Actually, Delta and Zeta (Only seen her a little) aren't elves, Delta is a Wolf-ish therianthrope and Zeta a Cat/Leopard one, Nu is also not an elf but a human. Elves are just much more likely to be possessed than Therianthropes, and Therianthropes are more likely than humans to be possessed. So thats why most people in Shadow Garden are elves. Though Nu, Cid and Claire all got possessed at some point and they're humans.
All of the 7 Shadows and the numbers where possessed. The 7 Shadows where all cured and given their powers by Cid. And then almost all of the numbers where cured by Alpha and Epsilon (Only the 2 of them know how to cure the possesion because Cid taught Alpha and Alpha taught Epsilon).
Yes, every single member(girl) of Shadow Garden was/is a Possessed, someone with the "corrupted" blood of the "heroes"(the 3 elf, human, and beastfolk girls whom survived the Cult's experiments), being decended from them. The thing ya'll were thinking of is a Polaroid camera, although, the Rolapoid in the anime looks like a disposable camera that one gets developed, rather than the immediate physical photo of the Polaroid.
