When I put the 4 litres of water in to flush out the dust usually only 3.5 comes out straight up. When I pour my spirit in the remaining water will be pushed out by the pressure of the 8 litres of spirit. It restarts within a minute usually and when the remaining.5 litre comes out within 5 minutes I then start collecting the spirit. It usually only dilutes by 1-2%. Great video 👍
My wife got it for me for Christmas, I put some through it and love it it’s much easier and quicker than the system of putting carbon in bottles, it worked really well, I am going to change the yeast I use also, in an attempt to remove some of those smells. I’m with you on the door screw knob fail we have the same problem at our house, but I have mounted the other bracket so it’s not really a problem for me at least. I have now made gin from the spirit and am happy with the results. Be well Brent
It becomes less effective at higher percentage. 40-50% abv is about high you want to go to get the best results. This also ensures the water used to dilute it gets filtered too
@@joes2wheeledadventures692 i use a 6 filter osmosis water filter for my water. i never have noticed a difference watering down to 50% to putting it in straight from the still. that being said i used the first model zfilter for 22 years until it broke 30min ago :(
Comes in a box you say?
Best line ever!

So this will turn my cheap booze into nice booze?! Sounds like a good investment 🍻
Um 🤔 😅 I don't know that I can speak to that 😂🤣🍻
They recommend 50% or lower as the carbon will not work on higher readings.
Thank you 🍻
