I personally prefer a duration-build Ivara, subsumed with Rest & Rage, as her Dashwire allows you to reach high-placed ore veins, and fish across open waters with a horizontal Dashwire, making her a fantastic choice as an all-in-one frame for Fishing, Mining, and Conservation.
Same, but I'm assuming he's picked Loki because you can move normally while stealthed, ie sprint and bullet jump, and you don't really need to be perma-stealth when roaming? IDK
I kinda wish you could change the highlight color when spotting animals w/ the Tranq, I personally have a pretty hard time spotting that peachy-orange colour.
When you turn on Ally highlight, Given you can customise the highlight color whenever you want, why not take just a few seconds and make it like, Neon Green while hunting and revert later? You can enter the pause menu anywhere, and thats enough to get to settings such as these.

When I first began the game and learned you could save animals AND get plushies I was hooked! I did nothing but conservation for like half a year straight lol so I'm happy I have something else to trade tags for I personally like to play Ivara with tons of duration, added armor and shield shards for a bit of survivability out there, plus parkour velocity so that I can just roll around better and stay invisible Since she does pop out of invis when calling I actually like to put down a cloak arrow before I do so I can stay undetected!
I personally love the conservation mini game, a lot of people say that it goes against the fast paced gameplay of Warframe, but for me is a good moment to disconnect, appreciating the chill music of the open worlds and the art style.
I love the conservation mini game... I just hate Deimos. Especially when trying to get mining resources. Oh boy I sure do love the bloated pools of only two mining nodes well getting harassed every two mili seconds by a venomous. Or trying to catch animals just for the the questionably Falic Jugulus to blast it out of existence. Or the fact all the tokens for the family give you the same amount of rep besides Son and Grandma tokens thus making the others pointless outside of grind dilution via rank ups. Oh boy I sure do love Deimos! *Gets head latched by the flying tentacle mass*
I agree that it goes against the usual pace of gameplay but that’s why I like it. Sometimes you wanna just forget about fighting the eldritch horrors of the galaxy and relax in the open world and enjoy the casual peace of it all. When I get to caught up in the grind I’ll just drop what I’m doing and just start perusing for the wildlife. It’s relaxing to just watch the animals being animals sometimes lol.
For anyone trying to get uncommon (Tier 2) Conservations, it's bugged at the moment that doing trails with/out pheromone respectively is 95% for tier 3 and a 5% tier one and 100% for tier 1, my advice is turning on accessibility color to something easy to spot for ally highlights and flying around a flat location to find tier 2 in the wild Edit: The Stover trails are kinda weird in Orb Vallis as there might only be 1 accesible on the ground or none at all and you just have to leave and reload the map and hope to get a usable one for a tier 1 or 3 Stover Edit #2: They fixed this in hotfix #2

Idk if I'd consider myself to be "in luck" that these mods aren't behind rep grinding as I've been hunting for the Valis Kubrodon and the Swimmer Horaxwhatever for an hour or two. Ironically, the uncommon animals are the rarest thanks to pheromones. After 35 Dapper Horaxwhatevers, I finally found one Swimmer. It wasn't through echo lures either, it was through a random spawn in the middle of a Corpus base lmao If they locked it behind rep, I'd say it would've been way quicker. There's a reason why the Corpus open world pet mods are selling at quite the premium right now.
this is because there is currently a bug that makes uncommon animals not spawn through echo lures, it's on the known issues page in the forums so hopefully will be fixed soon

