Plot armour for this show is on a whole another level
The plot armour for the worst characters on the show by far💯
except for likeable characters. As soon as they killed off Trevor when he was becoming badass i stopped watching

I love how they made an effort to bring back Troy whom was killed off for a stupid reason just to once again kill him off for a stupid reason.
Bringing him back was so dumb. He got his head caved in with a hammer and lost in a dam explosion
I mean we really need to delve in this writing and why was it so moronic. Why does Madison or Strand have any legs to stand on with everything they have done. But i knew Troy was going to die regardless of him saving Her but what i had an issue with is why they let way more bad people live after stupid ass speeches????
I would have loved it if Troy had killed Madison this time!!

The more I listened the more bewildered I got. Literally every single character in the show can't actually die. There are no permanent deaths.
All of the best male characters are dead dead. Travis, Nick and John Dorie.

I remember how season 3 was looking to become an amazing continuation of the show but instead they killed off nick and from there everything went to shit.

Generally it's because the first season is written with the original director (big name), but not the following seasons.
YES!! I stopped watching FTWD a couple seasons ago, but still want to know what happen. I’ve been waiting for Man of Recaps do his thing.

Seasons 1-3 of fear was GOATED, too bad the new showrunners didn’t believe in it’s premise

Not even done watching the recap, but there's this pattern where everywhere they go, they disrupt the peace. It's frustrating cause they don't seem to learn
Any TWD series is like that... either someone goes missing and comes back... dies then comes back... loses homes and finds new home... etc
There's a "what if the twd intro had song lyrics" song on yt and it says "every building not on fire is really just a building Rick & Co had not yet set on fire" referring to the earlier twd seasons. Making fun of the fact that the second Rick's group shows up somewhere chaos and destruction follows
With the original way the show was supposed to go, that actually would’ve made sense. The show was supposed to follow the group go from a regular group of survivors to a group of ruthless ones who would essentially be the villains of their own story. Them unintentionally destroying everything in their path and not learning a damn thing seems on par with that.
lol when they killed Madison originally I was like oh thank God now she can stop destroying every community they go to. Then lo and behold they brought her back to once again to do the exact same thing over and over.
The last half of season 3 was the best television I've ever seen in my 59 years. The disappointment of the "reboot" bullcrap was so deep that I haven't even been curious about how it ended but I knew I could sit through your recap.

I don't know about the best TV ever in 59 years but I totally agree with the sentiment -- Season 3 was AMAZING and Season 4 turning into Morgan and Friends was so disappointing to see.

This show is completely unrecognizable from the early seasons. Some time after season 3, I started realizing the show was just a soap opera with zombies.
I quit the series around season 3 but... seeing where the show ended up, I'm so glad I quit when I did.
I.... have no other words.
Thanks Man of Recaps! Wow. Watching it all laid out in one long recap really illustrates how abysmally bad it got after season 3 ended. Such a shame, because it started out as a pretty great show.

I think the actor asked to be killed off to work on other projects and I bet he didn't regret it a single time.
I used love to binge watch this series when I was waiting for the TWD new seasons but after Travis died it's just downhill and then Nick dies too (altho some ppl hated the character) and it just made no sense after, Madison comes back to life from explosions not once BUT TWICE! and then they made us believe Alicia died just to pull the same thing again not to mention freaking Troy too? At that point might as well bring Travis, Nick, and everyone else back. Oh yeah and we didn't get to see home boi Tobias back so the ending felt off. thanks for reading my rant lol
How did Travis dying make the show go downhill? His death literally produced one of the best seasons from the entire franchise. After 3x16 ended, that was the end of the show.

Oh i've been waiting for this ! I quit when my fave died in S4, heard part of the cast was back in the last Season and wasn't sure if it was worth checking out
The biggest problem with this and the main Walking Dead show is they kept going for about 4 seasons longer than they needed to
the walking dead still had talented actors and writers though so they pulled it off. This show was destined for failure after the reboot.
The main walking dead show was still pretty good and season 9 might be a top 3 season. 10 & 11 were still good tho and it had a solid ending imo. But Fear… oh lord I could go on about Fear forever. Major disappointment of a show. Season 6 was alright tho.

bro, never seen the show, watching the recap, the start seems really interesting and then deteriorated into about 40 different temporary deaths. more than supernatural

I've really enjoyed this show. It was very fast paced show compared to the OG.
This series wasn't perfect in the slightest, but I enjoyed it. It was definitely a wilde ride. So I gotta appreciate the actors and how they gave their all during their performances.

