    The ceiling lamps/chandeliers are all just amazing! And the whole blend of different design elements works very well. Beautiful. And when you stepped out basically on the beach, my jaw just dropped...

    Oh I went AAAAHHHHH when I saw the lobby! Beautiful! For some reason everything about this hotel just strikes me the right way. I love the hanging lights and archways. The chandeliers remind me of very classy Christmas ornaments. I really like the paintings of the dhows all over. Everything is so graceful and calm.
    I love the way the dhows glide through the harbor like swans. The beach is lovely. I like the busy life that is happening on the beach and in the water. What a wonderful place to turn off the world!

    My favourite shots are: the pool scenes from looking down at it to the different time taken; sunset beach walk with sails gliding along the glistening sea..fabulous music to finish off that scene. Thanks for posting!

    Your videos do more to promote the resorts and destinations than any other medium or content, including the resort's own websites in many cases. I may not be able to go to many of these places, but I want to go to almost every one you review. Like someone else said, I lost track of time watching these videos as they are so engaging. Very nice retreats from the daily grind of life.

    As you would notice from the lines above, I am Tanzanian and must say. I sincerely appreciate the videos of your travels and the style that calms you down as you enjoy these ocular delights.
    I was born here in Zanzibar and watching my Island being presented as one of the earthly paradises surrounding the Indian Ocean, is simply an action that deserves the award, or a node from the ministry of Tourism. Since they are asleep, in our own language, would like to slap them.. "Usimwamshe alie lala"..

    Very nice, but the true beauty (IMHO) of Zanzibar has got to be the East Coast. A video at Baraza would be worthwhile. Stunning hotel and has just been voted the 25th best hotel in the world (best in Zanzibar and 2nd in Africa I believe?).

    • @luxurytravelexpert
      @luxurytravelexpert  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! Park Hyatt Zanzibar is the best hotel to explore the stunning city of Stone Town, but it is not really a beach resort. I stayed at Baraza a few years ago. Loved the Omani design but was not blown away. IMHO, thé best resort in the entire Zanzibar archipelago is phenomenal &Beyond Mnemba Island Lodge (unfortunately, the rates there are insane).

    • @Xallaxa
      @Xallaxa 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. It looks stunning! I never made it to Mnemba in the 2 and a bit years I was in Zanzibar. I really wish I had taken the time to visit! Anymore Zanzibar videos to come? EDIT: Just got to the end of the video! That answered my question!

      i went in December to the little brother of Baraza, the Zawadi and it was amazing. Nothing to compare with Park Hyatt or Hideaway of Nungwi.

    • @Xallaxa
      @Xallaxa 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! Zawadi looks amazing! It wasn't built when I left Zanzibar and Baraza was under construction. There was only Breezes and Palms (all part of the same family owned group), both of which are also stunning East Coast hotels.

    I am planning a 6 night trip to Zanzibar. So far I've booked two nights at the Park Hyatt. Though I'm wondering whether it's worth spending the whole six nights in Stone Town or if it's better to seek out one of the resorts. What's your experience?

    • @luxurytravelexpert

    Excellent first drone shots! They will add such a great dimension to your reviews. I'm amazed that Park Hyatt didn't/couldn't privatize the beach in front of the property. For such a high-end resort to have that cacophony of locals, it seems to lower the value of it. Nice review. Thanks for taking me along.

    It looks great, but its neighboor Serena is better, less crowded, more traditional architecture, bigger rooms, bigger pool, etc. Hyatt just a lil more sophisticated I think, but in general if you stay in both, Serena is better, and cheaper.

    Greetings from Sweden, Thank you doctor, very nice video. I dont like the local was so close to the hotel 24 h a day, even hanging at the stairs down to the beach, The Hyatt must do the beach private only for the hotel guest. The local can go another place at the beach.

      @southpond 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I had the exact opposite feeling. It looked it would be very pleasant to sit at the pool and watch all the locals have fun on the beach. They were really enjoying themselves. This is not a secluded beach resort; it is located in the town and the beach in front of the hotel is a public beach.
