I feel like those 13 life lands might actually be a decent budget option. Quite often I've been in a situation where Im lacking that 1 mana to cast the spell that will save me, but then I pull one of those lands that enter tapped and then I lose 😅. At least this one would be untapped when you need it the most. Of course if you have the luxury of using the better dual lands then you don't need these.
Yeah, for sure, the difference between a land that enters tapped and one that doesn't is major, in terms of speed and playability. I think these are such a great option, especially at Common, and I think for limited play they are a great addition to a deck! Thanks for checking out the video and taking that extra time to leave a comment, we appreciate it!
I'm a huge horror fan, so I'm really looking forward to this set, tbh. I'll agree that some of the themes run a bit tacky (Sincerely hate having 'saw' and 'baseball bat' as magic cards - but there's enough to make me happy. I've always wanted a doll/toy deck, and while the color theme for some of them is a bit weird, this'll finally be an option. Also really dig the rooms mechanic (One correction, respectively - you can cast either side of the room on casting; it doesn't have to be the left). Just can't figure a decent commander out of what's been spoiled yet for this theme. 🤔 Huge fan of this channel - stay amazing!
@@envies_ephemeres We always genuinely love when people are excited for new sets! I think we agree with you on the theme of horror, which also has some great links back to the early Magic days, I just wish it was more Victorian horror than 70/80’s themed. Good to know, we actually thought the rooms mechanic was sequential, but I think that mechanic feels incredibly flavorful for the set and the whole theme of an evil entity taking our and manipulating the house is really cool. Thank you for your kind words, it was really needed today and you absolutely made our day, truly thank you! ❤️
@@CardboardGuide Glad to hear it - don't ever be discouraged, you offer a truly genuine vibe to the community that is SUCH a breath of fresh air compared to so much negativity as of late. Happy to support you in any way, and hope to see a lot more content from you in the future. Thanks again, and stay amazing! 🙂
@@envies_ephemeres Thank you, we try to give information and hopefully in an interesting or entertaining way. ❤️ The kind comments is a massive support and we really appreciate it! 🙌🏻
@@CardboardGuide I'm a big horror fan too but I must agree it would have been better as Victorian horror rather than this more modern look. In fact, Magic has been moving towards more modern themes for a while now which is kind of breaking the immersion for me and killing Magics own identity. Theres just something weird about seeing a random modern world guy sipping coffee in the art or something along those lines (looking at your Doctor Who) 😅. All that being said, I do like this set and will likely buy some singles and maybe even build some kind of horror themed deck.
Not Dual lands ... just possibly tap for 2 mana ... 😮💨. Sorry , but it just is getting harder and harder to keep "positive" about the directions, actions and plans of WOTC / HASBRO with Magic the Gathering .... May your week be blessed with sun and happyness. 🤘🦁🦁
Thank for checking out the video! I think there legitimately are some really great cards, but I still a bit stuck on the art direction for the set. We are at a weird space where we play Magic, but don’t engage a ton with sealed product ourselves, only for the few sets we really enjoy.
