Dang - the speed of the higher end cutters is amazing. I actually wasn’t surprised by the Joy since it’s so new. I find the Maker cuts a bit faster than the Explore Air 2, but not really enough to matter.

Excellent demo! I just bought a Cameo4 and I do have a Cricut Explore air. You're right, the key is to start making and selling with what you already have. What settings do you cut that Rhinestone flock with in the Cameo? I bought my Cameo4 to do rhinestone designs, but I'm still a newbie with that machine. Just got it last week.

I am currently in a search for a vinyl cutter and sadly the graphtec is out of my budget (I want to start with something cheaper so to see if I can find customers for it. I am currently looking at the Cameo 4 Pro and the GCC Expert II 24 LX - which one in your opinion is a better choice for a starter business with a low budget? I am going to be doing mostly stickers and using the cutting mat to cut badge designs etc (so will need the "optical eye). Really appreciate the time if you help me solve this dilemma. Between those, we carry both but we lean towards the Silhouette for the customer service and the ease of use. :) Both machines have a wider cutting area and you can print on your printer, create registration marks and cut with either vinyl cutter. My roland gx-24 recently stopped working. I got a cricut maker to hold me over until I can find a service for my machina as it's out of warranty. The cricut is way too slow but its versatility, blades, and software are way better than what roland offers.

This will have to be done in the software! If you're using Design Space, your best bet is designing in a secondary software or purchasing from a company that supports and works with Cricut Design Space! We have a ton of Cricut friendly designs on our website. 💕 - TRW Haley

Honestly I would get the Silhouette 100 times out of 100. I use the 3 and the 4. The sound is tolerable but the machine performance (in my opinion) is tops for a very affordable machine. Not only do I prefer the actual cutter, but the company doesn't have machine exclusive materials like Cricut likes to put out. The Silhouette is very friendly and uses all materials, not just their brand, like Cricut is known for. And the final massive selling point for me personally, is the software is leaps and bounds superior to Cricuts Design Space. The Designer Edition is free, but if you have a business or would like to have additional options available to create with, then there's the Business Edition software for Silhouette. -TRW Crystal

We have found Cricut in general to be a bit slower than other cutters. That isn't always a bad thing though, it just depends on your needs! - TRW Haley

@@TheRhinestoneWorld Would you still get the Silhouette over the Cricut due to its speed, or is the loudness too annoying to care how slow the Cricut is?
Honestly I would get the Silhouette 100 times out of 100. I use the 3 and the 4. The sound is tolerable but the machine performance (in my opinion) is tops for a very affordable machine. Not only do I prefer the actual cutter, but the company doesn't have machine exclusive materials like Cricut likes to put out. The Silhouette is very friendly and uses all materials, not just their brand, like Cricut is known for. And the final massive selling point for me personally, is the software is leaps and bounds superior to Cricuts Design Space. The Designer Edition is free, but if you have a business or would like to have additional options available to create with, then there's the Business Edition software for Silhouette. -TRW Crystal

I figured the Joy would be quicker because it's newer tech.
We have found Cricut in general to be a bit slower than other cutters. That isn't always a bad thing though, it just depends on your needs!
