You take an old piece from the garbage or from someone else you restore its life and you bring out the life it had before it and you make that life means something when you restore it. Because like people furniture also has life and is damaged by life and how it’s treated. Somehow I think there is a natural appreciation for all the work you do on the furniture, you pleat and repair and restore. I admire the effort and care you put into restoring each piece of furniture Jay. Many people, would look at that Cardenas and say it is impossible. It is lovely now and can feel happy sitting in your living room with photos or ornaments and living in a calm place until the cats move in.
Other restorers like to disassemble everything and then use new wood and all kids of power tools. I'impressed that you honor the original crafts and people who made this item.
