- I had my kitten Kola 2 months ago, today I decided to make a cat tree with driftwood for her. I've always loved doing crafts and thought it would be a good challenge for me to take. It's my first time doing wood work, so pretty happy with how things turned out. Kola, I hope you know that mommy loves you. Moew. I made this video with love, hope you enjoy it.

That looks beautiful. I just got wood pieces from the beach. But your wood pieces looked so small in the beginning. How did you stack them to make them appear large now?
As long as there are some big ones at the bottom as foundation, then it’s good. The branches on the top are smaller. Good luck with your project!

I like the way the cat tree turned out. How did you secure it so Kola doesn't knock it over?
The ground base is pretty big, and the weight is centered located, so Kola isn't able to knock it over.
What kind of plants did you use? Very pretty

I LOVE it! I am going to make a real tree cat tree, but isn't wood finish kinda toxic? I thought about putting something on my branches to make them sturdier, but I definitely don't want to poison them in the process! My cats like to scratch on real wood, though. Does yours? She is SOOO adorable BTW!😍😍😍
My cat scratches on the ropes a lot, not on the wood.

Thanks, it’s holding up pretty well, except for some decorative plants. She likes destroying it sometimes. She also uses the scratch poles a lot, highly recommend to wrap that around your tree.

Driftwood. Wood boards from home depot for the platforms. Wood bark peeling tool. Saw. Sander grinder. Wood stain. Brush. Nails & screws. Drill. Rope. Decorations. Felt pads.

I bought a wood finish in home depot. Don't remember the exact one, but it"s oil based.
One eye of kitty looks not quite right …. is it OK now ?
She had serious eye infections when we got her from shelter, now she has recovered but still have running eyes. Have to clean them everyday.
