Small tip: If you previously owned any dyson product and you register it through their website .. dyson offers ‘owners reward’ which gives you 20% discount.
I recently purchased the v11 animal for 599 total $649 after tax at Target not knowing the new v11 outsize came out. I returned the v11 animal and spoke to dyson CS and offered me the outsize for $532.16 after tax. And they also gave me an extra deep clean kit for free and offered a pretty good discount for one of their new air purifiers.

@@dorothydarling413 Just tried and it was a no-go for me. I got the Owner Reward postcard in the mail for the 20% off but it says on the back that it doesn't apply to the V11 Outdrive. I still called their customer support anyway just to see what they may be able to offer and the rep told me this model doesn't qualify for the discount. I have (2) V8 Animals, (1) V7 Animal Pro, (1) Dyson Ball Animal 2 and the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. Needless to say, I drank the Dyson Kool-aid. But, I vacuum every day and was tired of the battery running out on the V8 so was going to upgrade to the V11 Outdrive, only if I could get the discount. Since they said no, I ordered the LG CordZero Kompressor instead (was already considering it as option B) which seems to be really comparable, has great reviews and currently is $200 cheaper ($599 normally $699) than the Dyson if purchased at Best Buy. Oh well, guess they missed out on that purchase, not that they're hurting for my money anyway.

I guess in the US, We got the short end of the stick. The display of the animal in the UK is the display of the absolute. The animal here has a more simple display. Furthermore, the absolute here does not come with the soft roller, there is no soft roller for any model here is the US. It does not hurt that the owner of Dyson is English, but Apple for instance does not do that , to the world. It is a great product, but I don’t like when companies undermine the costumers and America is their number one buyer in the world.

    • @ModernCastle

    • @ModernCastle

      Indeed.
It seems to me that Dyson thinks their new multi-surface High Torque XL brushrolls are a full replacement (their design is certainly an improvement over the heads from older V-series vacuums). With such a good brushroll on multi-surface they may be trying to keep the price lower by excluding that head.
But...that's just a guess. In any case, I do still really like the soft roller head.

I think it depends on where it is sold. In Asia, Dyson has a Floffy head model and a Floffy + Torque head model but I do see most stores carry only the Floffy head model. Due to the high humidity and temperature most Asia families will not have carpet flooring at all but concrete, ceramic or laminate flooring since it retain more heat, dust and humidity. Most of the household will have a few patches of carpet/plastic matts at the entrance of doors throughout the house only. Even with a Floffy head model I found it frustrating using it when it comes to a few patches of carpet or plastic floor matts I have to deal with when I live in Asia and ends up just thronging the carpet matts into the washing machine while I vacuum the ceramic flooring throughout the house in which it does an excellent job . In North American, it is pretty well a standard that a house or condo/apartment will come standard with carpet flooring with option to upgrade to ceramic or hardwood flooring. Having a long hair german shepherd I do find the Floffy head on V11 does a better job cleaning the hair and outdoor dust ;however, it drives me mad when it comes to cleaning the Floffy head itself. It tangles a lot of hair around the spinning and the small drive wheels and requires a lot of time to clean them off and very little time to get clogged up again. These days I ended up using the Torque drive only since it is easier to do the maintenance on it. I am interested in the oversize bin and the head since I usually have to empty the bin few times in the garage when I vacuuming so it will be more convenience while it should also cut down the vacuuming time due to the full size Torque head (not sure I needed the extra battery and charging adapter but since Dyson package it with the wand accessory clip I have very little choice on that matter). I hope Dyson will develop a tangle free heads for both the full size Torque and Floffy heads in the future.