So glad I don't have to hate-watch this show anymore. In a 24 hour period we saw Madison get her head smashed in with a shovel, drowned in quicksand, shot in the chest and get blown up and buried under rubble. The writing in this show sucks so bad.

Ugh, poor Travis, I was gutted when he died so early into S3!
Realistically, the zombie apocalypse of the TWD universe should’ve been stopped before it even happened.
The zombies are slow, they can’t traverse steep terrain too well, and they can’t climb. As “Shaun of the Dead” showed, in a slow-zombie apocalypse, the military should’ve easily overpower the zombies. It would be chaotic at first, some cities and countries could be devastated, but the military should be able to regain control.
In the TWD universe, the military dropped their IQ once the zombies started coming. In some scenes of FTWD, at the start of the apocalypse, some soldiers are seemingly incapable of killing zombies; even with an assault rifles. Also, before Los Angeles was fire-bombed, many soldiers abandoned their duties to get back to their families.
I gave the show up after season 4 so great recap for me considering we will probably see Morgan and Dwight soon again.

This was fantastic. I used to watch the show, but it became too boring and I didn’t like any of the characters I just liked the Zombies really. And this really was compelling and really put it all together for me because really I didn’t know what was going on.
Thank you man of recaps for saving me the time of watching this horrible show. What a fever dream seasons 4 - 8 are. When people talk about how competitive cable is to renew your shows, it's only a mystery how this show was able to be finished post ericksons run.
The Flight Radar Team where actually trying to catch the 737-200 Air Zimbabwe, which I had flown since I was kid into my adulthood especially the shorts flights of HRE-BUL, HRE-VFA which were the best times of my life
The thing I liked about Fear is that even as the show ran it’s course they still kept the zombies as a main threat unlike the end of TWD where it was 90% factions.

Acutally I liked the season with the submarine and the doomsday group. Even afterwards when they were wandering through the nuclear wastelands. I think they should have showed more of a confrontation with CRM and in the final minutes they should have get in touch with Ezekiel who is leading now the commonwealth to take them in.
John Dorie & Dwight were the best characters on fear.. John Dorie could have easily been in a spinoff or crossed over to the main series

I'll be honest I kind of thought that the show is over after Morgan left with his daughter
It's sad that Nick and Travis being killed off essentially killed the vibe for the rest of the show. And the reasons behind their deaths are also a shame; IIRC, Nick was killed off because he didn't like where the show was going, and Travis was killed off because of scheduling issues due to him working on some movies at the time.

Nick should have been immune.. The story in my mind was him developing an immunity to the virus or whatever, because of all the drugs in his system and he also ended up overdosing. I think that would be such a cool thing, cause his life suddenly mattered and he couldn’t really waste it like he was doing before it all started with all the drugs… it could’ve focused on Nick essentially going around with that guy at the start, separated from his family and possibly smuggled and taken around by military forces or even bandits and what not. He could be this “Ellie” type figure, trying to get a cure made from him
Immunity because he was doing drugs is definitely not the message we wanna send to the world LOL
If I'm correct the reason there are walkers in the show is cause s space virus maybe somebody who regularly gets sick and as such has a high immune system could be immune?But nick being immune sounds like a good plot

@@tamvu2229 It would make sense since drugs do mess up your nerve system so it being capable of blocking off the virus which I think was confirmed to be from space makes decent sense but I think it depends on the drug since I'm 99% sure the zombie virus in walking dead infects the brain mostly

Okay I was THIS close to dropping the show after they killed off Nick, which by the way THANK YOU for having me remember my hating this freakin girl for having done what she did for two seasons. But after having dropped this for real after Morgan was left to die by Virginia (or so I thought), I had NO IDEA how much this whole show just fell off like it did by the last season!
I was at least able to tolerate it when they transferred Morgan from the original show to this but seeing all those ridiculous twists and turns and those freaking NUKES!
It honestly had me glad that I dropped it as I did. Really makes me wish they ended the show right at the third season instead now...🤦🏾♂️
