Hey Rick i think the short answer to "why would anyone want a break barrel when pcp rifles are becoming cheaper?" i used to have a bsa r10 and i loved it but im only a plinker and target shooter and i was getting bored of how easy it was to hit everything every time! so i sold it and now i have 3 break barrels and they are much more challenging to shoot which i love!..it kind of feels so much more rewarding when i hit something. love the videos and i just got that rifel! love it
Glad that you are doing well 🙂👍. Like the Gamo 😉👍. I think that the JSB 10.3 is the winner 🏆. After market trigger screw 2.5 × 10 mm will make a gigantic improvement 😉👍.
I have 3 Gamos that will shoot dime size groups all day at 30 yards and 2 of those are Magnums. Have no idea what your doing wrong. Either the pellet, shooter or something loose on the guns.
He can't tell US when doing these reviews. Gamo can't tell you that either because. I just seen where guys buy longer screws and screw them all the way in. The gun goes off when they close the barrel. Not everyone has the knowledge to keep from hurting themselves or others. They don't even take time to learn the right way. Air gun detectives does say to have a gunsmith do it if don't know what your doing.
I love this rifle. I can't shoot my Big Cat 1200 in my backyard because it sounds like a. 22lr. This rifle sounded quite on the video. The Gamo pellets worked great. I already have thousands of different 177cal pellets. Iam sure I'll find exactly what ammo mine loves. Thanks brother. God bless you. 🎯👍
I purchased the gen2 .177 because I wanted the open sights, and it was a bit cheaper than the gen3. I am amazed at the performance of this rife. The first hundred shots were better than I expected using the provided scope. The rifle shoots far better than I do, and I'm getting quarter sized groups @ 25 yards consistently with 3 different pellets. Hunter Extreme, barracuda match, & gamo redfire did the best so far out of 7 brands. Gamo refires will be my ratting pellets for sure. Cocking the rifle is easy and the rifle has become the new family favorite for match competitions. I purchased 5 magazines initially but will be getting 5 more to keep the fun going. Gamo, if you're reading this, please make a swarm fusion .22 wood stock configuration available. I would definitely pay more for a wood stock option. It would look very nice next to my bone collector 😁. Thank you in advance 👍🏽
Hey Rick. I love the swarm series as well. My Gen 1 was doing under an inch at 50 yards, and half inch at 30. It’s never failed me. I never knew why so many people hate on Gamo. In fact my Gamo rifles, including my Urban, have been the most reliable guns which include guns that cost double close to triple. You should try some Field Target Trophy pellets. For whatever reason my Gamo guns have always loved them. That’s what I got my best groups with in .22 cal. Give them a try. On another note, Rick.. I know you have decent things to say about those scopes that have been coming with the Swarm series, but in my experience they are no good. As soon as I’d mount a UTG my groups immediately closed up quite a bit. Mine never held up for me well at all. It’s to bad because like you said.. it is a decently clear, functional scope. I’m glad to hear you are doing better Rick. I was worried one of my favorite Air Gun reviewers was going to stop making videos. Keep up the good work. Stay healthy and thank you for all your work Rick
Hi Rick, It's good news to hear that you are well. Good luck and all the best. This feed system are interesting. Is the Gen 3 feed system different? One guy complained that his Gen 3 did not have the iron sights. That's too bad as iron sights are nice to have. You didn't say anything about the noise dampening system. What do you think of it? R, Steve
I have a GAMO replay 10x magnum IGT GEN 2 and it broke every scope I have put on... I put a picatinny rail on the 11mm original rail on the rifle and then the scope with some good rings from a .22lr rifle on it and it doesen't hold zero after some time and then brakes the scope... any advice?
How about reviewing the Hatsan Speedfire Magnum 1250 in .22. It's the new magnum multi-shot from Hatsan. Would be good to compare it against Gamo's version.
I've been satisfied with the Fusion Gen 3 in .177 for a week now. Unfortunately not delivered with open sights because I normally only use a rifle scope starting from 21 yards. Now I'm busy firing roughly with fourteen different pellets from 6 brands. This means standing upright with lateral support from a sliding window. Afterwards I take the four best and then try them sitting according to the rules of the shooting technique with a break barrel on a support or a shooting bag. Now I can already say that the Gamo Red Fire will be in the selection and the Crosman Piranha as well. That's why I politely ask you if there's a next shot scheduled to consider the Crosman Piranha and Crosman Domed as additional pellets.
The bone collector is my favorite it’s mid range in power it has plenty of power for hunting but still easy to cock so you can target shoot with it. The magnum is very difficult to cock it’s no fun for target practice with. The bone collector can be used for both
At sea level (25 feet elevation) the swarm spits pellets out of the magazine when shooting. I have 3 magazine's and they all have the same problems. .177 Gen 2 . red fire's suck but JSB exact rs diabolo 7,33 gr are great.
Hey. I just got the swarm gen 3i. Did you notice as you looking through the scope, I can see the end of barrel through scope. It needs a riser. I just can’t believe gamo would do this! Is yours like mine?
With the gen 2 the front sight completely takes up the bottom half of the scope and that’s even with me adding a high scope mount instead of the mount that came with the rifle. I may just take the scope off after my pellet testing is done and use open sights within 15 yards
Facts are great Rick, and we do want those, but what if we also do want some fluff? Perhaps you can make some videos where you give us the facts and a bit of fluff.
I've found very consistently with every Gamo break barrel I've owned, except for one that shot jsb monsters remarkably well... #1 they've all hated jsb's and liked the Benjamin branded hollow points(my understanding is that they are essentially cphp's just with tighter qc). And every one of them found their favorite pellet to be an h&n barracuda variant. Of the 2 I have right now, both .177, one prefers barracuda ft's and they other does best with hunter extremes. Would love to see if that trend holds true with that Fusion Swarm. My Mach 1 fusion also really likes the sniper magnums but unfortunately those seem to be h&n's equivalent to taco bell's Mexican pizza. I should probably also mention the one con with the monsters and sniper magnums. Both had pretty significant parasitic loss of muzzle energy to the tune of around 25%. But nonetheless, still impressively accurate.
I have an older Gamo Shadow .177, A Swarm Magnum .177 and a Hunter Extreme pro .22. All 3 will shoot Dime size and small 5 shot groups with JSB pellets at 30 yards all day long if I do my part. The Shadow likes the 8.4's and the Swarms likes the 10.34's. The Hunter Extreme pro likes the 15.89. Those 3 shots with the 8.4 that almost all with through the same hole is what I get with JSB pellets. Those 10.34's same. I can't shoot the red fires in my magnum without getting to close to breaking the sound barrier and the groups opening up. Gonna have to try the red fires again but never got 3 pellets touching with red fires before. Would be nice to have another option I could buy locally even if they cost twice as much.
I have yet to see a Gamo in .177 cal shoots acceptable groups, I own 4 In 177 all of them shoot crappy groups with all pellets, where my Gamo 22 cal rifles shoot wonderful.
Hey Rick, I've seen a few videos of people shooting. 22 slugs out of the Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 2's with pretty good results. I haven't seen people shoot .177 slugs out of the Gamo Swarm Fusion Gen 2's. Would you please do a video of the .177 and. 22 Gamo Swarm Fusion Gen 2s shooting slugs? Thanks. Stay Safe, Be Well, God Bless.
177 is just so inaccurate sometimes,i really think 22 should be the smallest calliber. maybe the pellets are just too light to get good accuracy all of the time ...sure if you work at it they are but 22 all the way.
What this paid reviewer never mentions with his Gamo reviews is this. Gamo will NOT SELL YOU PARTS!!!! Gamo only sells parts to Federal Firearms License holders. Gamo doesn't want you to repair your rifle. No Federal Firearms License, no parts for your Gamo. I wouldn't take a Gamo rifle if you gave it to me.
Hey there Mike.. I've mentioned this fact as recently as on my last live show. Gamo doesn't sell parts.. That's not uncommon. They will warranty the gun and repair the gun out of warranty. So you are covered. If you want to be able to repair your own stuff, then don't buy a gamo.. but also don't by about 75% of the other airguns out there as well as parts are either not available in general, or you'll still be required to send them in. If I were Gamo I wouldn't sell / provide parts to end users either. The liability is simply to great. Cheers AGW
@@rickeutsler3814what about Europe? The warranty here is only 2 year's and we can only buy the placebo RRR rail, and custom seals and gas ram nothing else. No gamo service so if something breaks you are supposed to get a new one and that's really bad
Just killedb10lbs coon from 50 yards 1 to the forehead dropped it instantly swarm fusion on a maxxim stock cause the extra mag slot in handle honwstly. A better stock woth the better upper of the fusion 177 with a crossman 7.4 pointed for. Speed and skull pebetration Tru glo 4x32 mildot sighted for 10 and 40 yds

