As a newbie, it would be great if you explained why you aer making the upgrades. Eg if i just bought a new Landcruiser 70, why should i upgrade to Leaf or why to Coil etc. What is the difference in performance and cost etc. I think your videos would be better if at the start you stated what the customer wanted to achieve and what your recommended upgrades were.
Watched it till the end since the title was "Coil or Leaf?" but there wasn't even any verdict or comments around it... would be great to hear a comparison.
@@420-g6x -12 is the best offset for a JMACX track corrected Landcruiser. Load rated rims for the 70 series only come in this offset. Check out our website for more info
You can go all the way up to 5.8T with 6 wheeled coiled conversion! 4.2t is max on leaf upgrade. The disadvantage being post rego is maintaining your BTC (Break Tow Capacity) and you are limited to 2 inches of lift.
It's a shame the braking is never even considered for improvement with any LC76/77/78/79 GVM upgrade folks ? Especially the useless factory handbrake that never works on every Land Cruiser ! At least LR aftermarket offer a disc brake transmission option for proper 4wding.
He doesn't listen, so he's not having an argument. It's just Amy saying stuff. That is pure GOLD. Great work on both rigs.
We love having a bit of fun in the workshop
I TOTALLY LOVE BAW, keep those build videos coming, wish BAW was in me country
Those two rigs look mint! Great work team.

Noted! Thanks Richard, always good to hear good feed back.
Love that coil conversion on dual cab landcruiser 3900kg GVM with 2” lift 👌👍😉

Good work Brent, Amy & team 🤙
If you do the gvm upgrade is it mandatory to always have load rated rim and tyres every if your not fully loaded for a trip.
Really?? Even if there is no load?
The load rated rims and tyres are a must with Jmacx conversions due to axle load rating increases.
@@BAWAutomotive who to contact to get it rated? With the GVM upgrade, can we get some offset rims like -30 to - 44?

@@BAWAutomotive how about marks4wd adapters?
Hey I know this is an old video but I was wondering what is the lift in the leaf setup
Have you got a front coil conversion in the works, seems like a nobrainer once gov approval, massive moneymaker
What is the added weight with a coilconversion in the rear?
Who does the interior for you guys. I’m in vic and want the same front and rear seats in mine.

20 min video and at the end no verdict for the title question.
Coil or Leaf?
The choice is yours!

Cheers team. Have you guys done a troopy build including fit out yet? Have a good Christmas 🤘🤘
Not yet they aren’t a very common 70 series variant to customise to this level
Baw does an awesome job 👍👌

They both got the brake booster upgrade.