No it's not just roaming the orb valis, i can focus on other animal also, no not lure and pheromones also, i can farm swimwe horasque, alpine sawgaw, and fuming stover easily.
I did everything there is to conservation around the time TheKengineer started uploading warframe videos but am still here for the new video. Ps. I still do conservation for easy standings and for the fun of it
Awesome video! I didn't think to use ally highlighting, great tip! Personally, I always use ivara sleep arrows. With enough duration, always seemed to work on the bigger animals. Except velocipods, they refuse to be collected when put to sleep by the arrows, and if I try to use the tranq rifle after putting them to sleep they tend to fall through the map.
I remember when the Helminth system was first introduced (August 2020), and I had scrapped my Equinox mere months ago. Finding out Rest & Rage was the subsume ability crushed my soul a bit. It was only until early 2024 that I refarmed Equinox to make a Rest & Rage Loki. Admittedly, was pretty well worth the slog for me, conservation couldn’t be any more easier now. I sincerely envy those who started/are starting Warframe post-Helminth system.
im so happy that my favorite past time away from Abitrations and relic farming is this Wildlife preservation minigame. I got all those mods right off the bat
They fixed the bug with new mods not granting 2x tags, ores and fish in the latest hotfix! Honestly, the new mod is awesome for open world resource farming. I always brought Smeeta with me, but I got the 2x drop buff so rarely that even standing around and waiting for it to proc was useless - now I'll definitely get much more resources overall
I love roaming around as Ivara and saving animals for reputation, and now there's an additional reward! Also the VA giving you some flavor for each animal is fun too. Unfortunately conservation doesn't give you Credits or Endo, which i am always in dire need of....

EDIT: This bug has been Patched. Rare (Tier 2) rarity animals are currently bugged to spawn at extremely low rates when using lures, especially if you use Pheromones which results in almost guaranteed odds you ONLY get common or Very Rare. You are best off hunting for Rare (Tier 2) animals wandering in the wild.
Disclaimer the fix pheromones but bug out the wandering on some animals i can find 30+ stover and all sentinel (not luring) before i can get at least 10% rate get the fuming
Common Condroc is the the best animal to farm for Cetus Standing 800 on the base version, for Fortuna Standing I recommend Kengineers's ore mining video as turning those in generates a lot of Standing for Fortuna Specifically, on Deimos it's more of in the air I prefer just the plain bounties but there's a lot there you can do for Standing hunting is still preferred as the Grandmother likes the Son's tokens over any other.
We were doing conservation yesterday for the new mods, and my buddy made me notice that when he was the one interacting with the tranq'd animal I was only getting half the amount of tags, and viceversa. So only the person interacting with the animal gets the full amount of tags, and the rest of players in range will only receive half the amount. Hope that info helps clearing any confusion that may raise when hunting in squad!
And if you both have double booster when your friend capture it, it says 3 you actually get 6 just UI bug. Me and my friends farming tags for couple hours and have good understanding of it
Neglects to mention that your score (Perfect/Good/Poor) is based on how well you land your Tranq Rifle shots (headshot only for perfect, body shots reduce score), and that sleep abilities are an automatic perfect, which increase at least your reputation score (and maybe tag quantity; I forget.)
I will make the note that the middle tier spawns not working on the Orb Vallis has been going since at least late 2022, probably longer I only noticed then because that was when I started my plushie collection
Ivara is by far the best warframe to use, Loki suffer from his low duration even with mods. Ivara can guide the tranq rifle for flying target, securing them easily. Ground target can be put to sleep with her quiver or subsumed rest and rage.
The conservation mini games are a massive plus as somone whk despises games that use creatures as cannon fodder or an antagonistic figure, ahem, Garbage Hunter e.g? The fact that I can get those lovely birds to safety while violating every law of engagement against the piss ants destroying that environment is brilliant.
Recently, I have been doing animal conservation using Titania and by subsuming Equinox's Rest and Rage ability with lots of range, some efficiency and duration and the augment for her 4th ability. I have a tau yellow archon shard for energy on spawn. Using that setup, I am able to easily speed up and zoop around and get the animals.

Sure, a Koumei breakdown would be nice, but I assume that's a but linger to make and he wants to put out _something_.
7:56 I've never been able to use a hotkey to get out of archwing. I just get "invalid launch point", as if trying to summon the archwing instead of exiting it. And it looks like you always use melee in the video?
Yes, I exit Archwing using quick melee (look slightly up to not slam onto animals!) If no melee is equipped, you'll still exit archwing without doing anything else on melee input.
I was hunting Condors in Cetus yesterday and the Rogue version is so annoying to hit since it moves around so much and it isnt even the rarest Condor but thats why i ended up with tons of Emperor tags and 0 Rogue ones.
Any tips for getting the uncommon species? No pheromones is an easy common animal, and with pheromones is almost always a rare one Biggest question is are uncommons more likely with or without using pheromones?
Current indications are the tracking is bugged, making uncommons hideously rare. Find them with wild roaming instead, listening for the call of the animal species you're interested in and seeing which variant has spawned.

