Everyone knows how fast S58s are with bolt ons and a tune, but to think the Demon is faster straight out the box while still retaining a factory warranty is incredible. Autoglory providing us with quality content and races as per usual.
I dont get why the BMW fanboys get so angry when their car loses. Smh. The M3 put up a great fight. However, the Demon 170 was a little too much in this race. No shame in losing to a 170. For those saying there is a 300hp difference, this is false information. The M3 has 750+ wheel hp. Also, the front seats have been replaced with carbon bucket seats. And the rear seats have been removed completely. This is probably good for over 100+lbs weight savings. The M3 ran the quarter in 9.3 at 150mph. So it is very very fast. Saying the Demon is "slow" or overrated because the M3 kept up is foolish. The Demon on E makes about 920whp. It has tremendous torque levels and nasty pull. It is extremely fast despite the hefty weight. The only thing holding it back is the speed limiter. Just enjoy the races, guys!! If your car lost, dont take it too seriously. It is all for fun. Props to Auto Glory for giving us these crazy races.
M3's come stock with Carbon Fiber buckets. Basic bolt on w/ a 3.0L inline 6. No car out there is making easier power gains than the S58 right now. And that 8.0 run the other day will soon be dipping 7's. In a street car on drag radials

He also has a carbon fiber hood. He has them because it provides decent weight savings. He also removed the back seats. Again… weight savings. The Demon 170 has 920whp and weighs nearly 4,300lbs. Power to weight is a huge factor. There are Audi TT RS [stock turbo] cars running 9 second quarters with just 550whp. As for BMW, everyone knows the S58 platform is very capable. The point I was trying to make is, a 750whp car that was much lighter than its more powerful competitor put up a great fight. You mentioned this M3 will soon be dipping into the 7s. Come on bro. I used to own a 21'M4 xdrive .. The S58 makes good power easily, but it sounds like shit. The boomy fake shift sounds are annoying AF too. Win or lose, the Demon 170 is way cooler IMO. Ultimate modern muscle. Would be cool to see the 170 run a Tesla S Plaid from a roll.

Roll race stock for stock the demon 170 will win for sure. The regular demon kept up with a 992 turbo S in a roll race on carwow with 840hp. The 170 has over 200hp more and the outcome will be different.
It has like 900ish to the wheels and the BMW M3 is probably well into 700s. I expected about what happened. Maybe a little more of a gap but it's probably spinning still since awd with that amount of power

The demon really earns its name. But to realistically buy one you have to dish out $200k. Not worth it for just another challenger. I could imagine you could build a used redeye and get a similar result. Even a 2023 redeye is going for over $100k currently. I would take the bmw that is way cheaper or consider one of the hundreds of American V8’s and upgrade the supercharger and throw a tune on there.

The limiter actually starts cutting power at 140mph slowly that’s why you see that. If it had no limiter it wouldn’t be close at all.

On that 1st run there was still traffic up ahead which didn't help but seeing he let off early both times I'm going to assume it's because he was approaching his limiter range.

Roll race stock for stock the demon 170 will win for sure. The regular demon kept up with a 992 turbo S in a roll race on carwow with 840hp. The 170 has over 200hp more and the outcome will be different.

It has like 900ish to the wheels and the BMW M3 is probably well into 700s. I expected about what happened. Maybe a little more of a gap but it's probably spinning still since awd with that amount of power

The demon really earns its name. But to realistically buy one you have to dish out $200k. Not worth it for just another challenger. I could imagine you could build a used redeye and get a similar result. Even a 2023 redeye is going for over $100k currently. I would take the bmw that is way cheaper or consider one of the hundreds of American V8’s and upgrade the supercharger and throw a tune on there.
The 170 is meant for the track so it has less top-end torque. Still cool to see it out in the wild!
