    Thanks for the updates. This is indeed a good start, but there are lots of aftermarket giants yet to release their products for JL for which we got to wait....

    Ryan, you and Meredith make this channel awesome. Its's official this is now my favorite channel to watch. Love your work and all the valuable info you guys put into the vids. Please keep up the good work. I am watching. I have my first Jeep and it is a 19' JLU Rubicon. I have decided for warranty reasons to go with the 2.5" lift from Mopar. Dealership says they warranty everything so lets see where this gets me. I do "Lite" wheeling and where I live there are no rocks to crawl only mud and sand lol. I think I will be OK.

      Congrats on the new Rubicon and thank you so much for the kind words! We'll definitely keep up the good work here. Don't be afraid to get that Jeep dirty. 😁 -Zach

    Great 5 first choices. I'm doing the bumper and Warn winch right now, so I noticed that the factory fog lights you installed were upside down, I almost did the same thing...not sure if it affects anything. Keep up the great videos!

      @dudelum 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the reflector is designed specifically to be mounted right side up. I'd imagine installing it upside down would negatively affect the beam cutoff and pattern.

    Thanks for this video! My first mod is going to be a front bumper and winch. In February I’m getting a lift, wheels and tires. I was wondering about the spare situation. Definitely going to look into the mopar reinforcement kit you mentioned.🤘🏻🚙🎄

    Good start for sure. Mod #6 for me would be a winch

  • @alaskankare
    @alaskankare 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    very cool, but I don't think a new owner necessarily needs to do those mods first. If you are a new owner, you might be new to Jeeps, like me. I'm not going to upgrade to those expensive mods right away. I think other cheaper mods that don't involve lifts or tires can be just as useful and more in reach of other people without thousands of dollars sitting around.

    Opinions: I bought a 2018 JK Friday, having dealer buy and install:
    -Nitto Terra Grappler Tires 285/75/17 (suggested size with MOPAR lift via ET video)
    -Smitty Built Nerf Steps
    -Grab Handles
    -Front & Rear entry guards
    -Red Rock gladiator grille
    -2" MOPAR lift w/ FOX shocks
    -Barricade Trail Force HD front bumper
    -Rear bumper also
    -Front skid plate
    -WITH dealership LABOR
    It has a 3.7 rear diff and already has reinforced swing gate.
    Total: $6,479.54
    Suggestions for wheels and fenders, please.

      ifp123 damn son 6,000 just for upgrades. Lol awesome. Tires its up to you man. If you get 35smost likely you wont have to worry about anything but if you get 37s then theres has to be a few changes. Fenders again up you. You can get them body color or upgrade them to something stronger

    the only thing I question is that the Tailgate Reinforcement just reinforces the tailgate. Not the hinges or the hinge mounts to the Jeep itself.

    • @basicdr
      @basicdr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Phillip Craggs and it’s $625

    • @blueroseyt
      @blueroseyt 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Phillip Craggs it's my understanding that the weak point is not the hinges, but the door itself that bends, study how its attached ... goes from hing to upgraded carrier, this prevents the carrier from sagging or tilting downward , basically twisting the door out of shape.

    The link for the bumper isn’t the same one from the video with the LED lights - can you send the link for the exact one on the video please? Thanks!!!!

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Rubicon in the video has the Barricade Alloy Series Aluminum Front Bumper. Link is below! If you're talking about the red JL that makes a quick appearance at the beginning of the video, that bumper is the DV8 Offroad LSF-8 Steel Mid Width Front Bumper with LED Lights. That link is below as well!

    I planning to lift up 2.5 inches for 35inches tires and stronger holder back tire so i can able put 35 on the back, than my next tragets is get bumber bars with light on it and put KC cricle lights 6 them on my top front jeep jl. I didnt liked brand new lights 50 inches long light. To me it didnt fit jeep right. I like old school. Those kind lights match jeep look even better and more hotest! Lol.

    That's too bad. My Mopar lift on 37s has zero rubbing.

      @alanrook3949 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Any pics of yours? Any other modifications required to run the 37s, like drive shaft, axel, etc? are you happy with the Mopar lift?

    • @Lenny7118
      @Lenny7118 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alan Rook I’m curious like the other person is, Did you need to add any additional parts to run the 37” tires ? Also how is your Mopar lift kit doing? I’ve read a few you tube comments about the Springs that they Bow and a couple other comments said that the Mopar lift uses cheap parts so the person that said that comment and made a TH-cam video about it said he had to spend over $1000 extra to get the Jeep to run right with 37” tires.
      I like to use the Mopar lift because you don’t void the warranty.

    • @paul379
      @paul379 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes 2.5 super lift and 285 tyres are great except the knocking noise after while from the rear

  • @TheSOLEdier1
    @TheSOLEdier1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you know if adding a non Mopar lift kit would void my warranty by chance? Just got my Jeep and the sales person at the dealership was saying any Non Mopar aftermarket parts will void my Factory Warranty.

    thnxs for nice review. it's a fantastic car. absolutely love it. just the price $50k-$60k is really hight. it's worth it but still. in 90-ies it was $14k.

    Hello I just bought a 2020 wrangler sport jl. But unsure what's the biggest all terrain tyres I can get on it without a lift?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      285/70R17 are probably the best tire size to consider if you're looking for something bigger that won't cause issues at stock height. You'll likely run into rubbing issues if you look at anything larger. -Zach
