I recently participated in an InterNation event in Cambodia, where I had the opportunity to engage with friends and engage in meaningful discussions about their experiences living in Cambodia. We explored their motivations for relocating to the country, the advantages and disadvantages of life here, and what they appreciate about their time in Cambodia. If you are currently in Cambodia and wish to attend the next InterNation event, feel free to check out their Website www.internatio... stay tuned for the next event

Please pin this comment: Cambodia doesn’t only have Angkor Wat. So, what else do we have?
Battambang: Known for its delicious food, vibrant music scene, and local artists. Top attractions include the Bamboo Train, Phnom Sampeau Killing Cave, Bat Cave, and Wat Banan.
Kampot: Perfect for cycling, Kampot offers a scenic riverside and charming backstreets with historic buildings, markets, temples, and monuments. The province is also famous for its Durian.
Kep: Renowned for its fresh seafood, beautiful Kep Beach, and pepper plantations.
Koh Kong: Famous for its pristine beaches, Tatai Waterfall, Koh Kong Island (Koh Kong Krao), and diverse wildlife.
Mondulkiri: Known for its stunning natural beauty, including Bou Sra Waterfall and Senmonorom Waterfall. The province is home to ethnic groups like the Bunong, Kroeung, and Mnong, and visitors can explore traditional villages and the Elephant Valley.
Oddar Meanchey: Home to historical landmarks such as Anlong Veng (where Pol Pot lived), the House of Ta Mok (former Khmer Rouge commander’s residence), and the 12th-century Banteay Chhmar temple.
Preah Sihanouk: Famous for its beautiful beaches, including Koh Rong, Koh Rong Samloem, Serendipity Beach, Otres Beach, Independence Beach, and Victory Beach, as well as its islands and deep-water port.
Preah Vihear: Known for the Temple of Preah Vihear, a stunning architectural site featuring sanctuaries linked by pavements and staircases along an 800-meter axis.
Ratanakiri: Famous for Boeng Yeak Loam, a 700,000-year-old crater lake with clear waters ideal for swimming. The province also features Ou'Sinlair Waterfall, Ka Tieng Waterfall, and abundant wildlife. Ratanakiri is home to various ethnic groups, including the Kreung people, who live in remote villages along the Ton Le San River.
Siem Reap: A vibrant city famous for its rich history, culture, and natural beauty. While the city’s significance is widely known, it is particularly renowned for the Angkor temples, one of the world's most powerful cultural landmarks.

Khmer language is easiest to learn compared to others…If you know about 500 words, you just put them together- can start conversations easily…There are no past
/present tense or singular/plural like English, French, Spanish etc. There are no tonal differences like Thai, Vietnamese etc…

Hello! I’m getting ready for my first trip to Cambodia to meet my family and wondered if you have gift ideas that aren’t available there. I thought of maple syrup (because I’m from Canada) and dates (apparently they don’t know this fruit), but practical items seem to all be “made in China” 🤯.
    Do you Any suggestions?
