      @@HawaiiDetailingman I love your videos. Keep them coming. We love your attention to detail. The video we just watched with your new red Tesla. You wrote descriptive info in the bottom corners as you worked through the steps while music played. Even though you spoke of the item you were using next as well as what you were doing. We love that you show us the product or bottle wheee we can easily see it. Your awesome.
      What vacuum accessories do you use. What do you use to vacuum your Swiss trax? Does this have more power than the OG vac and if it does we are not going to take it that your putting it down. We just want to know what the facts are. We like the look of this vac and its features more than the OG vac so far from what we have seen.
      Lastly. You spoke of the studs and the 2x6 boards between the studs. I have the same Kranzle you have and their shelf. I did not have 2x6 or 2x8 boards between my studs. I do have my system mounted on studs that are spaced 16” apart and the studs themselves are 2x6 studs. There are no support boards between the 16” spaced studs. On top of the studs are 1/2” plywood and then 5/8” drywall. I have 4” lag screws holding the shelf and the coxreel as well as the CR spotless all in the same stud bay. I should be ok right. Everything is mounted on both studs 16” apart.

    Hello! Recently found your channel. I bought a house last year that has a dedicated central vac outlet in the 5 car garage (along with hot/cold water, radiant heat, floor drains and 20 ft ceilings). The guy who built it really knew what he was doing. I have lots of room to trick it out so your videos will be very helpful. Thanks!

    I am in the business and that's a clean set up. Spray painting the pipe to match the walls is a nice touch. They have retractable hose systems widely available now that eliminate the need for a spool set up but what you have is pretty sweet.

      Hi there! Hey I have a mobile grooming trailer that came with the Bissell garage pro wall mounted vac with the build of my trailer. Hated that thing. I took it off the wall and now I have a DeWalt quiet stealth sonic vacuum but it sits on the floor of my trailer so it's not the best idea. Just thought I replied to you here because I had that Bissell and I agree it is crappy. Did you get this vacuum? The nadair? I'm looking to get a wall mounted vacuum that works properly. Inspired by your video, I replicated the exact same setup: NadAir vacuum, Cox Reel hose, 50 feet hose. One thing that I noticed is that when the vacuum turned on, it makes a whining or hissing noise. Trying to figure out, where the bottleneck could be. In your setting, it seems to run within noise range advertised by NadAir. In my case, it is loud - at about 118 DB when completely setup and 80 DB when the unit is on its own.

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sometimes air moving through the corrugated vacuum hose with that amount of force makes a noise. When it’s unreeled about 1/3 of the way or more it is very quiet. Is this what you are experiencing?

    Ah I wish I knew this was available before I setup my garage vacuum. I went with the Garage Vac PRO. I did not like the idea of replacement bags so instead I have it routing through 10 Gal. Dust Deputy Deluxe Cyclone Separator Kit. I also went with the same setup with a 50ft CoxReel. Suction is very powerful to the point where it picks up car carpet a little too much but cant complain with too much suction power! The biggest issue I have which I dont think Nadair 700 would solve is being able to suction larger items (e.g. fallen leaves). I find even with the 1.5" diameter Coxreel hose it still gets stuck. Nevertheless great for garage cleaning and cars. Thanks for the video

    do you loose any CFM or suction by going 50ft on a 1.5 inch hose instead of a 2inch?. Even my 6 HP Ridgid shop had a performance loss when using the smaller hose compared to the 2inch. I will say that 2inch hose is pretty heavy.

    Very nice indeed! Well done. I'm thinking the Ridgid vac is now for wet applications if needed? Will there be "ports" for vacuum hose connections strategically located throughout the dwelling? I will keep the ridged for the wet messes. I plan to install it throughout the whole house. It should perform great because it’s made to handle a 10k sq ft. House. The suction is insane on this machine.

  • @jhomrich89
    @jhomrich89 ปีที่แล้ว

    for the sake of the life of the machine i highly recommend using the bag, it's not as expensive as you think and in central vacuums they can last quite a long time. the bag acts as a membrane that protects your air and your machine from damage and as it fills it compacts the dirt and when you dispose of it all that is outside and you don't run the risk of breathing in those particles you just vacuumed up as you would by dumping a bin. I have worked on thousands of machines as a vacuum technician and i hate bagless machines for these reasons

It will be a few PVC fittings and some pipe. It will be cheaper and you can customize it to fit your area. Let me know if you have any questions.

    That is awesome looking! I wonder how it compares suction-wise to the VacuMaid GV50PRO.... Sense you can use it without a bag, does that mean you can suck up water with it?

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure the suction comparison but no water with this one. The bag situation with the vacumaid was a deal breaker for me. I would hate to have to change bags as they would fill up fast and you would have to also be conscious of what you are vacuuming into the machine.

    Looks great, I’ve been looking to upgrade my vacuum for awhile now, still running the Rigid. Been eyeing the Vacumaid Garage Pro. Your vacuum seems to have a high pitched squeal when it’s running, does that get annoying or is it only noticeable in the video?

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The small sound you are talking about is actually coming from the hose on the Cocreel. The air ripping through it makes a slight high pitch sound but it is not loud or a problem. The mic I use is very sensitive and made it seem worse then it is I guess. The vacuum itself is extremely quiet. The hose that comes with the machine is silent without that sound but I really like my Coxreel for the garage and it’s so minor I don’t mind. Hope that helps.

    So I broke down and got my vacuum unit. But however I am having a very difficult time in trying to find the fittings to pipe it to the reel. Seems like none of my hardware stores have anything I need. Could you please if you're able to, itemized the fittings you used. Exactly what style of piping it is, and where you purchased it from. I don't need the Run pipe dimension, just the fittings to and from the inlet and exhaust and on the reel. TIA!

    Love the setup. I purchased the same unit and reel. Having an issue finding piping parts in my area. I originally purchased the 90 degree elbow in your link that has the threaded end for hose which fits nice to the reel. The issue is the outlet of the vacuum is 2". The plan was to find a 2" outlet piece that would have a threaded end for the 1.5" hose. Not having much luck. I may have to hard pipe like you did. Where did you purchase the piping from and did you have to paint your piping or did it come grey? Thanks for your help

    Awesome setup there! Any thoughts on the Vacumaid line up? Their Garage Vac Pro seems to have just slightly less power specs but 1/2 the price of the Nadiar. Is it due to the house vacuuming as well that you went higher up with Nadiar?

      Here are the differences I found from my research.
      I am not putting Vacumaid down I am sure they have a great product but I chose to go this route based on my research.
      There are other features and things that make a big difference but this is what I have off the top of my head. Hope it helps
      Nadair has a 25 year warranty 10 years on the motor.
      Vacumaid 5 yrs residential and 90 day commercial and does not cover normal motor wear??
      Nadair uses a hybrid machine washable filter that does not require using bags. (save huge $ long term)
      Vacumaid requires bags @ $30 for 3
      Nadair is super quiet at 70DB (this was important to me)
      Vacumaid No mention of DB levels
      Nadair makes a smaller version with the same stats for $499 amzn.to/3x9Jhzw
      Here is the OVO (Nadair parent company) version that is more comparable to the Vacumaid amzn.to/30LgPro

    Awesome setup! When you finish the house install how will you use the on/off switch? Currently the on/off switch controls one hose. When you install the rest of the house, the system needs to be ON all of the time, so when you plug a hose into the inlet (various rooms) it turns on automatically. Other issue is when using other inlet ports, the system needs to be fully closed for full suction....so the hose connection in the garage must be closed otherwise you will get low suction throughout the house. I've been trying to figure this out for my setup unsuccessfully and hope you have an answer. Love all your videos! Thank you
