This rings home. I am 12 months sober,+12 months of DDP = 120lbs lost.
I feel this guys struggle. Last year I reinjured my back, I was debilitated for months, I couldn't lay in a bed and sleep for 3 weeks, physical therapy didn't help, but getting on a treadmill did. I was at 310 pounds and my doctors were too scared to offend me to tell me I need to lose weight. I started very slowly losing weight, but I would still wake up every morning with back pain. I decided I need to go all in on this, I started changing my diet, lifting weights. Today I'm down to 260, I still have a long way to go, and want to get to about 210 which used to be my ideal weight in my 20s when I lifted weights and jogged and was in good shape. Now it's very rare to wake up with pain in my back. People like this helped inspire and challenge me, thank you.
Have you ever tried sleeping in a nylon camping hammock?? I have a back that's been fused with a disk replacement that I reinjured and heard people talk about how it helped them sleep and not wake up sore.. I went out and bought a $50 hammock from a sporting goods store that has the nylon straps.. hung it up in our basement den and have been sleeping in it going on 3 years now.. it's been a life changer.. there's tons of information on how to hang one properly and how to lay in it at an angle
Get after it brother! I severely herniated L4/L5 years ago now and used ddpy to get back to good health. Hurting your back is extremely debilitating it's no joke. Super proud of your progress keep it up!!!
@EngineeringGoneWrong when I was in my 20s and used to work road construction with concrete and I'd hear of guys complaining about their backs I thought they were just being lazy..in my 30s I found out how debilitating back issues really are.. the pain is the last thing you go to sleep with on your mind and as soon as you go to get out of bed it's the first thing on your mind.. when I started having back pain was when the doctors would write you a prescription for a bunch of opiate pain meds and tell you to let them know when you were almost out.. I was on them life ruining things for years until I realized that the pharmaceutical company had turned me into an addict.. took some fighting but I kicked those things down the road over 4 years ago..
@bendaves77 I got lucky in that they don't hand out opiets like they used to. So glad you got off of them man!
Love to see people get out of the holes we dig for ourselves ❤❤❤❤
I’m just binging these videos and crying tears of joy. Congratulations, your life matters 🫂
Hugest congratulations on your hard work, grit and determination.
these DDP yoga stories are always great and uplifting
That's an incredible story, you have every right to be proud of yourself. Your doctor however, he should be criminally responsible for the b s he spewed: If you should have been in a wheelchair, you would have been. What a bobblehead quack.
I broke my back in my late 20's, I didn't even know I did until 10 years later. It took me another 5 years to really figure out how to sustainably manage the discomfort and lack of mobility with targeted exercise, for me that was kettlebell training. I am 58 now, I have been exercising regularly for 41 years and I have no issues or limitations. Yet when I learned that I had broken my back and that it is an old calcified injury, the quack MD (manager of diseases) told me that I should be on disability and that I will end up in a wheelchair.
Well done sir you deserve to be happy and share it with your family I love these dpd yoga clips anything is possible ❤
Vet with some awful PTSD here. Quitting drinking was the single most profound change ive made in life. I already knew and was good at fitness so that wasnt a concern for me, but, getting off that wagon was hard. Now, Im no longer even tempted by it because im never going back to that hole again.
If Scotty Riggs can do it
If Aaron can do it
SOOOO CAN I
SOOO CAN You!
Just started week 3 of DDPY. Lost 12 lbs. Fat my whole life. Tried ddpy trial. That it was dope left it at that. Found a better relationship with food.
For the first time I got down to 295lbs since I was 17 years old. That's losing over 100 lbs in a bit over a year.
Then moved back to WA found new love old habits crept back in and gained it all back.
Now I'm on my journey again more wise and stronger than ever. I did It once and I can do it again.
BUT BETTER!
It's about 1 percent better every day.
IM ABOUT TO GET REAL LOUD...

I wish I was as strong as this guy and all the other inspirational people giving it all they got to be happy and healthy…I so scared though…I can barely walk 20feet without running out of breath…I’m really scared…I am so sorry…I didn’t know how else to express this to anybody
Once you've reached rock bottom, there is only one way to go...but you need to take that first step. I don't drink much but my next beer I'll toast to finding YOUR success story on youtube. I won't even know it's you, but it will be there. You make the choice today, May 28th 2024 is your new birthday.
You got this brother. Walk those 20 ft. Then 25 ft. Then 100, 1000, etc.
thank you ddp yoga for the continuous inspiration
I am 40 and my cousin who is the sme age as me spends almost everyday drinking and if not everyday definitely on the weekend. on weekends it's half a bottle of whiskey minimum and some days even a full bottle of whiskey. He has a wife and daughter and I know he wont make it past 45 the way he is drinking. has been drinking like crazy since he was 25.
I have told him numerous times but to no avail. I feel like a broken record. I also drink but once in a while a beer or two. But it's not a habit for me. He has issues from his childhood when his father passed away when he was 10 and mother's health wasn't good and she passed away when he was 17. refuses to go to therapy nor sop drinking. unfortunately it's just a waiting game now.
Big congratulations to AAron for making this change. All the best for the rest of your life.
Incredible transformation. Mind , body, and spirit. Congratulations for taking your life back and living it!

I know the feeling drinking every day 1L of beer. Getting a baby soon. I also need to change something. But the start is also the finish.
💜💪🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow
When you realize, you’re the problem. Good job brother.
Im 25stone 350 lbs. Do you have a voucher code
Wasn't @ddp supposed to work with sabu??
😭
I see men do it mostly but is it too hard for women or is it at everyone own pace?
There are videos of women doing this too - I’m a 61 year old woman and I’m starting tomorrow morning. You definitely modify what you need to, this is giving me hope for the first time in a very long time.
It‘s also for women. You can start in every level. There are even exercises if you are bedridden or have to lean on a chair to stand. And you get tips on how to modify exercises so that you can do them.
Alcohol needs to be abolished
It’s been tried and it didn’t work. People can make this change, regardless of the legality of alcohol or other substances.
No. Addiction doesn't have to be pointed at one thing! If we did that we would ban cheeseburgers / salt / pepper / allergens you name it. We need to be able to say no. Learn to speak up and get help when someone has an addictive behavior.
Aaron Stopped Trumping!
Covid or jabs? Tell the truth.
