Does anyone know if the Powertorque solenoids work. I bought them at O'Reilly Auto Parts. What concerns me is that there is no black flow restrictor at the white end. Help..
how much time did this take from start to finish to complete? what was the cost of the part itself at that time? how often does this issue occur? can it be prevented? is this part only accessible via removing the case cover an taking apart the entire wheel area? an lastly it would've been nice to know what other solenoids were in that area for future reference. Thanks in advance.
Around 8 hrs. $50 each solenoid (prices vary). The manufacturer may have a better answer. The manufacturer may have a better answer too. Yes you have to remove all that and drop the cradle at least 5 inches. See picture.
Very possible, limp mode won't go in first gear, i think it will go on 2nd or 4th, the car feels heavy no power. That will be caused by a bad solenoid.
Is there any way to get just the solenoids for the 1st gen Volt to not change the whole transmission?

Are there any springs in the shift solenoid bore. I swear I heard a spring shoot out.
Yes there was one there as part of the solenoid
Would that cause not to shift the 1st grar?

Did it fix the problem?
Yes it did.
I just replaced selenoid A on my ford fusion 2013 and it did not fixed the code same problem. What the problem could be?
@@sergiozamorano6413 Ford Fusion and Chevy Cobalt two different transmissions, yours might be a different issue.
