The problem was Sally confessed to her kid that her and Barry were killers, but at the end the movie convinces him his dad was a good guy? Wouldn’t he believe his mom?

@@JWB671 well, Sally also doesn’t know the full story either, since she wasn’t present for it all either. So she probably doesn’t really know what’s real and what’s not
I hated the entire Final Season

Bill Hader is one hell of an actor. And believe me, this whole series is epic comedy and action-packed. Great dialogs and no bullshit. I was kind of hoping Barry would get a nice ending, but it is what it is

I mean this in the nicest way possible: this guy's voice puts me to sleep every time. If I'm having trouble falling asleep, I turn on "man of recaps" and I'm asleep in no time. So soothing. Love the videos keep up the good work.

He became the raven as theirs no real option left and thou he falls to his own ways he’s self aware enough to pull himself back and attempt redemption
This is the only show I have ever seen where the intro music actually effects how i watch and feel about the show. Absolutely A1, as always, Mr. Man

That was a perfect recap. I started the series after a sports talk show ran a poll asking which show was better, Succession, Barry, or Ted Laso? I started watching Barry on Wednesday and finished on Saturday. This is definitely one series the "resolved itself naturally" ( Seinfeld term LOL)

The show has BoJack level of writing. I recommend it. Bill Hader is now one of my favorite people in Hollywood.

I love watching your recaps and won't watch any other video, just cuz you explain it darn well and 17-20 mins of recaps dosen't even feel like 20 mins they go by so fast. I am glad this series has ended. It grew more convoluted and less funny as seasons progressed. Many people involved in the series have done a phenomenal job, and I hope to see more of them in the future (especially the dude who plays NoHo Hank, and Bill Hader is befinitely getting more stuff to direct/showrun). But as a "comedy" series, I don't think I will rewatch it ever again.

Barry is a perfect anti-Better Call Saul show.
Better Call Saul’s message is in a very positive note (pro-Jimmy McGill sentiment): It’s never too late to change, even if it’s in the point that it seems impossible.
Barry’s message is in a very bleak note (pro-Chuck McGill sentiment): Well, people actually won’t change. They will always find an excuse for their awful behavior and have a false hope that once this excuse or the boogeyman’s gone, the problems will solve itself but the truth is, it doesn’t. The boogeyman (Barry) is dead but thanks to the inability to change of these people, the problem will never go away.
And for me, I prefer Barry’s message because it’s more realistic. People will never change their nature. Those who “changed” all lie to themselves.
Man just turned some of the best tv shows that had recent finales into a philosophy lesson.
What about Fuches? He’s honest with himself and is tired of his own bullshit so he changes, and lives because of it.
I don't like the second "lesson". It's the excuse of those too lazy to make significant efforts and who are looking to shift the blame.

The scene with him walking out of the Walmart with guns through the toys aisle, with kids and families as if it was super normal really hit me. Shows how easy it is to purchase guns with his clear murderous gaze and the ridiculousness of the fact that no one even flinches… America!

Barry season 1-2 was really good. 3 started going downhill. 4 was a drag. I disliked the direction they went with the series. Overall good show, and great recap as always!!
I felt that too but it tied to the story on how Barry couldn’t keep living the way he lived and the lies getting discovered by the cops. You could feel it was not going to end well :/

Anyone who likes Barry should watch Mr Inbetween, another show created, written, and starred in by one man, Scott Ryan in this case.
It's also a violent dark comedy about a hitman, but without the absurdism of Barry, standing in a more realistic representation of the world. It's also amazing, more meaningful content in 25 minutes than most hour long dramas.
Was 26 episodes total across its 3 seasons.
I started both shows at the same time, and ended up watching then separately but couldn't agree more, if you liked Barry, or if you have any taste whatever, check out Mr in-between, it's possibly the just underrated series of all time. Scott Ryan is a genius as well.
