I am absolutely loving your setup. Do you find that the 5.0 rigid vacuum has enough sucking power for detailing? I have 6.0 SHO-vans but I’m thinking they might be overkill. I’d love something much smaller.
Thanks for watching the channel. The rigid is a great little machine that does a great job. It provides a good amount of suction and I don’t notice any noticeable loss from the 35’ hose reel. More is always a good thing as long as the machine is actually producing more suction. The rigid is known for being a powerful small machine. Thanks again and don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have. Did you check out the pressure washer vids. You may like that setup too.
when it's time to empty, you need to climb up to get vac from high up wall?! so you do not/did not empty every night? I know you have a different setup now but wondering when you have this set up and it needed to get empty every night Was it a pain to do so?
Easy and only would empty when needed. I have a small step stool that reaches it easy. You could have it lower to the ground depending on your setup. Thanks for watching
I don’t have a 35’ hose to use in the test. Probably not a good plan as water will sit in that hose after you are finished and it will be tough to dry out. Thanks for watching
Please respond. I was having trouble connecting the center hose to the reel. The end of the hose that’s suggested with the cox reel is 2-1/2 OD. ANY TIPS PLEASE

Great Video!👍🏻 Do you by any chance know if you loose a lot of suction power using that long hose with that ridgid vacuum? I have the same ridgid shop vac & debating on getting that same hose reel & hose but worried that I will lose suction power.
The suction is great. I don’t notice any loss at all. You will be happy with it for sure. That setup is one of my favorite tools in the garage. Thanks for watching.
I used 2 1/2” lag bolts. The wall blocking is 1 1/2” + 3/4” drywall + 1/4” base plate of the reel makes for 2 1/2” to reach full depth. The reel is heavy so having full depth lags are worth it. Thanks for watching.
I realize a 50 ft. vacuum hose can be used on this Cox reel instead of the 35 ft. you are using. Can you, or any others, give assurances that it does indeed work as effectively with a 50 ft. hose as it does with the 35 ft? Want to use with OVO 700AW central vac unit but don’t want 50 ft. hose to be difficult reeling in.
What did you do with the nuts that are on the back of the plywood against the wall. On your other video with the pressure washer and reel you did the same thing. Did you put spacers behind the bolts and plywood?

Question for you. Did you need an adapter to get the hose from the vacuum to the reel? Using a rigid vacuum that has a 2.5" connected instead of the 1 7/8" that you have.
I use a crevice tool mainly but also use a brush attachment to help agitate sand from the carpet and a floor attachment to vacuum up the swisstrax garage flooring. The floor attachment is good to have with this wall mounted unit.
Thanks and no. It’s a great amount of suction. I thought it might too but it’s awesome. Never officially tested the exact amount but if it’s any than it small enough to not notice.
