When I put the 4 litres of water in to flush out the dust usually only 3.5 comes out straight up. When I pour my spirit in the remaining water will be pushed out by the pressure of the 8 litres of spirit. It restarts within a minute usually and when the remaining.5 litre comes out within 5 minutes I then start collecting the spirit. It usually only dilutes by 1-2%. Great video 👍

i dont have this model, but i leave it a few days to dry out before using it after a flush.

It becomes less effective at higher percentage. 40-50% abv is about high you want to go to get the best results. This also ensures the water used to dilute it gets filtered too

​@@joes2wheeledadventures692 i use a 6 filter osmosis water filter for my water. i never have noticed a difference watering down to 50% to putting it in straight from the still.
that being said i used the first model zfilter for 22 years until it broke 30min ago :(
