I have had 5 years out of the game, and these are the nicest bag gloves i've ever seen. Perfect for a real hard heavy bag, so many people like chunky big gloves these days, but you'll never develop true power wearing big gloves compared to small bag gloves like this.
I bought these as my first ever boxing gloves for bag work. I liked how they didn't seem as bulky, and as much as I love Rival (especially being Canadian) I think the gloves are usually kind of tacky looking with too many or too big of a bro tribal tattoo looking logo. The RB-50 are the plainest looking pair of bag gloves they offer, apart from maybe the RB-80's but I wanted real leather gloves. Thanks for your work with all the great reviews. I'm like 6'2 190 and didn't even bother measuring as I know I have big hands and just bought the XL since these supposedly fit a little smaller
I got these! They are great!! They do feel like precision tools. They force me to tone back the power a bit and focus on technique. When you don't hit the bag right you will feel it. Switching to my usual fairtex bg 1 16s my technique is more solid (wrist, knuckle placement, making fist timing before impact)
I had these and I loved them. Great gloves for the price. When I bought mine they were only $80. I wore them out after 2 years though and the surface layer around the D3O pad came apart.
Never used any of their stuff, but was on their website a few weeks ago, and Rival seems to have it going on. Thought their head gear looked pretty interesting. Ya, bag gloves when I started in a city program back when I was a young children were just leather mitts, no padding. I came home from first training session, and my hand wraps were bloody, and just got bloodyier as time went on until callouses formed on my knuckles. I swear the heavy bag was filled with gravel, or so it seemed. The two old coaches had been pros in the 20s, and 30s, and their faces showed it. Tough old men. Anyway, CSquare is the best damn boxing gear review channel anywhere. Period. Nice work in the beginning, as usual. Body shots made me want to go get liver and onions for dinner. Ha
Right on brotha I try my best to bring you guys good reviews, I’m in the gym 24-7 because I enjoy training, having different gloves/ gear at my disposal really gives perspective on quality and how Gloves perform. hi Carlo, big fan of your page, always delivering on content. Lately, ive been having hand problems, do you think wearing knuckle pads, with hand wraps and the rival rb50 is neccessary? im thinking of giving these a go, soon.
They’re more protective than the hdef fight gloves and about the same level of comfort and size. The d30 absorbs shock better than the EVA layered foam in the hdef fight glove
I guess I‘m way to late to recommend, but what should I do I‘m 5‘11 but by hand circumference is just 19cm. And the small sized ones are up to 21,5 cm, so I ordered them. But after you video I feel like they may not fit me because of the length of the fingers…?

Totally different than RB80 and RB11, these are bag mitts and dont absorb the shock as well as the 80 or the 11. You can for a better fist with these than the other 2. 80 and 11 have better shock absorption but dont have the same feedback as these.
Depends, if you want all feedback and pop, then yes the RB50 by far. If you need more protection/ something that absorbs a little more shock, then get the heavy hitters.

@csquaredboxing L works great, perfect fit with thin, 120” wraps. But every review talks about how they come broken-in, mine don’t feel that broken in.

@@patrickhart2483 These are not meant for throwing massive power shots one after another but rather just to touch/strike the bag in a way to perfect your form and make sure you're hitting at the right wrist angles and on the proper knuckles, think of them as more of a feedback mit than a glove
@@csquaredboxing thx but I mean the glove score best out of 5 :) Can you score? If these are bag gloves can I use these on kickboxing training hitting mitts and partner gloves?

What do you prefer for bag and mitt work? Hayabusa t3 or this gloves?
This glove
Could you possibly review the fairtex bgv5? Believe it or not Walmart actually has a pretty good deal on the 16oz in black.
Ok will do!
Would these gloves be good for an older man with bad hands for a heavy bag? Just trying to find a good pair of gloves for my father getting back into boxing thanks so much!!!
if he has bad hands no, i would go with something with better shock absorption like title gel world v2t
If you had to choose between these or Fairtex BGV 9 purely for heavy bag work, which would you go with?
These
@@csquaredboxing thanks man!
How would you compare these to Fairtex bgv9 heavy hitters as far as padding and feedback goes?
Better feedback for sure, padding is thinner and stiffer so you feel the shock of the impact more than the bgv9
@@csquaredboxing thank you!
I preferred the original version. This seems overly bulky. But that’s a personal preference I guess.
👍🏼🥊
Great review as ever man. When is your review of the Prize Ring gloves you showed on instagram going up? Can't find anything on that company in English besides their own website and I'm very curious...
Thanks man! The Prize Ring will be up this Friday the 12th at 2pm MST
Trying to decide between these rb50s or the boon bag gloves for training accuracy and technique on the bag and pads
Rb50
Thanks 👍
I really love this gloves (in L size - 12OZ) but i feel that I've started to hit the bag too hard too many times with this gloves, and my knuckles are complaning. Any idea of a smilar glove maybe with more protection for the kunckles? Probably i should go for 14oz for more power work, and use this for more techinical one / speed work
Are you wearing handwraps?
@@bernie3075 yup I am
Do you wear handwraps while using these for heavy bag work?
I don’t
csquaredboxing really?
You think it’s good for arm/wrist conditioning if you wear without wraps?
@@patrickhart2483 These are not meant for throwing massive power shots one after another but rather just to touch/strike the bag in a way to perfect your form and make sure you're hitting at the right wrist angles and on the proper knuckles, think of them as more of a feedback mit than a glove
Can you rate this glove like the other ones? What about the snitching?
This gloves stitching is good, no issues with fraying or the stitching coming out yet. Solid quality and very comfortable.
@@csquaredboxing thx but I mean the glove score best out of 5 :) Can you score? If these are bag gloves can I use these on kickboxing training hitting mitts and partner gloves?
4/5 Just bag and mitts.
Is there any point buying bag mitts when you can just buy 12oz regular gloves?
Yes, some people want a bag mitt so they can perfect their punch form as it forces you to punch correctly. It also helps strengthen your knuckles wrists and forearms.
is it good to use without wraps?
Yes
Yo bro.
Im 6'7 65kg. Small hands.
I've been using 12oz for ten years.
Would you recommend i get these in 12oz (large)? I like the added weight but seen you reply to another comment advising on gettjng size M
I would go with the medium which would be a nice size for you
@@csquaredboxing yeah? Even if its only 10 oz?
Yes, I wouldnt be concerned with the weight as much as the actual size and fit of the glove.
6'7 and 65kg? Jesus mate, eat more ffs 😄
Was really hoping to get these since they are so compact, but they're out of stock and rival said they won't be back for a few months. Do you know any gloves that are just like these? thanks
Not exactly like these no
do you wear wraps with these rb50 just for sizing that's all
You can do either but id recommend wear the wraps
Hey man. Could you do a review on the Ultimatum gloves? Would really love to know your opinion on them.
Working on that review soon!
