Ashish SHARMA No, Chromecast doesn't work that way. You need an Internet connection for it to work. When you cast a video to the Chromecast, you're not actually "shooting" the video directly to the device via LAN. What actually happens is your phone (or computer) tells the device where to find the video (from say, TH-cam), retrieves the video, and displays it on the screen. It doesn't actually share media directly via LAN.
The Chromecast isn't designed to play your mobile games on your TV, even though there are games specifically designed for Chromecast. Chromecast is mainly like a Roku player. It essentially is a device that streams whatever video you're watching on your phone to your TV, so that you and your family can watch it. It isn't meant to mirror devices 100% perfectly, so the lag is natural. The main purpose is to stream movies, TV shows, videos, etc.
If I connect to same WiFi but with repeaters then would it create any problems if I try to connect? Will Screen cast from mobile consume less battery than it consume in normal video playing?

And Chromecast does literally everything a Roku, or any other popular smart TV box, can do, and that is usually the cheapest option. My Roku 2 player cost $70 at the time I purchased it. Chromecast does everything my Roku 2 does, plus a little more, and it's only $35.
Chrome cast can only stream video from any device to your TV, and also it needs wifi for that.Lets say for some reason you dont have a laptop or smart phone or a wifi router then what will you do?..But if you have any android smart TV box you can connect your lan internet wire to it turn on the inbuild wifi in TV box and share it to other devices too, U dont need to depend on any other device to stream video from to your TV. your TV itself will be a smart TV, its more portable than chrome cast, I wont need any prerequisites. Also you can go for cheaper Smart TV box on ebay like Kodi pro

The smartphone and chromecast need to be connected to the same repeater. It will consume battery.

You cannot cast from VLC on a PC to the chromecast.
