Something neat about this guy is that his super armor is seemingly meant to resemble Prima’s head and sword from the movie, which makes me wonder if this was based on some early concept art or something
I wouldn't normally go for toy-focused Transformers toys like this, but this actually looks utterly fantastic and I am genuinely considering getting it. I would've absolutely loved this as a kid!
As a fan of big, dumb gimmick figures, this was probably the top figure on my radar when the line was announced (though I've loved most of the mainline in general; the Prime Changers are great). Finally arriving in Japan, where I live, this weekend, and I'm excited to get this goofy guy in hand. Glad to see more prominent TH-camrs giving this kind of figure the time of day and treating it sincerely! Far too many adult fans only seem willing to engage with the brand as some sort of austere adult collector affair-which it's long had as a niche, but certainly has never been historically.
This figure is hilarious with the sounds going off all the time but it also looks incredible. Love the helmet design and the winged chest piece, it reminds me of G1 Thunder Clash’s chest sticker. The light up Matrix effect is awesome.
Nice video! The helmet is actually based on the movie's design of Prima, same as his sword being based on the Star Saber, which I thought was a really nice touch
thank u so much for this detailed video !! i just got this as a gift and the arms are SO STIFF i was worried if i used too much force to pull them down for vehicle mode it would break so i went hunting on youtube for answers !! BUT HOORAY I HAD NOTHING TO WORRY ITS JUST AS U SHOW 🤣👌 was giggling with u the whole video its such a fun toy hahahaha
This one is actually really brave like. And also the sword is actually Prima's sword in the movie which is awesome! You can find the concept art of Prima somewhere and the sword can be seen.
I've just seen transformers one with my nephew and I liked it and after seeing this Optimus prime toy I might pick one up but in my head cannon he'll belong to the brave yuusha world or the Korean transforming robots world.
That's exactly what Orion Pax says in the movie, I love that this toy says the line here as well. It's also a sign of his steady transition into the leader that we all know & love: Optimus Prime.
@@wayneshobbygallery I had this notion that Hasbro won't use "Transform" (and other variations, not synonyms) due to their copyright rules. I want to hear that and experience the movie in cinemas when I have the time and money to.
Major "mom said it's my turn on the xbox" vibes from the orion pax mode. also, interesting that they have him say "cog of conversion" but "transform and roll out" is allowed to stay. I'm sure there's some logic to it that's only understandable to a lawyer.
Sorry My toy got it's sfx stuck in the truck mode, even when transformed in the other modes, it stills making the truck sounds Any help? Besides that, good video mate!
Having seen the movie it is actually quite decent even when I cannot hate the voice acting. Sorry but I find it to be poor and it really hurts the movie imho. Still one of the key moments in that movie is the transformation of Orion Pax into Optimus Prime and this figure reprisents that superbly. I have the Studio Series one and I hate it. Colors are drab and especially the beige (I loathe beige) hurt the figure. Why beige? Then the waist piece is too loose and then that stupid bumper. Even though this is a simpler figure I am already liking it more. In fact I just ordered it (at a discount, 30 instead of 50 Euro) partly because of your review.
If you're talking about the one inside his Prime Power Armor, yes. He already showed that in the video. For that clear blue Matrix-like piece, that's actually the Transformation Cog (Cog of Conversion as the toy describes), which also plays a very pivotal role in the movie.
Sixo uploading regularly is something I never expected in my lifetime but here we are
Trying my best!
Absolutely bliss it is 😌
When you give Sixo a lot, the man will play.
Something neat about this guy is that his super armor is seemingly meant to resemble Prima’s head and sword from the movie, which makes me wonder if this was based on some early concept art or something

this is such a cool toy and now i kinda want one

Haha nice
"Toy-focused toy"
Human music... I like it
It is pretty melodious
That was my thought, before it started hurting my brain haha
Oh gosh, the noises before you've even managed to finish getting him out of the box! 🤣
Haha I know, I couldn't stop laughing at it
If this figure had knee movement, I would really get it. Yet is a pretty cool figure for kids.
Yeah it's a shame it doesn't but still pretty cool as you say

Sixo’s going for the full TFOne Optimus gauntlet lol
Trying
Kids everywhere will be chucking this across the room doing that flip 😂🤣
the blue chest plate gives him an Omega Prime kind of feel, that's pretty neat

@@tenshigrace my pleasure and thank you!
This seems awesome.
The truck reminds me of the animated Optimus and his cybertronian mode
Huh, I can see it
His Ultimate mode reminds me of Energon Prime, especially the Helmet.

Yep you can find it on the TF:One cards
Now you mention it, yes!

Mom said its my turn on the Xbox!
lol
I believe the sword is based on Prima's sword from his official character model
Since you have it in-hand, is there anything to suggest that the connection points for the electronics are fragile?
I've just seen transformers one with my nephew and I liked it and after seeing this Optimus prime toy I might pick one up but in my head cannon he'll belong to the brave yuusha world or the Korean transforming robots world.
"I feel whole" 🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😂
The sword is Prima Prime’s. It’s depicted in Prima’s official art. Hence it can be inferred to be the Star Saber.
Seems so!
The matrix fits really well on hotrod's hands
Wow good for a kids toy!
When its on orion pax mode, when you open the chest piece, you can see the chest from his cogless form
True!
Wait, the "Transform and roll out" line is back! What does this imply?

love the t-rex forearms
The what? :D
I had the studio series one, but sadly I lost one of those pipes on the shoulders
I believe the legs have three segments, the regular primes segment is a lil harder to feel but it is a thing
