Fujifilm X100V :: Hands On in NYC

  • The Fujifilm X100V is the latest in Fujifilm's line of compact, fixed lens cameras. This camera features a newly redesigned 23mm f/2 prime lens, the latest X-Trans 4 and X-Processor 4. Bringing over the video specs from the X-T3, this will do 4k internal 8 bit recording at 4:2:0 or HDMI out recording at 10 bit 4:2:2.
    I got mine at B&H www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search...
Coupled with an internal 4 stop ND filter and an extremely compact design - this is one of the most versatile cameras available in a small size designed for capturing "everyday moments". Lets be honest though - this is a monster for street photography. The price by far beats the Leica Q2 and the form factor is simply amazing.
I spent a day with this camera shooting street photography in New York City. Its easily my favorite camera for street. Its got an upgraded hybrid viewfinder similar to the X-Pro3, an upgraded tilting rear screen and the best ergonomics of any camera in this class. Fujifilm have a winner here.

I've been watching a lot of youtube content about the fuji X100V, I'm loving what I see and hear about it, its a grab and go camera perfect for my father who wants to learn photography. The design is beautiful and discrete in public because its small.

This was a terrifically made video! From the intro music that me feel as though I was watching a black eighties movie, to the street photo, that made me nostalgic for Big Apple, pre Covid. Last but not least, Ted did a delivery as that of an eighties radio DJ, I liked it all. Most engaging, Ted!

Oh wow, it looks like its a great camera all around! The Fixed Lens on one hand is good as it makes you work and be creative with it, but all the other controls sure help achieve whatever you may invision. Again, we live in very exciting times thanks for loving Photography Ted Forbes and share so much great info through your channel!

I bought one of the first Fuji X100S cameras, mine has the serial number 00272. Over the years I have used this camera more than any of my pro Canon cameras. It is great for street photography and travelling. Fits in a large pocket or small bag and is always with me when I go out. The image quality is outstanding. I will be very tempted to upgrade to the X100V.

Great preview. I'd LOVE to see some real world autofocus and face detection focus tests. It's my fear of a lack of speed that has kept me away from the x100 series but the tides might have changed with this iteration 😊 I've also noticed most other reviewers don't talk about it in their previews, which I find strange because it's such a vital part of real world use.

Great job on the video. That ND filter not working in video is odd. Overall, it looks like a really nice improvement over the X100F that I had for a while. Weather resistance, the articulating screen, and little things like the top dial being push/pull instead of spring loaded.
