LeBron not even 10% of mj. He could have been much greater if he has a stronger mind, not jumping around to chase rings, not flopping, not playing defense only when he wants to (he seldom wants to), not blaming teammates when it is his own mistakes, to matter his stats more than winning, not giving up like he always when we see those lost finals, not to disappear when it matters most, and the list can go on and on and on......,he could have been half of Jordan
Chris A How? Jordan was a better jump shooter, better defense, post up, free throw line, better in clutch, better team success, in 13 years he did things LeBron hasn’t done in 16, 18 years. More MVPS, more rings.
My dad always tells me how good Grant Hill truly was and I see no lies. Sky’s was the limit for a young Grant Hill. Injuries derailed him from taking that next step into greatness. I feel if healthy Grant Hill would have easily won a MVP

Isn't gettening kinda old for the fact officails Mr. Jordan pocket. I beg you the difference the most elite commentary comes when he drives commentator yells in excitement that saw the greatest move all basketball. Instead of calling carry he awarded 2 free throws. They have changed rules for Mr eliteness to take 3 steps instead of 2. As far as if play defence Mr Jordan the eliteness if the person gaurding him if much as sneeze on him the officials call a foul on them. When Dr J says Kareem Abdoul Jabar is great basketball player he knows what is going on. NBA is business is sport that everything is fare.
LOL! I was reading some of the comments.... watch Grant Hill struggle when Jordan guards him... this is not clickbait. Jordan DID take a great game away from Grant Hill.
Wow. That was literally a playoff game in today's game. You can see the defense and hustle! Before Kobe, there was Grant Hill. The commentator even mentioned about Jordan passing the torch to him. That didn't happen.
Man this video reminds you just how good MJ was on both ends of the floor, ppl always remember the scoring but his defense was insane when you think about how much energy he used on the offensive end but would go all out on the defensive side too How he played on both ends will always put him above others in the goat debate for me
Did you see how the modern day All Stars were struggling against a more intense defense (still under modern rules though) in the last quarter of the ASG? They really got exposed. I can only imagine how bad they would look against this kind of D physical that MJ gives to Hill in the low post.
As a Pistons fan, I remember watching this game. MJ showed why he was still the best, and why the Bulls were still the best. I really liked Grant Hill as a Piston for those six years, he proved he was an upper echelon talent in the NBA. At the same time it was frustrating to watch the Pistons play because they should of been a better team than what they were, which was a team that kept on getting bounced out in the first round of the playoffs every year.
carrying scoring yes, carrying offense no, those Bulls were a magnificent collective unit, in offense thanks to the infamous triangle and the playmaking of guys like Kukoc and Ron Harper...
Mark Anthony Loria yea I winder the same . Even when t Mac played with Orlando if he would of had 7 more good years with the magic would have been sweet
I always rooted for Grant Hill, even got his poster Sprite in my bedroom when I was a kid. Injuries have other plans though. One of the biggest what if of NBA. 😢
Classic, I really enjoyed watching this! I always loved Grant Hills game. I miss when guards and forwards posted up a lot! MJ's defense was underrated!
This separates Mike from the rest. One of the best offensive players ever and when needed, one of the best defensive players ever as well. People forget that Grant Hill was Lebron James before injuries got him. Consistent triple double machine and has one of sickiest crossovers for his size with a quick first step. He still had a good career though his greatness was cut short with injuries.
As a Pistons fan growing up I can attest that Grant Hill was no LeBron James. Grant Hill did not carry, and could not, the Pistons to the same heights as LeBron James did for the Cavaliers.
Oh yeah, this seems like one of the most difficult games that Michael Jordan has ever been in during his season because Grant Hill was putting in work on the whole team the whole time and that’s why he’s in the Hall of Fame. P2TG III Salute

Jordan guarded the best player in the 4th quarter. Wanted that match up. On the last possession of the quarter when grant had a pick. Jordan didnt switch. He wanted to guard hill until the last moment. That shows the kind of player he is. Unlike some other so called goat
Yeah and Pippen didn't do so bad against this smaller, quicker guard either. They just ran him up on fouls early and fd up his game from there on out. Pipp's overall contribution to the victory cannot be overstated though. It's that hidden, inside game that made him the 2nd best player in the NBA.
I hate when people speak of occasions, where Pippen took over Jordans assignment and say Scottie was the way better defender. They were both great defenders and they complemented each other beautifully.
12:10 defense was good, but Grant got the shot off regardless. Grant was amazing. I'm honestly surprised Jordan never mentions him in "what if" scenarios" because Grant did give Pippen and Jordan a hard time.

