Grace is probably the member of the pretty pastel posse that my style most closely aligns with. Also the side the buttons are on depend on if the shirt is a "men's" or "women's" shirt (quotes because clothing doesn't have a gender wear whatever makes you happy). The sides used to make a difference because men used to dress themselves and so they were positioned so right handed people (the majority) would have an easier time putting their shirt on. And shirts deigned for women had buttons on the opposite side because they usually had someone help them dress and therefore do the buttons up for them, so the buttons were stitched on in a way to make it easier for the person helping to do up.
I was in Tasmania a few weeks ago and initially when you posted this I thought I wish I’d seen this video first because I was feeling pretty aimless while I was there. But when I watched it through, I saw we actually went to a few of the same places! I think the difference is I was by myself. I enjoy my alone time, but I underestimated how much fun I have spending time with friends. It’s always so wholesome to see you with your friends. 😍
I’d like to hear more about your decision to take this trip like what inspired it and what your goals were. I just like seeing you out and about. In contrast to you being stalked at the Walmart or whomever. It makes me feel inspired I think. I want a friend like Grace!
I came back for more bird photography! I’d like to sell my photos online and need to build up a good portfolio. Tasmania has a lot of birds, so it’s the perfect place to visit 😁
@@prettypastelsidequest ohhhh yes I seeee. That’s a lovely reason. I liked someone’s idea in the discord about curating a calendar! I can imagine it now, being sold in the aisles of malls everywhere!! I look forward to seeing everything you produce! I’m glad I can be along for the ride and I appreciate your response 😊
if the buttons are on the wrong side, it's a men's shirt; if there are darts, it's a women's shirt. The coat is too big for you imho. I'm glad you brought your electric toothbrush because when I went to Vegas I just brought a regular one and my old housemate (not that she's old) brought her electric one and I was SO jealous it almost ruined my vacation.
This video was wholesome and lovely! Tasmania is insanely beautiful. Love seeing you and Grace in your adventure. Alex - I love how your friends and family are always forefront in your mind! Everything you see reminds you of one of them. You, my friend, are amazing. 🤗 😘
grace just mimicking the swans and the affronted call the swan made afterwards was like, "im sorry you said whAT ABOUT MY FEATHERS, YOU FEATHERLESS BIPED!?" and grace's quickly rushed apology was adorable
Alex, you have amazing friends! Loving seeing more of Grace and Lucy in your videos. Such different personalities but both so wonderful. You all bounce so well off each other's energies and sense of humours. Sending love and loving the side quest!
I think I'm standing with everybody else I've literally been waiting since yesterday when she posted the video of them going to miss their flight obviously they made it to Tasmania which is fabulous I can't wait to see what else is in store.
OK, Alex...you NEED to make a Bird Bar called Coos and Booze! Adopt a bird, become a pirate for a moment with a parrot on your shoulder, photo ops and pints! Just think about it for a bit, mull it over. lol
If you are still in Tassie and want a good cafe that is just wholesome and cozy, try the Quilted Teapot in New Norfolk. It is in a Church. Food is good old comfort food, simple stuff but made really amazingly.
You just made me think of the cutest little secondhand furniture shop I've ever seen. It was in my hometown, but it closed down like 20 years ago. It was called ... Feather Your Nest!
Another recommendation! The Possum Shed Cafe past New Norfolk close to Mount Field National Park. I went there for my birthday, it's beautiful! Right next to a river, you can sit outside and watch the ducks! 🦆😍 The food there is amazing as well. It's probably about an hour or so drive from Hobart, worth it tho, it's beautiful out that way
I’m so late to these and with everything that’s happened there is a lot that makes me sad on this but I also know there has been so much growth and healing for our dear Alex. Much love and continue your journey dear friend ♥️🌻
If you ever vacay to Seattle there's three great photo places you'll love. There's this gorgeous japanese pond area close to the Kent library. And there's a family of goose that's lived there for a super long time. Every year the previous babies come back and raise their babies. Another place is the woodland zoo. There's a peacock that's allowed to roam this one area near the penguins. He's very shy and always hides in the bushes, but eventually warms up to people when patient and will allow photos to be taken. Another place is also in the woodland part zoo which is the butterfly house. One big rule when I'm there you gotta watch your step, butterflies are everywhere. I haven't been there since covid but they have a release ceremony where they release freshly transformed catapillars from their cacoon box and swarms of gorgeous butterflies come out. You also have to be checked when exiting the butterfly house because they may want to try and escape and hide on the hem of your clothes.
