    Instead of something snide, which is my usual setting, I just want to say this: The best views of the planet are the ones where you can't see any lines. Borders separate us, and as the video above shows we are all on this one earth together, and it would be really nice if some of our more volatile citizens started to consider this seriously.

    • @der2397
      @der2397 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, if we all believed the same thing - great! But we don't, so borders are absolutely necessary.

    • @der2397
      @der2397 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Sorry, but you proved my point. We all don't believe the same. There are other things besides religion that divide people - forms of government, and the capitalistic/socialistic/communistic spectrum are two possible points of contention. How about educating people with the TRUTH instead of educating people with what the elite/people in power/heck, even you think should be taught to control people or to change their views to what you want them to think. It's never going to happen and for good reason - FREE WILL.

    • @nebtheweb8885
      @nebtheweb8885 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +De R Sorry, but you have just described yourself as a paranoid conspiratard. So worried about things you cannot control that you let it affect your life to the point that you dismiss education because you think you are being manipulated. Sorry to disappoint you but the earth is NOT flat, never has been flat, and never will be flat. Take a good look at the video above. Whether you choose to believe it, or not, is NOT anyone's problem but your own. So, go ahead and make all the conspiratard excuses you want. You CANNOT prove the video is fake. EVER! You can only say that it is.

    • @der2397
      @der2397 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +NebTheWeb - you say 'paranoid conspiratard', I say WOKE. You're projecting your fear of the future onto me because of your inability to understand the true nature of our existence. It's ok Man, there is still time (at least today). We are a created being, not a being born of a tadpole millions of years ago and since evolved. Each of us is special, loved, and has a purpose to and for the One who created us. I am not A god or THE god. I would recommend anyone who believes that (hint, hint) to let go of those ideas. I know, I know, an education at NTW U. should at least get me to be A god. Darn those 6 years of higher education. So no, NTW, I am not worried about things. I pretty much understand how it will all play out (it's already written down for us) and I know who wins. On top of that, I'm on His side.

    • @SG-jv5zi
      @SG-jv5zi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Actually, people that are still researching and testing the theory of what the earth is are very intelligent and have a thirst for knowledge. You can go out and talk to them and find out that they are much more educated than the general public who blindly accept what they were"taught" without understand all of the assumptions they are making. Most of them will answer to the question of how do you know the earth is a sphere with something like...."everyone knows it" or because Nasa has pictures"... and that's where their knowledge ends...
      I know that the earth is not a sphere. But no human has ever been far enough from the earth to see it's entire shape.
      Any actual video from above the earth...100-120,000 ft (as long as they are not using a fish eye lens) shows no curvature whatsoever.
      There is no measurable or detectable curve to the earth...and there should be. The old story of a ship going out of our sight as an example of the ship actually going over the curve has been proven as a LIE. any binoculars or zoom lens or telescope will disprove this theory.
      Gravity is a made up theory that supports the heliocentric theory. On earth, which is all we know, it is not needed, we can explain everything based upon the density of objects and the density of the atmosphere/ liquid/matter that they are in. You would do the same when explaing how a helium ballon escapes the "immense gravitational force".... it is simply less dense than the atmosphere it is in....right?
      Surface water can only be observed as flat...we can use high powered zoom lenses on the horizon to measure where...according to the curvature of the earth equations...there should be a curve...and there isn't. Science confirms a flat earth.
      So the ONLY evidence that is indoctrinated into people's minds is the "images" from space of the ball earth...which NASA admits they are NOT pictures....but composite images of the earth.
      They are admitting that they do not have any real pictures from space. So my question is...why do you or anyone else continue to believe a lie??
      I have probable spent over 500x's more hours reading and thinking about this than I ever did growing up...I just accepted what was taught to me...now that I actually think about it...it's CLEAR to see what I was taught was a lie.

      +S Gons How about giving a serious look into how the Sun, Moon and planets of our solar system and all the stars seen outside of it appear to move in relationship to the Earth as seen from different locations on the Earth. You will then see that these observations would only be possible from a sphere.
      You do not have to be in space to realize that the Earth is a sphere.

    • @walnut3036

    simple question: why can't we see any other satellites?

    • @rcflight13
      @rcflight13 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because the ISS orbits at around 350km while other satellites generally orbit at around at around 20,000-35,000km.

    • @Piorze
      @Piorze 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Bladud, that's not entirely true: there are a lot of satellites in low earth orbit too. We do see them, they are just fainter because they are much smaller in size than than the ISS. With a dark sky on a random night, one can see many satellites actually crossing the sky, moving from one side to another in a few minutes. Pretty much whatever is not blinking (because those are planes) moving at a constant speed in the night sky is a satellite.

      Because it is... and you are not so proud and arrogant to admit that what you were taught your whole life, does not make any sense.
      NASA admits themselves that all their "pictures" are composite images, but apparently people do not know what that means.
      They also admit that they need to figure out how to get through the van alan radiation belts...but apparently they already did that almost 50 years ago? The contradictions are enough to drive you crazy wondering how anyone could actually believe we went and landed on the moon with a hunk of metal, wrapped in foil and curtain rods.
      The truth will come out maybe this year or the next year...

    • @emreevo8
      @emreevo8 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean, did not make that comment as a statement of my disbelief. I don't deny that we can go to space. I really wonder why it feels like CGI. There is something off about the colors, picture quality etc. It's like when you see a special effect in movie and right away know that it's CGI, and when you see a real scene, you know it's real. I admit that there are almost perfect CGI effects where you can't distinguish it from the real thing but this video feels like an animation. Especially over north Africa and Turkey around 53:00. Maybe it's because of the distance, maybe because I'm not watching in 4K. I don't know. It's still an amazing scene, though.

Good luck with catching cloud movement while traveling at 7.67 km/s, if you wan't to see cloud movements from space, check videos from weahter sattelite which are on geostationary orbit. Get 100m above ground, can you see that ant on ground?... To see sattelites first you would have to turn around cause they are way higher than ISS, and for second good luck finding black sattelite in mostly black background, but I recommend goin out during night, you can actually see sattelites, even ISS move accros sky.

Also you can use any satellite tracker app and predict when the ISS or any other satellite will pass over your area and observe it yourself. The ISS is so big and orbits so close to earth you can actually see it with your eyes, no need for a telescope.

      The problem with flat earthers is that they can not fathom how big the earth is or how big an orbit around the earth is. Also there are only 402 sattelites in geosynchronous orbit. and 2,000 total in orbit around the earth. Not 20000. How would the space station see something as small as a sattelite that is on average around 400+ km away from it (usually sattelites in geosynchronous orbit are 400 or so km apart) . There is a tandem that orbits only inches apart though so it does vary.
      Another example of not being able to fathom how big the earth is, is all the pictures wondering why the earth does not looked curved over such and such a place on earth. Like the pictures from the top of mountains wondering why they dont see a curve. Sorry but the earth is far too large for a curve to be perceptible in any meaningful way. Sure you can see ships dissapear over the horizon. That argument from flat earthers always annoys me, the ship dissapears because your eyes cant see it before it completely dissapears over the horizon thats why it can be "brought back into view" with a telescope or binoculars, even in the videos that try and prove this you can see the bottom of the hull dissapearing over the horizon already, and any ones that are further than that they can not prove. If someone shows me something that claims to prove it I will denounce it as CGI just like flat earthers denounce any proof from pretty much any source that discounts what they think as CGI.
