That hot glue tip is why I absolutely love this channel. I wouldn't have ever thought to cut and melt a stick like that. It really does look way better. Probably far more secure too.
Wow, always baffles me to see these DIY projects go so wrong, some people just shouldn't attempt DIY projects/repairs themselves. Awesome video as always. Absolutely love these restoration videos especially the phone teardown and restoration vids! So satisfying to watch somebody do something that you also love doing especially when it's ASMR. Keep it up 👍
I disagree. There's always a learning curve to obtaining a new skill and this mindset is counterproductive to fostering a generation that can fix their own tech. Like the saying goes, you need to crack a few eggs to make an omelette. And FCC cable repairs are a nightmare. I can totally see a 14 yr old throwing in the towel on their first mod when that happens.
Those batteries that claim 2500mah or 2650mah are nowhere near that true capacity. The ones I’ve tested are either basically equal to the stock 1560mah battery or worse (maybe harvested from used controllers and relabeled?). The only batteries that I’ve come across that actually test with higher capacity than stock are pouch cells that don’t have a plastic shell and therefore can fit more battery in the same space.
That custom pitch cable gets me angry. Also, didn't you need to do anything to adapt your standard cable to the motherboard side? Great video as always.

Good stuff mate! This is much more fun to watch than the usual "let's swap out all the parts and call it a day" -repair
@@nicoful86 Great, thanks man

@@EsThirt33n Yeah I thought so too
WoW, a lot of work, I don't think it's worth it, but nicely done, kudos.

@@bru_haha Yeah I figured as much. There were 4000mAh plastic shell ones, which i ignored.
i liked the touchpad repair
Sweet 😀

@@Vermoot No i didn't, the pitch for the motherboard side was correct, 0.5mm. Cheers
GREAT JOB!
Thankyou 😊
Lovely! :)
Great job!
Thanks!
great video! (:
I love the hot glue tip but I'm sad that I didn't saw a painters knife, which is similar to the feeler gauge but has a handle :)
😔 i don't think i like the look of the painters knife, you can't choke up on the handle. I don't think it has enough control for small work.
@@RestoreTechnique Hmm, good point. I must admit that it does feel a bit weird to use.
#restoretheduke
Yeah it is saved
ello!
@@BlueCrafter8693 Yo
