I'm also a quilter, and hexagons are one of my favorite patterns to make. Crochet is no different! I love hexxies! Thank you for also showing the JAYG. It's very much appreciated!
Good morning from the US! Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve been waiting for this one to come out. Can’t wait to get done with my morning routine to begin this in between laundry loads! Hope you and everyone in the community is having a lovely week and bless you all!
Thank you. This was wonderful! I’ve always been intimidated by joining motifs and therefore mostly stick to one-piece crochet projects, but you made this easy to understand and I think I might try it. I love crocheting with fine yarns, because I think it makes a more elegant fabric. That little blanket is lovely…
Good morning Emma. Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. Your explanations are always so clear and precise and your project is gorgeous. Such a great use for using up scrap yarn. Take care and we look forward to another great lesson. 😋
You are doing a GOOD JOB my BELOVED SISTER ❤ ❤ ❤. I like your work., 👏👏👏. I'm going to do it for myself. All the best, and LOVE 💞💞💞💞💞💕FROM SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦
Emma, you make the join as you go process so easy to understand. Excellent pace as well. I was able to crochet right along with you. Thank you for a fabulous tutorial.
Oh my goodness I will have to watch this and re-watch it while I am working these hexagons. I LOVE THEM!!! Thank you for making this look so easy - your instructions are wonderful. 😊
I love this blanket so much! Your tutorial is excellent, you explain it so beautifully with a lovely calm, soothing voice. I just went over to Beehive Yarns and bought a mini set so it would look similar to yours, such gorgeous colours.❤😊
Merci beaucoup ! Je voulais faire une jolie couverture en hexagones pour mon petit chat et je cherchais comment les assembler facilement ! Vos explications sont très claires. Enjoy !!! 🤗
Thank you Emma C for yet another beautiful design and video. Will there be and half hex’s on the outer edge? Do you have a video for half hex’s with this joining method? Would a half Hexi be the same height as the mini granny squares?
I can’t believe I have never made one of these blankets! I have some beautiful hand-dyed yarn that would be perfect as well! I am about to start a pattern test for Kylie from Stitched up Craft so it will have to wait until I get through that 🥰
Hi Emma, Thank you for the tutorial! You are are so clear and helpful! I was wondering aprox how many grams of fingering weight yarn it takes to create each hexie?
Hi Emma, I was wondering if I could see pic of finished hexagons. I keep attaching but have no idea what I’m making🤣could use some ideas Thx Robin Evans
I’m going to start using my left over sock yarn. I’m super excited but wondering how to lay it out. How to know how many on the top vs the sides. Thank you for your tutorial. I love your blanket and the thought that I can use my sock yarn. 🧶
There is never too many scrappy blankets. Honestly, sometimes it’s not enough! lol yarn craft your heart out! Like my husband says “if it brings you joy and takes you to a happy place, keep on crafting to your heart’s content.” I live by that motto now.
Hi Emma, can baby yarn or a size 4 wt be used if I don't have sock yarn? This is a beautiful for a blanket, lapghan, even a baby blanket and many things. Tfs ❤❤❤❤
Hi Emma. Would you please be able to do a yutorial on keeping the edges of a blanket straight as you go. One edge is usually straighter than the other but they are wiggley. I hope you can help.
Hi Emma love all your videos. Question: when you are starting your hexi do you catch your tail of your yarn in with your work so to not have to weave it in. Thanks dear❤
Just answered my question, I’ve been doing magic circle and two ends for each hex, not sure how to crochet over ends on this one but might try. Thx again great pattern

Hi you really do a Beautiful 😍 🤩 job
Thank you so much 🤗
Great tutorial Emma. I love hexagons for some reason!. Also how many scrappy blankets is too many? Just asking for a friend 🙃
There is never too many scrappy blankets. Honestly, sometimes it’s not enough! lol yarn craft your heart out! Like my husband says “if it brings you joy and takes you to a happy place, keep on crafting to your heart’s content.” I live by that motto now.
I’ve been told by a good authority that you can never have too many scrappy blankets 😁☺️
Hi Emma, can baby yarn or a size 4 wt be used if I don't have sock yarn? This is a beautiful for a blanket, lapghan, even a baby blanket and many things. Tfs ❤❤❤❤
Yes, you could use any yarn for this really just as long as you adjust your hook size 🥰

@@emmacmakes Thanks Emma.
What yarn is it? It's so beautiful❣️ Nice easy explained, thanks 💕
I’m using lots of scrap 4ply handdyed yarn 🥰
Hola descubrí tu canal hoy , me encantas tus trabajos , sería ideal poner subtítulos en español , gracias cariños desde Chile ❤️.
Hi Emma love all your videos. Question: when you are starting your hexi do you catch your tail of your yarn in with your work so to not have to weave it in. Thanks dear❤
Thank you! I don’t, I sew all of my ends in once I’m done but you could absolutely crochet over them if you preferred ☺️
Just answered my question, I’ve been doing magic circle and two ends for each hex, not sure how to crochet over ends on this one but might try. Thx again great pattern
❤
Do you begin by joining 2 or do you need to have 3 to start joining …
You only need to make one full hexagon, after that you will join them as you go ☺️
六角形大好き(*⌒▽⌒*)
Will you be posting how to do a half hexagon join as you go (JAYG)
Yes! This is next on my list and will hopefully be up within the next couple of weeks ☺️
❤
Looks more complicated joining as you go rather than after the hexagon is completed. So you have a video showing the joining with complete hexagons?
No, sorry ☺️
🙏🙌🏻
I don’t have enough scraps. Are there mini skeins you can recommend. Where can I get mini skeins.
Thanks.
Lots of yarn dyers sell them - have a look at Beehive Yarns and others ☺️
How does a finished Afghan or Blanket look with this hexagon pattern?
I’m wondering the same. How to lay it out?
Hi Emma, I was wondering if I could see pic of finished hexagons. I keep attaching but have no idea what I’m making🤣could use some ideas
