This will be the first Christmas Dinner that i am making for my family. I was worried about the stuffing and this was one of about 5 videos I watched. This seems simple and you explained it well. Thank you!
really glad I found this because it easy to follow and the subject matter is king. the host is not annoying which is good. very nice and explains it well.
👀❤love stuffing inside the turkey, the best flavor ever!!!! Chop up Onions, green and white.... carrots, pineapple , apricots, mango, rains dark and light, apple , mushrooms, celery olives dark and light , galic add to your dry seasoned bread! Outstanding stuffing!
Though most recommends making stuffing separate, I’m gonna do both, inside turkey and separate because stuffing presentation inside the turkey looks nice.
my mom makes the best stuffing ever. this is very close to hers but she dont use cranberrys. when i make it mine is always to soggy . thanks for this video its goign to help me alot this year !!!!!!!!
I have a 14lb turkey in the freezer. i also got one of those metal stuffing injectors recently so i ought to take a shot at making a stuffing. Dont have a clue though..
Just leaving this here for myself, feel free to use Ingredients: Butter (unsalted) Diced Onion Sliced Celery Whole Mushroom Sage (fresh) Chopped Parsley Bread pieces
From one moment to the next, the bread is in the pan all of a sudden, she skipped a step! Do I cook the bread squares with the vegetable mixture for long? Lol
Thank you for the wonderful ideas. I love the old way. And for people that are worried about dirty hands.... like what is wrong with removing any rings and scrubbing your hands with good old Soap and Water a few times first.... also... any germs will be BAKED away when you cook the Turkey... it is called HEAT from the OVEN.... also, if you are afraid to get your hands messy or afraid of Germs... USE the thin gloves that you can Throw away!
What really erks me about videos from experts like yourself is that they always leave open ended questions. You have to realize that people who view your vids are people learning to cook. For example at 0:50 you mentioned putting the bread crumbs in the oven. This obviously begs the question, at what temperature and for how long? Put youself in the role as an observer.
It;s one of those magic ovens, like they have in cooking shows, where you see the raw ingredients then suddenly there appears another bowl/tray/pan already done and ready for the next step.
Why do people who don't believe in in-the-bird stuffing or don't believe in eating meat at all bother to watch this video and leave comments? It's not as if you are such an almighty authority that people who came here for a stuffing recipe are going to fall down in worship and adopt your point of view.
Stuffing the bird is stupid for TWO valid reasons. One. Portions. There isn't NEAR enough space in the cavity to feed my own bad self with all the stuffing I want to eat, let alone a modest Thanksgiving Dinner for four! Two. Stuffing your bird will throw off your cook time to the point that you will wind up with a turkey that is drier than the Mohave Desert, because the stuffing acts like a barrier in the cavity to keep your turkey from cooking properly. I once put a bratwurst in the cavity, thinking that it would impart extra flavor to the turkey. It did NO SUCH THING! As a matter of witnessed FACT, that brat was just about as UN done AFTER the turkey was finished cooking as it was BEFORE I put it in the cavity! And it added ZERO flavor to the overall turkey meat, because of a simple fact of physics, a simple fact that ALL BBQ pitmasters know, when they prep their ribs!
@@a.barnard3205 I'm guessing you have NEVER made a bird with bread stuffing. A moist stuffing keeps the meat more moist. It doesn't dry it out. Putting a whole sausage in the cavity isn't "stuffing," and of course the sausage isn't going to look "done" if your idea of done is being browned in a pan or on a grill. Moist cooking doesn't brown the surface. People who put chopped or crumbled sausage in their stuffing normally brown it first.
@@trishoconnor2169 Sorry Trish, but what YOU know about cooking a turkey *proper* can be fit into a gnats bathtub and still leave enough room for an *elephant*. For starters, stuffing a turkey with stuffing, does NOT make the meat "moister". Try telling THAT to any pit master and you'll get laughed off the planet!
@@a.barnard3205 Yeah, actually it does. The bread crumbs are soaked in broth or water, like a sponge, and they steam the meat from the inside. What, are you putting dry croutons in there and wondering why it doesn't work? At any rate, I ask again, why do you come and watch a video about making stuffing in order to tell people not to do it? No one here is so impressed by you that they are going to fall down and worship your opinion. You make your turkey your way. We'll make our turkey our way.
@@trishoconnor2169 Nope it doesn't, not at all. I can have a moist turkey with just ONE simple move, that you don't know about, because you keep on putting your reliance in the so-called "experts". Times have changed since the '50's......but most people *haven't*.....
Lol...I don't mean to be critical here - this comment is intended to be a fun comment. You mentioned tying up the wings, then you tied up the drumsticks (or legs). Hey - maybe this turkey flew backwards. Really, though I like the look of this stuffing. I always seem to have a bit of trouble with stuffing, so with not a whole lot to lose I will give this recipe of yours a go. I may even add a bit of browned sausage meat...what do you think? we'll see. Thanks and keep other recipes coming.
Troll , attention seeker. At least learn to write . Thanksgiving is one word . And Thanksgiving has nothing to do with god . The 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving was prompted by a good harvest. Pilgrims and Puritans who began emigrating from England in the 1620s and 1630s carried the tradition of Days of Fasting and Days of Thanksgiving with them to New England. What does this have to do with Christians ?
Well I was really getting into it, but I must have missed something no broth no bread how did you end up with stuffing. Poor video but could have been great and yes the music needs to go
Excellent recipe and presentation. You can't cook any turkey on a shallow pan like that though. Way too much juice. A medium deep pan using a cooking bag is the only way to go. Safer, much faster, and preserves the flavor and juices for gravy. Ensures safety, because you stick a thermometer right through the bag. Add one Tbsp flour to bag and cut a couple of slices in it at the start to release gases.
Stuffing should be made separately, not baked in the turkey, because you end up over cooking the bird by the time the stuffing is thoroughly cooked.you end up with non juicy turkey breast which is my personal favorite
And sorry, but tying up the turkey legs, is one of the long-standing "old-wives tales" there ever was! It messes with your cook time for both the breast and legs.
At least show what the stuffing looks like after it done! What type of video is this? We sat and watched The Whole damn tutorial without seeing the finished product.
lol she rags on about being careful with raw poultry yet keeps digging her paws thru the pan of stuffing and keeps using the utensils w/o washing her disgusting fingers
When was the bread added to the ingredients cooking??
I'm like 2 seconds away from falling in love with this girl!
...the music though...
It’s always a good idea to check out a few comments before watching the whole vid, went straight to another vid after 2mins
I agree. That's a good idea ! It's not like you have to worry about "spoilers" with a cooking video.

