    16:57 if you want to use the generated halftone as a mask, you can select all, copy it, deselect, make a new layer bucket filled with whatever color you like, create mask, hold alt and click on the mask preview, paste it, and alt click again on the mask preview

    Can you make a tutorial on how to make this line art? I am trying to draw nice eyes but I am not even close to half your level.
    Thanks

    Hi, I really loved your tutorial! Thank you so much! I was wondering if there was a way to make the dot size, when drawing with the pattern, respondent to pen pressure? So instead of the dots being cut up at the edges of a stroke, they just got smaller instead (like the halftone gradient effect) - is this possible at all?
    Thank you again!

      Thanks for the comment - I'm pretty sure that most halftone or screentone brushes allow you to control dot size with pen pressure. I'd look at a couple of the Kyle T Webster ones or maybe also True Grit Texture Supply?

    Any chance you can do a vid on how you ink your sketches to get to the starting point of this vid?

    • @JeremyLord5000
      @JeremyLord5000  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, I can do that :) So just the sketch there already and just the inks yeah?

      @@JeremyLord5000 I'm really keen on seeing how you create the line work, whether it's custom brushes, the Pen tool, using the Width Tool for line variation, all three or something else. Your approach to colouring areas would be interesting too but the main thing for me is the main linework. I've got an image of the sort of linework I'd like to create so looking to find as many approaches as possible to see which will help the most.

    how can I make the halftone to be a gradient

    • @JeremyLord5000
      @JeremyLord5000  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a separate feature in Illustrator. If you create a gradient in a shape then go to effect > pixelate > color halftone you'll get a gradient halftone :)
