I just came across this book while being laid up in bed for the last few days....definitely cheered me up. Thank you Richard Hammond for being part of the funniest trio on tv ever;in my humble opinion anyway 😂
You should be so proud of everything you’ve ever done. You lighten up the lives of countless people. I’m considering suicide at this very moment and going to listen to your words in this book first. So you’ve actually saved my life. I thank you my friend xxxxxx
@@robertlally2413 Stick with it friend... There is always something worth a giggle... Somewhere and usually quite unexpected.. Chin Up & don't let the fools bother you.
I’ve been there many times myself, friend. I have severe manic depression and have for years. The only thing i can say (and it is a bit hypocritical I suppose, but I really do try to tell it to myself) is that there’s always someone who has it worse and is managing to keep going. Every day your blessed/gifted to wake up is a day to be better than you were the day before. Even it’s as little as having a healthier breakfast, send a simple text to friend or S/O telling them your glad to have them in your life, or even just smiling at people a little more. Little things add up over time. Sometimes slow progress is the best way to become a better person and be more comfortable with yourself and your life. And it’s never a waste of time. I myself am a functioning alcoholic (probably the biggest reason i hate myself) trying the best i know how every day to turn my back to the bottle every time i can muster. But i know i can change if i try hard enough and give it time. Whatever you find yourself struggling with, just take it one day at a time. Even if you back-pedal sometimes, every small step in the right direction is an accomplishment and you deserve to feel better because of it.
As a TV presenter I quite like Richard Hammond, and on top gear, Clarkson, May, and Hammond makeup quite the entertaining trio,l who bounce off, and support each other, generally providing lighthearted entertainment for everybody watching, as an author, I find Richard Hammond to be a pretentious BS merchant, with all his anecdotes engineered to make him out to be the superior to all those around him, he could do with some lessons in humility, comedic ability, and writing skills, from his friend Jeremy Clarkson, thanks for sharing, but I don't think I shall be seeking out anymore of Mr Hammond's scribblings.
