Hey Artosis I rarely comment but I'm sick today home from work so watching much earlier than usual, just wanted to let you know I've been watching your casts since WCG and even played with you a few times back in the WGTour and Cloud Ladder days and I've loved your content, and enjoyed living vicariously through you as in many ways you're living my old high school dream life. I like how Taengu just kept fighting til' the end there. Great stuff~. Doing what he can to try and bring things back after that shakey start. And honestly, I think it really might've been the early zergling run by that did him in. If he'd just waited another 2 seconds for the 2nd firebat to get into position properly, the Zerglings don't get in and he doesn't lose SCV's. But, I might've made that same mistake. I could totally see myself doing the same thing and going "Ok, I have both firebats out, I'm running them to their position and I shift clicked hold position. No way he runs zerglings by in this 2 second window of opportunity... ... OH MY GOSH, HE DID!"
Loved your breakdown of the qualifiers on the other channel. Its a shame you can't get access to the qualifier games...I bet they'd be a goldmine of cool games for this channel.

Impressive scrapping from behind, despite the fact that everything went wrong for Tengu he kept playing in a manner that, if his opponent became sloppy, he could have easily come back into it. Admirable and great practice for the more complicated scenarios where a mistake from the opponent would be more reasonable. Great to see a display of the logic behind terran meta strats, get well soon Arty!
Artosis, in your expert opinion, how would the broodwar scene change if every player was forced to change their name to something with more than 2 syllables?
That's a few decades away. We haven't even run out of 1 syllable names. ... I'm picturing a future with HeroScan competing against SnowSnowQueen for a spot in ASL 1395
This may not be the place to comment but because you brought up taengu qualifying for ASL, I would like to request the group selections go back to being subbed. I don't mind the actual games being dubbed over like they were in the last season but I always enjoyed watching the group selection banter and it watches much better if we can hear the players talk with subs underneath. Just my two cents, I'll be watching the new ASL season regardless.
They just consume to get the energy back. If you go EMP -> Irradiate, then you have to EMP them a second time or they will still get a spell off before the irradiate kills them.
Imagine making effort to actually go for 2 firebats and then not waiting extra 2 seconds to get them into position... Sloppy, risky... MEH If you're not going safe, then just rush with marines, effect would be only better
I mean no offense, but does Artosis know the result beforehand always? sometimes I feel he already knows and that ruins the game for me. I really like the content but I just want to know? Thank you. God bless.
Artosis has been accused of watching matches beforehand to somehow impress people with his predictions I guess...? but there's zero evidence this is the case, as he does the exact same thing when commentating live games. Not to kiss Dan's ass anymore than is strictly necessary, but I don't think people understand the breadth and depth of his knowledge of BW. There are few people worldwide that can rival it.
Man, do I hate this "choke based" maps... I miss those with wide open entrances and islands which would force players to really use their brains instaed of sticking to the same old meta over and over. I'd be great to see these top players playing in some island maps or maps with barely no chokes to force a change of strategy and a use of their brains.
Uh... using their brains to pick zerg and attack with zerglings on 1 base? the reason maps look the way they look is that we know what happens when they don't look like this, and it's not fun lol.

To be fair to this guy, island maps could feasibly be modified to make them balanced, and maps without an easy expansion may be playable if there are two geysers in the main. The latter hasn't been tried, and the former only a little.
Arto u keep pumping this guy but all the matches i have seen from him, it looks like an amateur player (him) vs pro. He get totally outplayed all the time, including this. I seriously doubt he will win any ASL17 matches in RO24.
He's getting better and better all the time. I've seen him take several games off of pros, and I don't even follow him much. And anyway "new" (lol) blood is always welcomed in the pro scene.
So satisfying to watch, finally a Terran loss, but doesn't mean they dont need a nerf. This Terran didnt produce enough medics, vessels, vulutures, siege tanks, and valkyries, all of which need a nerf. That's the reason for his defeat. The fact that a Zerg needs 150% the economy of a Terran player to wins shows you their units are 50% overpowered.

The lack of firebat position was a huge, huge mistake. Arty was nice to taengu all the game, but it was really over.

I agree, I like the subtitles better. IIRC, Tastosis mentioned that subtitles take a lot more time to produce, that's why they switched to dubbing.