@@KR-ln5qw that’s absolutely ridiculous. Jordan will not spend the entire game chasing him all over the court. Currys 30 ft range and quickest release in nba history would be a major problem for that team. The Bulls would put Pippen on Curry most likely, and that would be a problem for Pippen. Remember when Dan Majerle hit a game winning 30 ft shot against Pippen in the finals? Pippen said you don’t extend 30 ft to guard a player, and that it was a bad shot that went in. He goes out 30 ft to meet Curry, which he’d have to unless he wants Curry to score 50, and Steph will dance right around him. I’ll also add this, Stephs loaded Warriors team would easily sweep the Utah Jazz .... a team the Bullls had to take to 6 games.

Jordan's mid game range was definitely underrated: man, the precision on those jump shots, stopping on a dime and the string music. Fundamentally sound and precision and the conditioning, productivity and competitive level for being 35 also was overlooked and off the chain. And then after Pippen was used and abused by G. Hill, the Hill stopper got on him, Jordan-MVP and lock down defender. Classic and nasty NBA Duels.
Grant Hill , was a very unique talent and change for Detroit's style of play in between the two era's of bad boys defence and iconic as Grant Hill 's jersey will remain unique to his era.
Grant Hill was very impressive, my first time watching him play. I’ll definitely order his jersey now. Injuries always suck esp when it’s the top players smh
Freeze at 8:34. For all the talk of Hill roasting Pippen, Pippen's having the better game at that point, way more efficient. 20 pts on 5/8 (Pip) versus 23 pts on 7/16 (Hill)
Grant Hill was a hell of a player!! So unfortunate what happened to him with injuries, otherwise we would be talking as one of the greatest players ever. MJ, he’s just the GOAT 🐐
Grant Hill was a legit superstar. Getting triple doubles, could score at will, high-flying dunks. Damn shame injuries took him out. He played for a LONG time after years of continual injuries. Dude was damn good, the best ever to come out of Duke IMO.
Prime MJ was truly unstoppable. His stellar performances really astounded the entire basketball world at the time. The fact that he mostly nabbed points from mid-range jumpers and lay-up would stun any great three point shooter these days.
Jordan had eclipsed so so great players, so many super Teams.. Watching Jordan play was like dying and going to Heaven. It was theatrical, magical. You couldn't even blink man...
The caption is misleading based off how this video was edited. Hill, with no range to his J, was running Pippen off a lot of screens. Aside from the crossover & dunk by Hill, he only had success scoring when he could back Pippen down from the mid post. And when MJ did guard Hill, it's after Scottie made him work, Hill still drew 3 fouls on MJ & scored (posting up.) And Pippen, along with others, gave extra help (look at Randy Brown on the missed GW attempt by Hill.) Since Pippen's highlights were omitted, here's the raw numbers: Jordan was 11-26 FGs/ 4-4 FTs for 26pts. With 8asst, 3rebs, 4stls & 2blks (inefficient scoring, but great all around effort.) Hill was 13-24FGs/ 11/13 FTs for 37pts. With 5asst, 10rebs & 3stls (the star on this night.) PIPPEN was 8-15 FGs/ 10-10 FTs (MOST EFFICIENT SCORER with less attempts, and got to the FT line more than MJ.) With 7asst, 7rebs, 1stl & 1blk
What made the Bulls dynasty even more so impressive is that unlike many teams of today that stack up the deck by off season acquisitions, the Bulls never did any such thing, the biggest acquisition that they ever did was picking up Brian Williams on the 96-97 campaign.
The real missed opportunity was the 1995-1996 roster. The team shot over 40% from three! Hill, Houston, Hunter and Ratliff all 25 and under. Solid vets in Dumars, Thorpe and T Mills. If Houston would have just re-signed to let Ratliff grow a little bit next to Thorpe and Hill...that team would have been a contender.

