Random thought of the day... As a SC2 player and BW lover... I find the differences in economy between the games fascinating. SC2 Zerg needs 60,70,80 workers... BW they can operate with the lowest economy of all races. Terran doesn't have mules and yet the fastest player can get a bank without going late game turtle. Despite the differences the reason I find it so interesting is all the races still look the same as a viewer... Zerg swarms with mass units, losing a bio ball could cost Terran the game, Protoss has expensive but awesome units. Rant over lol

It's so nice to see the macro Terrans throwing down mass bats vs Dark Swarm. DMatrix Bats stomp cracklings because they're able to get their damage out. Love to see some of the new Terrans doin' work.
We are at the point that Artosis expresses his level of excitement in degrees of chillness. At 3:59 Artosis gets "light chills," which I can only assume are less substantial than ordinary chills, and far less than heavy chills. I don't know how much chill Artosis can really take, but if Flash makes a triumphant return, I worry for his chillitude.

I like Barracks, and I'm pretty surprised Larva had the time and desire to play 6 in a row against the same opponent on the ladder given he doesn't even compete in ASL any more (I assume due to wrist problems? Or maybe he doesn't feel he can live up to the pressure any returning winner must be under to go super deep in the tournament?), so this a cool find - thanks Artosis! Haven't watched them yet but I would predict a 3-3 or 4-2 in favour of Barracks, purely because he's probably grinding meta builds way more than Larva.

Why doesn't larva and many other zergs use the overlord trick to mask lurkers from iradiate more in defense? Overlord is 100minerals, I don't remember the cost of a lurker but if my brain is coombrained enough a hydra is 75 minerals and 25 gas? Pretty sure and lurker probably another 100 minerals and some gas? not to mention the spawn time hydra->lurker whereas overlord is just make another overlord bruh?

At what point does the "Zerg is still in the game above 70 supply" rule begin to apply? When the Terran takes a third? When the Terran hits over 100 supply? Obviously it doesn't start to apply until at least the late midgame.
It's not relevant until defilers are out.
hey Arty you said Larva is not playing ASL that regularly anymore, I think actually 0 appearances since his title. I heard he had some injury and also that he competes in MMA fights these days. Any more details and what's going on? Him playing ladder any indication he might be back for professional competition? His mechanics felt a bit off but could still see he's a very brainy player. Barracks on fire as always.

They lowered the dmg in BW cause in the original sc1 irradiate could kill an overlord.
Imo, either lower dmg to 100hp, or make the cost like 150.

Irradiate damage in BW is 250, which is enough to kill an overlord which has 200 hp.
If they lowered it to a 100 it wouldn't be able to kill a lurker. Lurkers under dark swarm are already almost invincible because firebats, irradiate, and mines are the only things that damage them.
Your suggestion is really baseless. I've never heard anyone complain that irradiate is overpowered. Your suggestion is so ridiculous that not even a serious zerg player would agree with you. It would literally break TvZ.

Barracks protected the vessels very well. Few were lost but the scourge were mostly neutralized. He should have made at least a few siege tanks and park them behind the marines to take out the sunkens and lurkers. Larva threw a few dark swarms in latter part of the game but it was too little too late, although he did defend tenaciously.
