    24/7 pain for decades slowly kills you. I've had a nonstop headache (that's been worse lately) due to 3 neck injuries (the last one in 2018 also split my head open) since Oct. 1, 1995. I've been to over 110 doctors (of all types), healers, shamans, etc. No one knows how to help me. I've realized that it's up to ME to heal me...if I can. Anyway, I do wish there was more that could be done for neck damage. All of my neck is a mess (and now my back has issues too) but the headache seems to come from the cervical area...very top of my neck at C1/C2. I am a fan of yoga, by the way. Thank you for this channel and helping so many people change their lives. I'm so glad that John is feeling so much better!

    This is so encouraging ❤ I had spinal fusion surgery 20 years ago and am now herniated at the two levels above my fusion. My surgeon recommends the fusion of my entire lumbar spine. N.O.T. going to take that road! Starting DDPY is the best thing ever! Thanks for sharing your journey.

      I understand my friend, I understand. Came out of hospital 5 days ago. My disc is herniated and have been pretty much bed ridden for 3 weeks. The amount of nerve pain I've been experiencing down my fight leg is unreal. brought me to tears.
      I'm very determined to recover and become stronger. I already lost 9kg in the last 3 weeks. Been eating less. Starting to stand up and walk a bit. I sat down for breakfast today!! Amazing. I could actually sit for 5 minutes. .
      I will beat this hell.

    My story is quite similar...I had severe herniated disks for about 5 years. I was bedridden and in constant pain. I tried (almost) everything to fix them and finally got surgery. Then I reinjured 8 months later and made the decision to start DDP Yoga a couple months after that. I did it almost exclusively for exercise 3-6x week for about 5 years and was 99%+ pain free and the most flexible I'd ever been. For the last 6 months, I have been lifting weights again and working out hard while doing the program 1-2x week for recovery and to stay healthy. During my DDP yoga only phase, I lost about 40 lbs, but am now putting back on the muscle I had before my injury. I was in the best shape of my life as I got injured 10 years ago and I'm almost back to that form. I also met DDP about 6 months in when he came to my area for a seminar. The program changed my life and if I ever hurt my back again, it will be back to DDP Yoga 3-6x per week.

      Are you serious??? I mean.. my lower back is messed up, do to an accident that I have when I was 9 years old. I'm from Paraguay. I can explain the injury, but basically the 4 last vertebrae are all mush up together.. I'm trying to get healthy now, with the help of my son, but it's really frustrating because it hurts, not like my muscles, my back hurts... And I'm searching something to do with him, because I can tell he worries about me.... Can this be my solution. I don't want to loose weight, don't want to do lifting, just want to DO SOMETHING that doesn't hurt and try to get healthy, I'm 40 and my son is 16.. so I still have so much to do for him that I came to the realization that I have to do it for HIM... There's no way out..

    • @peterblanchette8802
      @peterblanchette8802 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Update...I've been lifting ever since I wrote this post and my back still feels great...I've admittedly been doing less yoga these days, but still some to stay with it a bit. I am very careful lifting, but getting pretty strong (for me) and life is awesome. I would say if you really want to get better, I would say do DDP Yoga often. I really liked the combination of flexibility and strength it provided me which is what clearly healed my back over time...remember, it took me about 5 years or consistentand frequently work, but after that, I am basically as good as new.

    *I hope I can get myself to start this program. I own it. I'm looking at it right now. I've bought any and everything that says it's going to help. It's all sitting in a pile by my bed. I'm so scared of the pain I think it's going to give me that I can't get myself to start. I'm so sick of the pain. I'm at the bottom. I had the surgery & it made things worse. It allieviated the sciatica, but the scar tissue that formed around the nerve that was cut off by the disc is causing so much pain, I can barely get out of bed. I can't even put up the Christmas tree this year for my kids & I'm doing all of my shopping from my bed. I want SO badly to move forward, but am too scared of even more pain. I can't explain the excrutiating pain I feel from just sitting up. I'm truly at ROCK bottom. I've doubled my size in the past 3 years since undergoing surgery. I'm so miserable, I can't even explain it.*

      Britt T I feel you, literally. I just bought DDP Yoga for myself for Christmas. I have tried numerous things, all with various results. Some helped one thing but hurt another. Others didn't do a darn thing. My spine is a disaster! I was a competitive dancer, did martial arts, single mom running around after a kid while working full time AND going to college full time. I was an ortho/rehab nurse. KILLED my back. By age 30 I was applying for Social Security and suffering from 8 herniated discs, spinal stenosis and permanent nerve damage in my neck and lumbar. Doc said there wasn't a surgery he could do I was such a mess. When I lost ability to go up on my toes while putting mac & cheese on the shelf (I'm short, I can't reach anything!) I had the surgery to get the disc off the nerves. Did NOTHING for my pain. I am in week 2 of DDPY now, just doing BedFlex for now. I just signed up for the teampDDPyoga website. I'd be honored to have you as my friend there and we can go thru this together. I haven't figured out how to find people on there yet, but I'll look for you! I'm on twitter at @Dcap529 if you want to find me there too! Hugz. You can keep going. Once you decide to, you WILL do it!
