  • More info on how to successfully paint a fridge to match IKEA kitchen cabinets…
Fridges come in limited colours, silver and white mostly. So if your kitchen colours aren't those, what do you do? Probably nothing. It's just a fridge, after all. But what if you could make it all match?

I can't believe you even attempted this! It looks absolutely amazing. Well done.

Ha! It’s true I might have regretted it a lot. Thank you.

Wow, you're so brave! I'd be terrified to even think about painting my fridge. Well done! It turned out great.

Thank you. It could have been removed if it really failed, so it wasn’t much more of a risk than painting furniture. And now you know that it’s possible! 😁

Rachel, this looks amazing! Slick Stick is a great primer - I used it on our air fryer several months ago along with Silk by Dixie Belle and it is holding up great!

What was the paint you used on top of the primer, please? Do you know if they have a sky blue in their range? If not, can you recommend another brand? Your fridge freezer looks amazing, and i can't wait to do mine!

Thanks so much. The paint is Deep Sea by Dixie Belle. Chalky Blue or Quiet Cove could work for you. There’s also a Color Lab on their site to work out how to mix the colour you’re after.

Lovely work! I have a similar fridge with inset "handles" for opening the doors and I was wondering how the paint has been holding up there? Has it been lifting or peeling at all? Regards from Canada.

Hi, thanks so much. I did a 6 month update where I added fresh paint combined with sealer to the bottom handle and that has been great ever since. It only had minor nail scratches but an easy fix.

The fridge looks great and very nice video, you might want to use a 25 ltr rubbish bag over the rolling tray (as foil is sensitive just like us men 😂) then just tie up and throw away,

Did you use a foam roller?

    • @TeaandForgetmenots

I used a micro fibre roller to smooth it out, yes.
