@spentcasing3990 yesterday cause of the heat here in my country, for the first time while I was gaming, it went above 80° and my pc restarted like 2-3 times and I got worried, so I thought about maybe it was time to upgrade my cooler. I have ryzen 9 7950x3D btw
I have an ak400 and as500 plus and both are performing well and look great too. I have a preference for single tower coolers for full ram clearance. Assassin Spirit evo, freezer 36 are great too. Fuma 3 is favourite dual tower cooler as it’s offset to allow access to ram without having to remove or raise the front fan
I always put the front fan on the rear fin stack for RGB RAM clearance using Thermalright twin towers. It looks great with the RGB RAM reflecting off the fins and performs great compared to the higher end coolers. If Thermalright keeps up this incredible level of value, performance, and variety, the bigger name brands will have no choice but to lower prices.
@@Elvyne Get the Phantom Spirit SE if you can, the reviews on are spectacular. Check out Hardware Canucks reviews, they are very comprehensive in testing. They called the PS the best air cooler they ever tested. As I write this my 5600X3D is at 28c and it drops to 26c idle, its almost at room ambient. This is with the front fan moved to the rear so my RAM RGB is totally clear and obviously the performance is not impacted. In fact it's about 2c better on the rear. PA is almost as good per HC test only1-3c difference with no impact on CPU performance, a solid alternative. Good luck
Between arctic 36 for 50 euro and deepcool ak500s for 59 euro and deepcool ak620 digital for 82 euro and thermalright peerless assassin mini for 59 witch one is ideal for ryzen 7800x3d
How do I know that the cooler won't collide with the RAM? I want to buy an "MSI B550A pro" with the "be quiet! Pure rock 2" and I don't know if it will be compatible with the RAM. Thanks !
My Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120s keep my 5900X at 28c and 5800X3D at 36c. They are excellent. So excellent that I replaced my two Noctua NH-U9S for them. Those Noctua's were twice as expensive and less efficient.
What’s the expected temp with the ryzen 5700x with Thermalright ps 120 cooler? Assuming that i will use PBO for higher boost, with a quite high airflow case too?
It's more than enough. I was able to keep my R5 7600X cool with Assassin X 90 SE(this is a low end cooler, and yours is high end in terms of performance) after my BeQuiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 240mm AIO pump died twice. Avoid this AIO if you ever think about buying it. First pump died after 7 days, and replacement unit's pump died after 19 days. Proves to me that BQ makes crappy AIOs. Reviews say the same, same issue.
Hi, pretty loved your video it was the best one that cover all of the ranges(budget, mid range etc...) what TDP the Thermalright Assassin X 120 V2 can get to? i have i7-7700(Of course if you recommend something else I would love to hear but I also want to know how much this one TDP does)
From your original video on the Freezer 36, I got it when I upgraded my CPU to the 5700X3D. It's a great quiet cooler that really keeps the CPU frosty. I don't think I broke 63C in temps and that was during benchmarking. During gaming, temps stay between 48-51C.
Stumbled across you channel and I must say. Super helpful for a brand new pc gamer like myself! I have a ryzen 7 5800X3D on the way. I currently have the crappy amd cooler and looking for something better.. Definitely can't afford the high end out of the list lol. Which one do you think would compliment my new CPU the best out of the low and mid list?
When I performed the Freezer 36 testing, I ran it with my 5800X3D and it handled it just fine. If you can swing it, I’d opt for one of the mid range options with a dual tower heat sink. Any of them would do you well

Yes the A620 will work well with the 7600x. The GPU is your choice. The 7700 XT is newer but I think the 6800 will have better performance and also gives you more VRAM
For air coolers? The Assassin IV would be my GO-TO. I know they are no longer available on Amazon but you can still get them brand new on EBay. Mine cools the 7800X3D easily
I can confirm that the Corsair Vengance DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM will work with the PS120SE without having to adjust the fan position. The g.skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5-6000 CL30 will require adjusting the fan position up a bit because of those stupid little plastic fins they like to put on top of the RAM, maybe half an inch to an inch tops?

Love this video, and just in time for me as I'm in the market for a new computer! I kind of disliked how a lot of people go for the same ol' noctua coolers every time and wanted to know what else was out there. This DeepCool brand seems to fit what I want - and I love the Assassin 4S in how it's not as wide as 2-fan designs or thicker 1-fan designs, despite being 2-tower It'd be cool to see a side-by-side size comparison/clearance comparison of some of the popular choices like that, since some of these things get REALLY bulky!
@@DannysTechChannel Here's another weird thing I ran across.. I was looking at the DeepCool brand and saw their CH780 Case. There is some really unusual discrepancies with it, though - There are hardly any reviews, and they seem to all be using an older version of the case with an uglier front panel seam/beam. There are some other discrepancies with it when searching that have left me very confused, like the official page showing more fans than it has in the Specifications tab.
