was skeptical about the new twd spin offs but they have better writing and progress the plot better in 6 episodes than twd could in 20+ episode season

To me the show was ok and I understand they had to tell a big story in just 6 episodes but it just felt so rushed especially the ending of it. I just hope we don't see anymore spin offs for a while I just fanchise fatigue is just setting in for me I just felt bored watching the show tbh but it was nice seeing Rick again though. So over all 7/10

So I take it no more spin up shows because the point of it was because Rick was believed to be dead, but he wasn’t now that he’s back the whole gang can come back Maggie Dixon Morgan, possibly even the white chick from fear The Walking Dead with the help of the CRM

I loved the slower pace in episodes 4-5 and then it just ends. Feels like they should’ve done at least two more episodes with things going wrong with the initial grenade plan. It was all too convenient.

Hot take: The CRM was right on one thing, there is not enough for everyone. If those hordes take hundreds of years to die out then most communities would die/ lose their homes because of them. I agree that sacrifice is necessary for humanity to continue as a whole.

Im so fucking mad they didnt use the commonwealth in this show. The whole plot is them trying to spare alexandria yet they dont mention once that the main group from twd is now at charge of a SUPERCOMMUNITY with an army just like the crm. They dont need to keep it hidden they could literally fight head to head. Had me boiling

Absolutely love your recaps! Just one tiny note for this one though- at 1:01 you said 'Rick's bold escape attempt gets the attention of Lt. Colonel Okafor.' That's not entirely accurate. Rick had been on Okafor's radar from the moment he arrived and was listed as a type A. Okafor was the only reason Rick, despite being a type A, was allowed to live. Okafor kept trying to recruit Rick into the CRM but Rick kept declining. There was also this little exchange with Esteban(Rick's friend who was moving up to the city) after Rick cuts his hand off where Esteban thought Okafor's plan to recruit Rick would definitely now be over in light of Rick's new-found handicap but Rick tells him Okafor still wants him to join. 😂
Sucks Omaha stuck it out and made a stronghold in the center of the U.S. (Where almost all mega heards would be) only to be destroyed by dumb humans