Her: "That salted butter tends to have some additional saline in it"
Me: You don't say.

Thank for sharing love your cooking❤
What happened to seasoning it or what it look like when its done
Though most recommends making stuffing separate, I’m gonna do both, inside turkey and separate because stuffing presentation inside the turkey looks nice.
This is so helpful, trying to make my first Turkey tomorrow. She’s so much fun, a wife material for sure!
I didnt even noticed the music until the LC comment 😂. I love your recipe for stuffing the turkey and I’m going to try it. 😊
How long did you left the bread toasting

@@izukumidoriya4723 Whom are you accusing of being a hater?
Great simple stuffing recipe video!
By the way i loved your video. its going to be my first time making a Turkey
i didn't like how you didn't go on detail about mixing your bread crums with the stuffing. idk.
Yeah, she also makes it all extra hard-work when there is easier way of doing it... without the whole lump of butter.
just mix it all up in a bowl then stuff the turkey with it.
Just passing thur wooow fall and Halloween is coming everybody, can't wait to thanksgiving Cashmere
1:27: "salted butter tends to have additional saline in it" ---What - of course ! Salt is saline !
Question, Mahalo: Why do we toast the bread if we are only going to moisten them with stock?
I loveeeeeeeeee ! no words to explain how much i adore turkey stuffing! yummmmy
And SAGE is just a convenient stand by for stuffing.
I use something that makes SAGE, look and taste like *parsley*.
I have a 14lb turkey in the freezer. i also got one of those metal stuffing injectors recently so i ought to take a shot at making a stuffing. Dont have a clue though..

Just leaving this here for myself, feel free to use
Ingredients:
Butter (unsalted)
Diced Onion
Sliced Celery
Whole Mushroom
Sage (fresh)
Chopped Parsley
Bread pieces
You can also add cream of celery or mushroom soup to it also.
I’m surprised I got through the whole video with that background music.
Wow, I really like the flexibility you add to cooking... Thanks... :-)
From one moment to the next, the bread is in the pan all of a sudden, she skipped a step! Do I cook the bread squares with the vegetable mixture for long? Lol
Can you use EVOO instead of butter?

How much mushrooms did you use? How many cups? Not the greatest video but I love the recipe.

Bread crumbs in the oven?
Just slice your bread into cubes, ahead of time and let them air dry.
She said to toast them. Do you not know how to toast bread??

Do you salt and pepper to stuffing say at time 5:00
In order for the herbs and seasonings to reach the turkey, you MUST put them in between the skin and the meat!
Anyone tried her recipe?
You didn’t show adding chicken broth to the stuffing mixture or anything to bind it together.
I like that. A woman that knows her place.

So what happens to the remainder of the turkey? It's been contaminated by her hand that stuffed the turkey? I need help!
Helpful video but god that background music is bad and tacky

Mushrooms in stuffing?

12 pounds! I have chickens get bigger than that!

why making that much stuffing of you're not gonna use it all? what a waste
Not fixed.
Don't forget to remove the stuffing from the turkey after it's through cooking or it will spoil and taste like shit literally.
U skipped the part with the bread n maybe broth etc i give this a thunbs down
I'd be concerned to let poultry get to room temperature
Use turkey broth(:
And sorry, but tying up the turkey legs, is one of the long-standing "old-wives tales" there ever was!
It messes with your cook time for both the breast and legs.

this woman should buy a blender! lol! gets the work done and a better texture from the stuffing!
And that piece of bread that you top the cavity with, is NOT gonna be filled with turkey fat.
Far from it. Can any of you here, tell me WHY that is?

i am an animal
