As a graduate who attended this commencement... the heckling was honestly embarrassing.

So how would you suggest standing up to the republican nonsense?

They all repeat the same thing but none of them can provide an example of how he has done so and so

Yeah I'd rather the governor not stand in solidarity with kari Lake.

@@MadChristoph i graduated two years ago as a nurse. The irony is his policy for abortion will impact the np who graduated in this commencement. They will have to deal with their patients and the pitfalls that come politicians trying to be doctors. So no I don't think he should be there. The protest were peaceful. It wasn't a jan 6th level protest. They walked out and held signs. Not shot up a building. People can protest even at their own graduation.

I am like these kids age and it's very obvious they have NO knowledge about this alleged "anti-trans" bill, let alone politics, in general.

"I am like these kids age" you're either pretending to be youthful or you're jealous that these people actuslly graduated while you clearly didn't get past kindergarten

I'm a Democrat, but I feel students need to be willing to listen to anyone who speaks at their university. You can't just live in your own bubble. Education includes listening to people with all kinds of perspectives.

That's a silly belief tbf. Not gonna dissect it but I think you can figure out why. It has to do with your perspective ironically.

"all kinds of perspectives" - such as taking away your right to choose what you can do _with your own body_ or ban books, or rewrite history.
GTFO man, there's a world of difference between listening to someone else's persectives, and letting people who _actively_ work against the good of society, have a platform.
Or do you think everyone should have been given the chance to hear out that one shouty guy in Germany in the 1930's?