I live in tassie and to be honest I'm always shit talking it and saying how boring it is. but when you guys were under the bridge everything was so quite and peaceful that for the first time in a long long while I actually thought the world looked beautiful.
I did a fair bit of throaty chortle'ing as my slightly still congested self laughed at the green wading pants hanging out the trunk of your car lol. Or boot as you say. Haha very funny would've scared the crap out of me. Your videos have been so comforting as I get over whatever this cold I have is. The lens on your camera is ginormous! Must take excellent pictures. 👌🏽
Really loving the content you are posting on this channel. You feel less alone when you can relate to others. Tasmania is stunning. The bird photo you showed was adorable. It is crazy what lenses and skill with a camera can do.
I love that you and Grace are this trip together. It makes this so fun to watch. You keep saying birds and my cat King Arthur watched with me all the way through. Have a fantastic trip. 🥰🥰🥰
The sheep bit is funny to me because I once had to herd sheep back into their yard. I had been hanging out with a friend til late and on the way home, mid conversation I just yelled "sheep!" And my friend slowed down, confused til I repeated myself and pointed at the dozen or fewer sheep on the side of the road. We saw a nearby fence with a fallen section and with another drivers help, herded them back inside and propped the fence back up as best we could.
Alex, because of you I bought me some Native. You sold me on it!!! I was at my local Target store here in the USA and stopped when I saw the Native display. They had several seasonal scents and found one that smells so amazing!!! Love your adventure with Grace! The dino shirt looks incredible on her!!!
Aww seeing you two having fun and finding lots of birds was so nice. I've never seen black swans before, we have white ones here. It's fascinating! Also as soon as you put on the fishing water pants thing I knew "this ain't gonna work out" and then you screeched at the water in your leg and I just "knew it". These things are so hit and miss if there's just a tiny hole you gonna get wet. But I hope you had fun in the river anyway 😅
Alex and think you would thoughly enjoy my part of New Zealand, birds sheep and other animals everywhere and you can walk around random fields because no snakes!
I loved seeing Tasmania with you and Grace. It’s probably the only time I’ll get to that side of the globe. Thank you so much for sharing the fun, beauty and photo stops. I completely do the exact same thing!
Yay! I just had surgery, so I am READY for a few videos back to back as I convalesce like a ye olde Victorian lady. 😆 Of course, I'm completely fine waiting as well if things don't go as planned, dear Alex. 😊
You need a road trip up the central coast and up towards Coffs hat head and the country side so many beautiful places to visit and so many birds and beautiful wild life and farm animals i think you would absolutely be in your element ❤
That would be amazing if you were able to open your own Pigeon Op Shop. Hope your having an amazing adventure. Such a beautiful place. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I love these videos so much.
If you ever go to port Arthur i do recommend Unzoo near there. Lots of tassie devils. you can feed kangaroos. etc. its very small but its a nice stop on the way to/out of port arthur. Also if your air bnb'ing i didnt mind the "arrow brick house" down that way. though you have to be semi confident driving. make sure your car is decent. my 2004 mazda 3 made it though. Anyway just got back from tassie in september. well worth it! haha just dont drive through poatina haha
im so excited for todays video, i didn't have the best mental health day today and work was so stressful... glad i get to relax and watch more of alex's side quests :)
Hey Alex love ur videos they brighten my day after a long day at work suggestion for ur pigeon rescue centre /shop could be the Coou-op not to be mistaken for the British corner shops The Co-op lol 😍😘
Are you sure that cane was of a duck? It looked like a whippet or a greyhounds head to me. Also that adorable birdhouse would be a very easy DIY idea. You could make it bigger so your pigeons COULD fit into it :D
While i was watching the video i was just thinking that this would suit in the main channel! Great that you will post it in there as well in some point 😀 im sure people will love it ❤️
Grace is hysterical. Her Alex and burbs (I call them birds,😉❤) comments involves my favorite forms of humor; as in snark, irony, yet respectful and caring of others whether avian or mammal. Glad that hazmat (fishing suit?) did not leak. However I think you've got some Halloween decor in that outfit. Just add one paper pumpkin as a head then pop on a witch hat and its scaring time.
Got me at “does khajit have wares? I have no coin” 😹 always nice to see a fellow Elder Scrolls fan 💕 Edit- I have family in Tasmania though I am here in the US so appreciate the content!

