@@firestormlivingsolutions they retail for around 1.4 million. My ideal sailboat will be in the 250-600 thousand range. I sit through the videos of boats out of my reach, just in case I hit the lottery.
Very lovely boat and a very enjoyable interview. Marries up the benefits of modern features with long standing ocean cruising requirements very successfully.
I wonder if the nice people at Hallberg would do a staight swap for a Contessa 26? Unknown number of previous owners, it has to be that or the lottery, fingers crossed. My dream yacht for many reasons.
This boat isn't really a blue water sailboat. Rassy used to be but they went with a bolt on keel and twin rudders. That's what makes a blue water sailboat, being bomb proof with lots of capacity. Rassy is not blue water anymore.
@@alexwonner7469 You're right, but as we all know, insurance companies are parasitic scum and allowed free reign by governments everywhere, and the vast majority of times deny claims and get away with it.
A boat to dream about that very few can afford. Those who can will be looked after, and it will keep its value since demand is high. The price is high due to man hours. Same with the Oysters.
It's made for bluewater crossing in North Sea, North Atlantic with cold and rough conditions, you don't want to stand or sit close to the edges in thoose conditions, if you sailing in the mediterranean sea or in Caribian waters that may not be the same need of a protected area to have them positioned more centered.
bowsprit? its so small for a 57. on the hook that would be rubbish... period... looks like they sold out for coastal ... i love their old boats... this is just pure disappointment and fails the brand as i see it.
I will never understand why I sit through the entirety of a video showcasing a boat that I will never be able to afford. But it sure is a beauty.
Because you and all of us dream ..... It's a good thing.
I do the same thing and think the same thing, LOL
Why won't you be able to afford it...?

Sou do Rio de janeiro Brasil, esse é o melhor projeto de veleiro até 62 pés
Quick question, what’s the difference between say a beneteau and a blue water cruiser?

Styling and comfort over function and safety. Blue water or grey water?
Have a very cosey looking interior.
2 millions GBP for something that can sink anytime in few minutes = Pure Mega Crazyness...
@David Not sure what a Viator is but will do some research.... Thank you
Half a million GBP for your house that can burn down anytime in a few minutes...not so different...(other than your house is worth less...)
@@harbourdogNL that’s true... But the good news is that if you have a 2 millions GBP sailboat, your house is probably worth double and well insured...

I just can't get on board with these futuristic designs regardless of their supposed benefits

Offshore almost all sailing would be with autohelm.
