    I noticed in your video and in my trials, that tables that are imported through TableGen do not have the Z-break control available on them. Is there a work-around or patch that fixes this issue?

      I imported the excel tables as Schedules in Revit 2021. Once the schedules are placed on a sheet, the z-break control is not available. I tried again using Revit 2023 and the new Break and Place feature, but I was still unable to break the long schedules that are imported using DiRootsOne TableGen.

    Great tutorial! Are you able to use the filter tool within REVIT once you have the spreadsheet imported?

    What do you do when Revit doesn't maintain the formatting from Excel? When I bring it into Revit the row and column spacing is substantially different.

    • @8020BIM
      @8020BIM  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roger,
      So, there will be times that the excel formatting will not be maintained once the information is brought into Revit, specifically when bringing it into a Schedule View and not a Legend/Drafting View. I tend to just manually drag the Row and Column lines in revit to the desired locations if it is static and not prone to repeat updates. The problem then is on an update that broken formatting will present itself again!
      So, the best way I have found to minimise the impact of hte formatting issue is to ensure that the Model Schedule View Template and the Excel uses the Same Text styles and Sizes. Alot of hte formatting that breaks seems to be in cells with a significant amount of text that uses text wrapping - so if you have your text style and size mathcing that of the Revit Schedule presentation that seems to remove many of the alignment issues for the Rows and Columns.
      Hope this helps - drop me a message here or over on the discord community (better for a quick response) to let me know if it did the trick!

      Hey Andres. Have you checked that you Region in Excel is selecting every cell you need? I have never experienced such an issue so have a tendency to think this might be an excel side issue and not Revit Side.

    DiRoots worked great until we went to revit 2023 they don't support that version yet, waiting months now for them to release an update at this rate revit 2024 will be out before they do
