@@ronviros124 Here's a guy who remembers it well. Jordan and Hamilton had the Wizards primed for a playoff run. Injuries ruined it. Jordan was putting up fat numbers before he got hurt. His athleticism was mostly gone, but he still killed teams with his mid-range and he played relentless defense. If I remember correctly, the Wizards went from the worst rated defensive team to the 6th best before Jordan went down.

MyTopSpinner wizards won 19 games the year before.. before his torn meniscus injury which he played 13 games with along with cracked ribs he got playing against arrest in the offseason and bad knees to go along with the fact THAT HE WAS 38 years old they went 26-21 and 15-1 at one point. He started off slowly cause he was gone for 3 years and overworked himself on the offseason according to coach Collins. And he's fucking 38...they started off 2-9.. and got better as the season went on.. his fg percentage the last 20 games before the injury he was shooting 47%...
the only player that was added with any significance was a 38 year old Jordan. When he injured his knee they went 11-24.. rip Hamilton injured for 5 weeks of the season. Who else is gna score on that team?? Tell me a player worth mentioning in that team. Tmac and Jordan at one point had the same stats including fg percentage. Jordan didn't have the speed or athleticism anymore and relied on his post game and trying to outsmart ppl. He scored 40 points or more 5x in half a season. Only player ever to score 50 points in three different decades.
shut the f up with your taking 20 shots who the f cares if they are winning. Lebron Has his stupid stats 27/8/8.. and "shooting" 50 percent but barely shooting 30 percent out of the paint. Yet they bout to miss the playoffs. 38 year old Jordan had a bigger impact to a bad team who won 19 games than a 34 old lebron on the lakers who won 35 games the year before. Talk about competition all u want.. Kobe , tmac, iverson, Shaq, Duncan, jkidd, pierce, Garnett , ray Allen , dirk etc all in the league and did I mention HES FUCKING 38 years old?? Why don't u pull up players at age 38 especially guards and tell me who is avg what Jordan avg before the torn meniscus. 👂👂👂

people keep making this comment like Age is a huge factor or something. Its not. Theres 50-60 year olds still running MARATHONS. If you have decent genetics, and you stay in shape and on top of your game, there's no reason at all that you shouldn't be able to be amazing even well into your 50s and 60s... Unless you get a bad injury of some kind.... Like I bet Iverson if he stayed in shape and kept playing hard- could have been amazing well into his late 30s as well. Same with Kobe and many others... Body in motion stays in motion. and btw im NOT denying MJ is amazingly talented or whatever. I'm just making the point that age is Not some huge factor like people think it is. As if you automatically go downhill when you hit your 30s. Its just not true for people with good genetics that stay in shape... I love watching these old ass men and women that are damn near 60 still running these super long marathons its incredible.

Comparing LeBron defense now compared to MJs defense at that same age ain't even comparable and offensively no way lebron is on the same level when most players lose their athleticism game diminish. You really got to appreciate the Jordan Wizard years now more than ever with the passage of time. I watched all this back in those years and I hardly cared about it back then because I thought he just wasnt the same after his absence and his age goin up against the younger superstars. Its incredible to see this man compete when he well past his prime. You just know what this dude could do even today if he played at 25 years of age.

Mcgrady couldn't score until MJ got poked in the eye and had to sit out for awhile. Im convinced had MJ not gotten injured in February 2002 he would have averaged 26 points 5 and 5 for the season and had this Wizards team making the playoffs this year. Jordan was 38 years and 10 months old here in this game and would have been 39 in two months. Jordan could still play at a high level but some games his body would get tired especially if he sat out too long. That's why some games Jordan would have 20 or 25 points in the first half but then after half time sitting he would only score 6 points in the second half. But it is truly amazing seeing how a 39 year old Jordan was basically averaging the same numbers as a prime Tracy Mcgrady at this point in the season. True greatness.

TO: Fengji Luo and all LeBron's fans
    who know nothing about MJ
    MJ vs LeBron
This is a silly debate. Clearly Michael is better. It's not even a close one. But let's go to the facts. Updated after Lebrons 14th season. Michael Jordan has
    ?3 more rings
    ?3 more final mvps
    ?1 more DPOY
    ?1 more season MVP
    ?9 more scoring titles
    ?3 more steals leader
?3 more all defensive team selections
?4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer lol.
    ?800 more steals
?Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10)
?Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals
    Lebron did it twice
    ?6/6 (never allowed a game 7)
    ?Lebron had much more help
?Jordan never had a teammate averaged more than 22 points in the finals..
Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26
?MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs
?MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games..
All of this accomplished in 13 seasons
Lebron is in his 14th season still chasing the "ghost that played in Chicago"
?Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg.
(86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics.
?Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line.
?in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this.
?the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%.
?MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3%
?MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3.
?MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9%
?MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year..
Seriously this list can keep going. This isn't even a debate. Mj is the GOAT.
Michael in only ELEVEN complete seasons with the Bulls:
    -10 STRAIGHT scoring titles,
-Won Defensive Player of the Year,
    -9 times all defensive team,
    -9time All NBA,
    -5 league MVPs
    -6 finals MVPs
LBJ missed the playoffs completely in his first 2 years. Jordan didnt with scrubs on his squad. Jordan played 82 games 9 times in his career once at 40. LBJ only played 82 games once. In 89 Jordan won the scoring title all star MVP slam dunk title regular season MVP and Defensive Player of The year something LBJ has never done. Jordan also averaged 41 pts a game for an entire Finals shootimg 50% and won. Something else LBJ never did.
All 11 seasons. Mj has done in 11 seasons things Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career...
And before you criticize me for copy and pasting just know that it doesn’t matter if it’s copied or not, truth is truth.

Of McGrady, LeBron, Kobe, anyone had to play against prime Mike from 89-92 would be made to look silly and useless. He is more athletic than you, his hands were God mode in terms of being able to control the ball while playing defense; his ability in terms of his first step, knowing the ins and outs of the offensive sets whether clear ISO or triangle to take as little effort to get the best shot is God. He doesn't waste energy and doesn't waste effort. He literally was the perfect specimen on both ends of the floor in every way.
I had the privilege to watch all these years and the current crop of players all grow. Jordan is God to these young men being his children in terms of what type athlete we see today. It is just a shame we haven't seen the same type talent like Mike have the fundamentals and knowledge so ingrained. His mind was also the greatest to ever play in terms of basketball IQ. Not just his physical level with the highest rated vertical jump recorded at the combine. Also ran a 4.3 as he said he was timed in his autobiography.
I say all these things to place into perspective how this man was the epitome and peak of basketball on earth. We won't see another like him ever.

Wilt and Russell did not play against athletic men, Fact. Check the footage. MJ played in an era when the black athlete dominated. This is a fact with any sport where explosion short muscle movements and endurance are key. Ask Jim Brown. He would never say he was the goat. He would tell you he dominated his era. His era. MJ is playing against TMac when MJ is well outside his prime. This is very impressive.

A 39 year old MJ stats were earily similar to a 22 year old TMac...wow. And MJ guarded TMac most the game too like he always guarded the top opponent.

@@elijahf8 I never said it was prime TMac. And the comparison the telecast put up statistically was very comparable at that point in the season. MJ didn't play particularly well, but TMac did.
