Dream car, with changed gearing. It's a shame Porsche purposely made this worse (911 preservation) with the crazy tall gearing. That said, this GT4 gen is much better than the new one which is heavier, more digital, ect. This.car is amazing. Loved this banter between you two. Great insights. Love the color.
I’ve changed the tires on my GT4 to pilot sport 4S , and I love them , now I can drive it hard in any condition dry or wet with confidence. My car came originally with Dunlop sportmax race (lasted only 10k miles) which are even stickier than Cup 2s but really awful on wet roads. The other thing with pilot sports 4S is that they are 305 in the rear and they fit fine
I just picked up a super low mileage CPO 2019 718 Boxster GTS. It came with the carbon full bucket seats and the manual six speed. Absolutely love them!
@@jameswillard1 To me the sound of the T4 is fantastic. The T4 motor brings the torque on at very low RPMs. The 2020 718 GTS will be $10K more and yet offer no measurable performance difference over the 2019. For me that is a big price to pay for a "sound".
Nice black car. I've always been apprehensive about black cars because black cars are just so hard to keep clean. Are you buying stock in California Car Dusters to keep your black car as shiny black as it can be?
Totally agree with Derek on the suspension hampering the day-to-day usability of this car-I ended up swapping out the stock PASM with the DSC Sport Controller and it is *much* more usable as a daily driver now in normal mode. You can also customize-via software maps-both the normal and sport setups to be as soft or firm as you’d like; in the words of one motorsport tuner I know “DSC turns your suspension setup into essentially an $8k system with a single module”. Can’t recommend them enough for Porsche GT cars.

Great review and of course awesome car, I only wish I could drive or own one someday but I am getting old AF and this VeeDub might just have to do. She pretty great actually for a FWD performance sedan. Glad to see the channel still growing Micah and I hope to talk flying with you someday as I have always wanted to. @@DuBstep115 You can usually tell it's been repainted. It ain't easy to mix the exact color, plus it ages as well, color codes because "inaccurate" over time.
looks to low and stiff to drive on normal roads.....really bouncing around and almost scaring... brakes are big in the back cos the Engine is there - doo !

On rear weight biased cars you need big brakes in the back too, like the new C8 corvette has same size rotors back as the base C7 had front.

I replaced my Cup 2's with PS4S's as well. Much more refined, amazing in the pouring rain.

Because color code is not a thing and paint shops can't mix any paint in the world that you want.