Shame Stover conservation is still bugged after 6 years. No track start point spawn half the time, and even if they do you gotta hope they'll spawn the tracks once you find them. I've never had the luck to have tracks. Ever.
Volocipods are probably the worst creature to hunt. Maybe there's a trick i don't onkw, but far as I know, they don't have a lure and spawn extremely rarely. Only ever seen 1 purple one.

@@Valdyr_Hrafn use it when its vome, you always get sporule when vome time, when you use pheromones, I've farm it all the time with crescent vulpa. Some deimos animal variation only spawn at vome time and vice versa
Why Loki instead of Ivara? Although l the channeled invis is annoying, invis breaking down at the wrong time is equally annoying. Also, I wish I had subsumed equinox, but I never finished the farm. Too many pieces 😢 and if it doesn't work on the big animals, that seems a lot less worth it..
Loki's invisibility is only broken by running out, amking him more mobile during stealth. If you find the timer too short even with duration modding then sure, use Ivara.
@TheKengineer I've been using Loki because he's the first of the two I got and invested in, but I was surprised to see you recommend him. His mobility is indeed quite an advantage! If only shade would pick up the slack and properly hide us before anyone notices when it breaks at the wrong time...

Scanning them for the codex should turn them a vibrant green

Over 3k hours in warframe, and I didn't know about the sleep option for doing captures. My mind is completely blown. This is why I follow you, Ken.

Stovers spawn more in caves matching how they are often in caves when using lures.
Yeah that's what I meant, Stover trails are bugged that they are under the floor in some spots and you might get 1 usable one sometimes

One good invisibility frame is wisp, u can stay invisibe indefinitely if u just keep hopping
Note that it can sometimes take a minute or two before something responds to the echo lure.

Jump first then archwing it doesn't launch cuz terrain is uneven... I think but yeah that works for me

Honestly using Gloom has been better for me than going Ivis.
Gloom slows down the movement of the animals making them easier to target.

I was hunting Condors in Cetus yesterday and the Rogue version is so annoying to hit since it moves around so much and it isnt even the rarest Condor but thats why i ended up with tons of Emperor tags and 0 Rogue ones.
Any tips for getting the uncommon species? No pheromones is an easy common animal, and with pheromones is almost always a rare one
Biggest question is are uncommons more likely with or without using pheromones?
Current indications are the tracking is bugged, making uncommons hideously rare. Find them with wild roaming instead, listening for the call of the animal species you're interested in and seeing which variant has spawned.

Shame Stover conservation is still bugged after 6 years. No track start point spawn half the time, and even if they do you gotta hope they'll spawn the tracks once you find them. I've never had the luck to have tracks. Ever.
Conservation tags are MUCH worse then standing! There are multiple sources for standing but only one other then platinum for tags.

Volocipods are probably the worst creature to hunt. Maybe there's a trick i don't onkw, but far as I know, they don't have a lure and spawn extremely rarely.

Sporule avichea are the worst. I've farmed them hard core and only ever spotted them twice

@@Valdyr_Hrafn use it when its vome, you always get sporule when vome time, when you use pheromones, I've farm it all the time with crescent vulpa. Some deimos animal variation only spawn at vome time and vice versa

Why Loki instead of Ivara? Although l the channeled invis is annoying, invis breaking down at the wrong time is equally annoying.
Also, I wish I had subsumed equinox, but I never finished the farm. Too many pieces 😢 and if it doesn't work on the big animals, that seems a lot less worth it..
Loki's invisibility is only broken by running out, amking him more mobile during stealth. If you find the timer too short even with duration modding then sure, use Ivara.
@TheKengineer I've been using Loki because he's the first of the two I got and invested in, but I was surprised to see you recommend him. His mobility is indeed quite an advantage! If only shade would pick up the slack and properly hide us before anyone notices when it breaks at the wrong time...