And Lebron 34 and no deffense last year 😂😂😂
Omar Rivera and he’s not playing good D this year either. They’ve tried to hype it up at times and it’s a joke. Everyone who has eyes knows he doesn’t play defense and when he does he never guards the best offensive player.
And playing with fouls, allstar players nowadays keep their hands in their pockets and try to flop.
@BrooklynRabbi Pippen was in foul trouble. Wym? And stackhouse was a great player too and was playing the same position as MJ so it's normal that MJ would guard him.
This game was incredible I give grant hill respect
I HOPE NOT JUST BECAUSE OF THIS GAME
Man I'm so happy that actually watched MJ with my own two eyes. That way nobody can change any narrative. Lebron isn't half of this man on the court.
Gtfoh i love mj but lebron is just as good if not better thats just my opinion

Obviously my dad knew what I didn’t from being young but from watching this I took away from this game that he was talented enough to battle with the Bulls in they’re hay day’s. Sky’s was the limit for a young Grant Hill. Injuries derailed him from taking that next step into greatness. I feel if healthy Grant Hill would have easily won a MVP

As far as if play defence Mr Jordan the eliteness if the person gaurding him if much as sneeze on him the officials call a foul on them. Grant hill was something special. That first step and crossover.
God, Jordan is unbelievable. Game in game out having to carry the offence like this while playing elite defence
Yep
carrying scoring yes, carrying offense no, those Bulls were a magnificent collective unit, in offense thanks to the infamous triangle and the playmaking of guys like Kukoc and Ron Harper...

Plus the political pandering and drama on/off the court.

It's not the overuse of 3-points barrage I hate about today's NBA. It's the lack of defense, the awful foul baiting, the ugly (double to triple) step-backs before taking a shot and the amount of Free-Throw giveaway like no tomorrow that have ruined the game for me.
I miss this kind of basketball. Exciting, physical and complete, by complete I mean impeccable defense and unstoppable offense. How anyone can compare any modern day team to the 90s bulls is laughable. Compare apples to apples, not apples to cupcakes.

The 2016 Warriors are FAR better than any team the Bulls ever faced. Contrary to your opinion, it would be a great series.

Epic game!!! I slightly remember this and was still on the edge of my seat 🔥🔥
Grant Hill , was a very unique talent and change for Detroit's style of play in between the two era's of bad boys defence and iconic as Grant Hill 's jersey will remain unique to his era.
it is so good to see those great ball match again!
Grant Hill was very impressive, my first time watching him play. I’ll definitely order his jersey now. Injuries always suck esp when it’s the top players smh
Jordans fade away jumper was a thing of a beauty
Watching the Chicago Bulls wing defense is always special. But watching a healthy G Hill cook one of the greatest defenders of all time is PRICELESS
And when MJ did guard Hill, it's after Scottie made him work, Hill still drew 3 fouls on MJ & scored (posting up.) And Pippen, along with others, gave extra help (look at Randy Brown on the missed GW attempt by Hill.)
Since Pippen's highlights were omitted, here's the raw numbers:
Jordan was 11-26 FGs/ 4-4 FTs for 26pts. With 8asst, 3rebs, 4stls & 2blks (inefficient scoring, but great all around effort.)
Hill was 13-24FGs/ 11/13 FTs for 37pts. With 5asst, 10rebs & 3stls (the star on this night.)
PIPPEN was 8-15 FGs/ 10-10 FTs (MOST EFFICIENT SCORER with less attempts, and got to the FT line more than MJ.) With 7asst, 7rebs, 1stl & 1blk
Yeah, Pippen is getting screwed in the narrative surrounding this game
Play of the game are the two offensive rebounds from Rodman. Really excellent.
Just Jordan, and pipen and all teammates are so good, thats why Chicago team win always
What made the Bulls dynasty even more so impressive is that unlike many teams of today that stack up the deck by off season acquisitions, the Bulls never did any such thing, the biggest acquisition that they ever did was picking up Brian Williams on the 96-97 campaign.
hill was a beast during his Detroit years. Easily top 5 in the league during those days