Oh, did you miss the video from two days ago (day 36)? It shows them making it on to the plane and then the first day of the trip.

My wife suggested "The Pretty Pastel Co-op" without the dash so it's both a co-op and coop :D
When you walked into the water under the bridge you reminded me of Eustace Bagge from Courage the Cowardly Dog! 😂😂
Yeah! So glad you guys had a good time 💜

So many lovely birds!! 🦢
Grace is such an angel!
I’m so clumsy personally, that I would never have the guts to take a brand new, expensive camera out in to the river. Talk about brave!
I love that you are enjoying Tasmania so much!

Hope you two are having a great trip! It looks lovely 💕

Oh I once made a painting of the goldfinch that you photographed. If I ever made a photo of it I will post it on discord.

Love the river ASMR.
You’re the most beautiful swamp monster I’ve ever seen, 🕊🏠🕊🏠🕊🏠 I also had the thought of called your shop Twin Feathers, because birds of a feather fly together.
Hi Alex, I love your travel vlogs.
Worth the wait…defo upload to main channel too 😊
I’m binging these vids and loving them!
i kept waiting for you to fall in the water omg. you have MUCH better balance than i ever did.
My grandma has a dog cane almost exactly like that one in the video!
Numerous Wings or Flying Higher could be good names for a shop that supports bird sanctuary.
Can’t you give a link to the discord server ? I would love to join ^^
Thanks! For being you
Omg my partner’s parents have the exact same dog door stop but theirs is from france and we live in Germany. I wonder if the one in the Tasmanian thrift shop is from France too 🤔
Alex, you should call your pigeon OpShop The Curio Coop!
Hope everything is going how you want it to go!
I`m looking forwar to seeing what you guys did, it looks like such a nice and chill tripp. Remember that this is supposed to be a stress free channel, so just upload when you`ve got time, no point in worring about it :)
Pigeon names for a shop:
"only one wing away"
"super COO-L"
"Bird brain"
"Pigeon club"
"EGGcellent Birds"
"Fancy Pigeons"
I know so many people say “I call pigeons rats with wings” as if it’s totally original and funny. Maybe a play on that that is more positive like “Pals with Wings” or “Mates with Wings”. I have a lot of sympathy for urban feral pigeons, they were brought to urban areas from their natural habitats by humans and realised when no longer needed and then people hate them when they are literally just trying to survive a circumstance put on to them by humans
PS You we’re totally right about not going into that river when you couldn’t see the bottom- do not go into unfamiliar water especially if it’s murky. The bottom could be deeper than it appears or extremely soft and mucky and cause you to get stuck or sink
The bogan games are awesome. I'm going to have to look out for them. Nothing better than bringing out my inner bogan lol

wow early for once! Im in New York. I have been having a hard time with my anger lately and being able to control it, your videos always help as a distraction. I hope your trip is going well, I could use a vacation lol
Like Alex with birds i am the same with Cats. And by the structure and eyes of the kitty in the window it looked to be a young male cat.
The title alone made me laugh 😂 I could really use that today, thank you. P.S. If you’ve got no idea what I’m talking about, ignore this comment please.
