of the GPS. That accuracy could be affected by weather, terrain, or the number of satellites that the Ghost is locked onto. On my graph I have distance rings setup on my map so I know how far I'm from a point. If I hit the anchor button when one of those rings hits my point, the point stays on that ring.
Make sure you go checkout the Installation Video 🚨 th-cam.com/video/zfsITCo0qAk/w-d-xo.html 🚨
Do the bow calibration but put the pedal and the angle you prefer before turning it on. Try that I think it may help you
I'll give that a try. Thanks!!
Heard power pole is coming out with one soon.
I've heard that too... We'll see.
Yeah 5k

When you hit the archor mode does it move the boat around then circle back to the spot you marked before it settles down on that spot?

So shim the front of the pedal with something
That might work
