For some reason when i tell the Data.importExcel node to read as a string, it adds three decimals to the element ID and room number and sort of breaks the whole script. I have been trying to work around it, any advise?
Update: Nvm, i started over and it worked perfectly, thank you!

thanks for that useful video, I followed the steps of importing an excel sheet but it still gives me an error in dynamo 1.3. what might be the problem?

Element ID is unreliable though, as they get changed when you synchronise a project

Instead use the Element.UniqueID Node. The node outputs the unique ID directly as string.
