Thanks for tips for travel to Taiwan. I'm most impressed with the high speed trains. Imagine asking people to speak quietly to not disturb others. How civilized. Taiwan here I come!!
Yes! Come! The Taiwanese culture has been greatly influenced by Japanese culture, so lovely habits like lining up, not disturbing others and helping someone if they look lost are standard here.
I was in Taiwan in March 2024 and would recommend the Taiwan Railway intercity trains over the HSR for most purposes and cost less. The Taiwan Railway train stations are inside the cities so you end up not losing time due to finding local transportation from the HSR stations to go into town. Taipei and Kaohsiung are the only cities where the TR/HSR trains share the same station and HSR is great if you are super pressed for time between these cities.

Just a tip if it hasn't been covered, don't buy MRT tickets individually. Buy an Easy Card and load some money on it (I do it in 1000TWD increments). Then you don't have to get a ticket every time, and you can also use the card in various places like Family Mart, 7-11, etc as well as on the bus system and to rent U-Bikes to enjoy a ride around Taipei.
The public transport is good as well, we used the trains, metro and buses a lot and don’t even speak the language!!! Works well with Google maps suggestions.
welcome~ welcome everyone all over the world to visit taiwan .it's not just foods in taiwan, if u like hiking. definitely taiwan. there are 268 mountains which altitude over 3000 meters.
Extra advice : - Buy a Easycard at a MRT station so you don't have to buy MRT tokens every time and you can use it in convenience store and to take the train for exemple. Topup at MRT stations and convenience stores - If you don't go to Taipei Main Station from the airport, you can take a bus, it is cheaper and well documented on Google Maps. - At the airport, ask at the information desk to have a iTaiwan account created. It gives you a free Wifi access in MRT, public monuments and many places in Taiwan.

And the Green island & the Orchid island (Lanyu), which are off the southeast coast of Taiwan, are both famous for diving and just chill vibe there. Highly recommended for your next visit!!
According to you guys are such ruins lover, the Kinmen and the Matsu islands probably are more ideal for you. They both used be military area of importance, and have tons of abandoned but fascinating buildings all around the island!

Going to Taiwan in December for the 6th time! We had went in summer for the past 5 times for 2 months (each trip). And yes, you aren’t exaggerating, it’s HOT. Excited to go in winter!
These travel tips are great and right on point. I wish I could say that the weather you experienced was atypical, but it's really not - the summer is seriously hot all the time and always way above 30 degrees (I don't know where they get that number from sometimes, it seems like they often forecast 30 degrees but then the actual max temp is higher every time. BUT... some people love it. My mum was one of those, and says she'd never visit in the winter - go figure!
You`re welcome! I ventured to Taiwan from Canada about 5 years ago to volunteer. This time though, I`m bringing with me my boyfriend and mother to show them around the beauty of Taiwan! Leaving in less than 2 weeks so super excited!!

What a beautiful and thoughtful series of videos you created on Taiwan. Thank you for taking us along! Will look forward to your next travel destination. Would love to see you visit Antarctica.
That means a lot to hear - thank you very much! Both Marc and I would love to visit Antarctica and we actually talked about it in this video: bit.ly/2JAKyVT. It's the only continent we haven't been to and it's on our wish list!
Thank you for making this amazing video to introduce how convenient and beautiful Taiwan is. Hope more and more people from worldwide would come to visit Taiwan.
Happy you enjoyed this video! We made a whole series there if you'd like to see more of our time there: bit.ly/TaiwanPlaylist :)

Traveling to Taiwan next month - just subscribed and now to watch everything! Can’t wait for my trip 🙂
Going to Taiwan in December for the 6th time! We had went in summer for the past 5 times for 2 months (each trip). And yes, you aren’t exaggerating, it’s HOT. Excited to go in winter!
Wow, that's awesome! You've seen a lot of Taiwan! I also want to go in the winter next time though haha ;) Have fun!
If you've lived in Texas, then the weather is very similar, especially Houston in the summer time.
Ting Ting's Taiwan 婷婷的台灣 I heard from so many people that life in Taiwan is slow paced and very boring. What is your take on that?
Ting Ting's Taiwan 婷婷的台灣 if you come here in autumn or winter, it’s not always above 30 degrees
Never felt hot anywhere in Asia ever...but look where I am from...
Binge-watched your videos while researching Taiwan! Love your genuine interest in culture, your unpretentious attitude and your informative videos!

You`re welcome!
I ventured to Taiwan from Canada about 5 years ago to volunteer.
This time though, I`m bringing with me my boyfriend and mother to show them around the beauty of Taiwan! Leaving in less than 2 weeks so super excited!!