I had open heart surgery with 6 bypasses..I just celebrated my 20th anniversary..good luck on your health..I have 3 Gamo air rifles I like them also
Glad that you are doing well 🙂👍. Like the Gamo 😉👍.

Yup it shoots like a Gamo...where it wants.

Hello
Good day to you another fantastic review
Take it easy 👍
Get a longer tigger screw. You’ll take a lot of the creep out of it. Makes a huge difference. Airgun detectives sells it just an fyi

Greetings from Buenos Aires - Argentina. I have the GAMO Roadster .22. Quite similar to that of yours. Nice guns both of them. ...!

Nice Job Rick. Please get some Crosman Dome 10.5 for the rifle testing in the future. Much more accurate.

Couldn’t decide if I wanted the fusion or bone collector or the magnum so I ended up with all three
@Matt. Well that's the best decision. LOL
Lol
Haha. Sounds like something I would do, but after doing more research I love the Gamo Bone collector.
What one is your favorite? I was leaning to get the bone collector but I can’t make up my mind on one.
The bone collector is my favorite it’s mid range in power it has plenty of power for hunting but still easy to cock so you can target shoot with it. The magnum is very difficult to cock it’s no fun for target practice with. The bone collector can be used for both
In your opinion if you could pick just one air rifle what one would you pick?
Glad you are doing well. I have been following your channel for years and you are one of my favourite airgun experts.

Thanks guys nice job
If you could just pick one pellet gun what one would you pick?
Well I have a 22cal Swarm and I was really surprised at the drop off in velocity but I still really like my Gamo

Thats crazy i tried the red fires in my gen 3 and they break the sound barrier. Ive been running a 10 grain pellet to not scare the neighbors 😂
What can you share about your heart surgery? I had a 4X bypass going on 15 years now.
I do have a question: how come people don’t really use .177 for rabbit hunting?
Hey. I just got the swarm gen 3i. Did you notice as you looking through the scope, I can see the end of barrel through scope.

Why is the gun so weak and what elevation are you in?
7.8 grains for .177 caliber and 15.4 grains for 22 caliber Gamo Redfire pellets.
I have yet to see a Gamo in .177 cal shoots acceptable groups, I own 4 In 177 all of them shoot crappy groups with all pellets, where my Gamo 22 cal rifles shoot wonderful.
I prefer my .22s but my gen 2 maxxim .177 is very very precise. I can easily do 10 shot dime group at 28yrds
I have an older Big Cat 177cal. It shoots the RWS supermag 9gr very well. But it's loud.
H&N Baracuda Match 10.65g, 4.52 head size = lights out.
Hey Rick,
