*Great little trolling motor **enjoyable.fishing** recommend had it hooked up to my 15 foot old town canoe and it pushed it pretty good with me and my son (220 pounds each).*
How's your Ghost been working these past few years? I'm about to get one. I have HDS Live 12 at the bow and HDS Live 9 at the console. Just reaching out to those I see who have installed one. I'll have to pick up the NEMA 2000 components to get everything to talk to each other, but that's fine.
Is yours set up to a 36volt system? I was wondering if just the two wires (one red and one black) in your old receptacle wired together with the other two (one red one black) from the trolling motor will work on 36 volts, if so then that’s how I’m gonna do it.
I noticed you said you stripped some bolts... Brother definitely use anti seize it will save you so many headaches when dealing with stainless on stainless
I believe it was a 7 to 9 pin adapter, but I can’t be positive. I’m heading to grand lake right now so I won’t be able to give you the exact answer until I’m back home next week
Great video. I just installed my Ghost, however the prop will not spin while stowed. It has power to foot pedal and all connections are made. Will it only operate while deployed? I’m used to my old Motorguide. Haven’t had a chance to take it to the lake yet…
If I remember correctly, it will not spin while stowed, but if you deploy it partway, it will spin (similar to if you were holding it up and trolling in shallow water). I can check tomorrow for ya if you’d like
Just installed one at work Tuesday it's a safety feature it will only spin when deployed. But you can half deploy it to check it what voltage are you running 24 or 36? I love the ghost they're brushless it makes them so quiet
Yes. The ghost puck works directly with the ghost and is still needed even if you have a point 1 system/gps in the units on your boat (I did not test it without the puck, but this is what my research has lead me to believe)
My Lowrance Ghost installation manual states that the GPS puck needs to be a “ minimum of 2 feet” from the motor head. I don’t have the room and saw your puck was not 2’. Have you had any issues with your puck location?
The manual says “as far as possible (minimum 2ft) from disturbing magnetic influences such as engines, ignition cables, or other large metal objects” I interpret that to basically say mount it as far away as possible from the trolling motor/graphs for the best results. It will still work perfectly fine if you mount it closer to the trolling motor like I did in the video, but if you’re looking for the best possible results (a difference you might not even be able to notice), then mount it further away. Hope that makes sense.
I do this professionally and the puck doesn't have to be 2' it just needs a clear line to the head of the trolling motor... Also if it's more than 2' to the left or right of your center line you need to calibrate it so your spot lock works properly
HINT! Cut you a small metal plate ( approc 3 x 8) long enough to cover ALL TM heights, screw down under the bump support.pole. Will porevent wearing holes in your carpet.

Also that’s a sick Toyota in the background

Bonjour de France 🇨🇵👋 tu préfères ton minn kota ultrex ou maintenant t'on lowrance Ghost ??? Merci
Does the arrow light light up while stowed?
BTW when you said it sounds cool it made a humming noise. Was that the noise. It was different from when you made the prop spin just before.
Yeah, so when the motor spins in either direction, you can hear what I would call an electronic noise come from the head of the trolling motor
Thanks for the install walk through! Yah - taking off the old Motorguide was the worst part.

In this video my setup was actually 24 volts. On my née boat it’s 36

can you please share the part number for the transducer cable adapter........

@@JenkinsBassFishing yes that would be awesome! Thanks
Hey I know I’m responding late, but it will not work while in the stowed position!

I was running it 24v when I originally installed it, but I just bought a 2012 triton 20xs so now it’s on 36v. They are super quiet indeed
Do you need the GPS puck if you have the GPS on the HD live fish finder?
Yes. The ghost puck works directly with the ghost and is still needed even if you have a point 1 system/gps in the units on your boat (I did not test it without the puck, but this is what my research has lead me to believe)
Interesting. That would save you the trouble of installing another puck for sure
Does the puck come with the trolling motor?
Is that the 52?
It was the 47”

Thanks man. I used it the following day and I love it!

That’s on my list to do!
They actually make a pad it's cnc material just for that and you screw it down so if you remove it your carpet won't be damaged
What would you do without me man
With that “bitch” beer u probably can’t even bait a hook.
Lol. I was thinking the same thing
I bet you 2 are fun at parties.
Wood deck , ewwww 🤮
